At first my girls did the 2 weeks trial and after those 2 weeks they decided to continue and as they got more involved with tournaments and now they are joining competitions they love it and I like how all the instructors are nice and take the time to teach them of they are having a hard time. Everyone there is super nice and they take the time to let parents know how their child is doing and also let them know what they need to work on. I really recommend Busho Kai if you are looking for an extremely good martial arts school.

My boys joined Busho Kai over two years ago. We originally signed up due to my youngest having behavior challenges at school. Right away he had positive changes and has received awards for citizenship and a whole new kid! My oldest has found his new passion and joined the competition team. He tells me he feels at home and a part of a hard working family. I truly recommend Busho Kai if you are looking for an amazing martial arts community!

My daughter and I had been training at Busho Kai for a little over a year. It’s a great place for the family and a great starting point for 4 year olds. We appreciated the instructors constantly pushing us to be better. Learned great techniques and met some great people. The dojo is rich in tradition and take the time to break down any complexities. Always professional and responsive. You will definitely have some massive leg power from all the lunges and squats you’ll be doing. 😜After doing the research, they offer the best value at and the quality training for your money in the Mansfield area. We only left because I personally wanted to pursue a Mixed Martial Art style, but we do miss the instructors and good times at Busho Kai. ♥️

We started attending Busho Kai during the summer time and my son had such an amazing experience we signed him up for Karate. I have seen just a positive change in my son and his mannerisms. The staff at Busho Kai really take the time to understand their students and train them at an appropriate age level. They also take the time to break things down for the parents. I really enjoy watching my son grow in his confidence, respect, and determination while being a part of the Busho Kai team and family.

Our son has been taking karate here for 5 years. From the beginning, we could tell that this family owned business was something special. This dojo has truly impacted our son’s life, giving him confidence and strength, teaching him how to respect himself as well as others. He has learned that the practice of martial arts requires dedication and time. That practice is rewarded with each belt he earns. The instructors here have always been top notch and we are very grateful for everything they have done for our son! There are lots of karate places in Mansfield, but Busho Kai is the best in the area! They have always taken pride in their dojo with rigorous cleaning and organization. Their competition team competes across the country and is highly acclaimed! We recommend giving this dojo a try because you will be joining a family!

This is a first class program. I visited 8 other karate programs in the Mansfield/Arlington area and this was by far the most clean, organized and professional of them all. If you want your child to learn respect, discipline, listening and to participate in a healthy atmosphere then this is the right choice. It is also family owned and operated with staff and teachers to be very helpful! I can recommend Buso Kai.

Our 4yr old son was kicked out of pre school he was to aggressive he wasn't socializing well with other kids he was a handfull at home and we saw the groupon and gave it a try 1 full year later our son has been accepted back at the same school for kindergarden next year the staff at the school said they see a totaly diffrent child and we see it too. It's all thanks to the Lewis family and all the great teachers and masters at Busho Kai. Its amazeing that after just a few weeks of 2 day a week class's we saw such a marked improvement in our son and after a year it is proof enough for us that this is where he will stay and hopefully teach himself one day. Thank you Busho Kai for helping our family we highly recomend for anyone with a sicituation like ours or just to have something for them to do after school this is the place.

I love this school. My son is in the little dragons and he is learning so much. The only thing I don't like are the rude parents that bring their kids to play on the mat while other kids are trying to learn. It's very distracting when there is an entire family playing on the mat when kids are trying to learn. My son has been responding with yes ma'am/no ma'am and enjoys his classes. Busho kai is the best martial arts school I have ever attended. Ever since I was a white belt the instructors were very nice and understanding, they know what they're teaching. I'm currently a red belt and I've improved my martial arts skills thanks to all of the wonderful instructors at Busho Kai. Also besides impoving my martial arts skills ive become fitter and faster. All of the Instructors (example: Renshi shawn) have been very good role models for me.I've learned a lot from them including to be respectful, have courtesy, honor and much more. Not only do they teach you very important morals but they teach you how to defend yourself in dangerous situations which is very important nowadays. Overall I love this school were like a big family, always caring for each other. I would recommend this school to everyone out there wanting to join a martial arts school. My eight year old twins have been doing karate at Busho Kai for almost a year. We enrolled our kids with the goal to increase their focus, self-esteem, confidence and fitness - and we have seen results already! Each new belt and experience only seems to motivate them more. When we enrolled our twins at Busho Kai, we were looking for a dojo which was kid friendly and also emphasized teaching the true disciplines of the art. We found the right place. The staff/instructors effectively work with each age grouping with success. Instructions are always clear and motivating - an all around fun experience for my twins. Not only are the instructors fantastic - you feel like family here - the dojo facility also provides a superior experience. There are several different training halls where instruction can be tailored to a specific group. Busho Kai also offers after school programs, summer camps, parents night out events, and much more. Its an exciting place to be! Obviously, I can't speak more highly about our experience with Busho Kai. Since we have enrolled our twins with the dojo, we have had nothing but positive experiences. If you are looking for a highly motivating experience for your kids, Busho Kai is your place. Its family run and they make everyone feel like part of the family.

We brought my son here when he was almost 5 years old--we were hoping a little disciplined training would help him focus and settle down instead of bouncing off the walls all the time. It has helped him SO MUCH! The instructors and owners here are amazing; they have been able to calm him, direct him and teach him while also letting him enjoy the training. My son is 8 now and has matured in ways I could not have gotten him to on my own, thanks to his training at Busho Kai. And I totally trust them with my son's safety. Totally recommend. Also a great place to have a birthday party--they did everything for us when my son had his party there, even down to writing down a list of who gave what present so we could send out thank-you cards. This place is more than just a Martial Arts & Fitness center, it is a life changing center. We have been with the Busho Kai Martial Arts Family since 2010. I call it a family because that's what it is. When you are there, you are given the utmost respect and treated like family. Last year I had my kids' birthday party under the supervision of Reshi Susan and I didn't have anything to worry about. At last minute I had way more people RSVP than I thought was going to be there. I gave the numbers, with a panic in my voice, and I was told "no worries Mama". And I didn't worry. I had enough pizza, cake and memories to satisfy everyone. Truly a class act facility!
