Over the past year, I have had the privilege of training at this studio along with my two children, and our experience has been nothing short of incredible. From the moment we stepped onto the mats, it was clear that Coach Luke prioritizes a family-friendly environment. The instructors not only focus on developing strong technical skills but also foster a sense of community among students and families. This welcoming atmosphere has made it easy for my children and me to feel comfortable and engaged. The training methods employed at Team Chitwood North are exemplary. The instructors are highly skilled and demonstrate a deep understanding of both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and effective teaching techniques. They provide personalized attention, ensuring that each student, regardless of age or skill level, receives the support they need to grow. My children have not only improved their physical abilities but have also developed valuable life skills such as discipline, respect, and teamwork. Furthermore, the emphasis on safety and well-being is evident in every class. The instructors promote a positive and encouraging learning environment, which helps students build confidence and resilience. It has been a joy to see my children thrive in this setting, both as martial artists and as individuals. I highly recommend Team Chitwood North to anyone seeking a top-notch Brazilian Jiu Jitsu studio that values family and offers excellent training methods. Whether you are a beginner or looking to advance your skills, you will find a supportive community that is dedicated to your growth.

Professor Luke. A standing and rollin' solid dude, he's been putting forth his nature as service in action a very long time. It is a tremendous benefit to those who get the opportunity to literally take advantage of his knowledge and then roll with him. Attempt to roll with him. :) He will not let you take literal advantage of his position, that is earned. On the mat of course. Challenge issued. Good luck y'all, Roll on!

I started attending after a friend recommended joining. I wanted to start learning jujitsu for the exercise and knowledge. The class is very inviting to all. Nobody is trying to hurt anyone. We all have jobs we have to go to the next morning. After attending for a few months the atmosphere of learning, pushing each other to get better has never changed. My self defense level has improved and has prepared me to address a threat if it ever comes up.

Luke is professional and very knowledgeable instructor. He teaches a variety of techniques and roots it all in the fundamentals and basics of brazilian jiujiutsu. Techniques are taught step by step and made readily understandable. I've been training with Luke for almost three years and enjoy the atmosphere and values held by Team Chitwood and Luke.

Professor Luke Wittasek is a very knowledgeable and skilled bjj instructor. He takes a step by step method of instruction. Explaining specifically why each step is so important to the effectiveness of the move. This bjj instruction is old school traditional bjj. It is not flashy moves. You earn your rank by coming to class and putting in the time. The atmosphere of the class is one of acceptance and team. Students helping students to improve and build their skills. This isn’t an ego group. We are all there to learn, improve, and share knowledge. Luke will answer all your questions and help you with anything you may have problems doing or just don’t understand. Everyone’s journey is their own. You get out, what you put into it. I’ve been with Team Chitwood Strongsville for 3 years on my journey. Only regret is not starting when I was younger.

Professor Wittasek has a vast store of knowledge but most importantly he teaches technique based on each individual students skill level and physical ability. If a student can’t perform a particular technique the conventional way Professor Wittasek readily has an alternative technique or a modification that better suits a students particular ability level. He is laid back and calm but professional, clearly does not feel a need to intimidate or dominate his students with his authority, skill level or abilities.
