Really welcoming gym! I had zero experience when I started, and the coach takes the time to make sure you’re learning safely and having fun. Everyone’s super supportive — great place to start training jiu jitsu!

I was visiting from Halifax and so thankful to have found such a welcoming space to train at West Coast BJJ. From the moment I walked in, everyone was friendly, supportive, and passionate about what they do. The coaches are fantastic and offer clear, thoughtful instruction for all levels — whether you’re brand new or more experienced. There’s a great mix of combat sports classes, and the overall atmosphere makes you excited to learn and improve. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality gym and great community! As a competitive athlete my gym has become home and I am so grateful to have found a home away from home ❤️ thank you all so much.

Amazing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gym! I can’t say enough good things about this place. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about helping every student improve — whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced grappler. The atmosphere is super welcoming and respectful, and everyone on the mats pushes each other to get better while keeping it fun and safe. The facility is always clean, the classes are well-structured, and there’s a real sense of community here. I’ve gained confidence, fitness, and great friends since joining. Easily the best BJJ gym around — highly recommend! 🥋💪

I dropped in for a no-gi session whilst travelling through BC and had the best time. As someone who's quite nervous meeting new people, John made me feel welcome and was super friendly from the moment I walked through the door. His knowledge, teaching and session structure was excellent. Can't recommend this gym enough 🤙🏼

I dropped in to an afternoon no gi session while visiting Victoria and right off the bat you could tell the environment is super friendly and welcoming here. John made sure everyone felt comfortable and answered any and every question anyone had. Although there weren’t a ton of people given it was a Monday afternoon, there were people of varying skill levels who were all cooperative and happy to be there. As well, the facility is immaculate! I seriously hope to come back here again in the future!
