    I cannot vouch enough for the character, integrity, and quality of Professor Almiro Baros, both as a coach and as a person. Almiro has been instrumental in my BJJ journey, not just as a professor, but as a mentor and a friend who was always there for me during the formative years of my journey in the art. You will be hard pressed to find someone more passionate, genuine, and deeply committed to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. What makes him truly special is that his love for the art goes far beyond the mats. He genuinely cares about people, building a community, and using BJJ to make a positive difference in their lives. He is an exceptional coach, but what I admire most is his ability to connect with people, especially kids, helping them build confidence, find their place, and grow into better versions of themselves through the art. To everyone at SJJ Robina, you are incredibly fortunate to have someone like Almiro leading and nurturing your community. I wish him nothing but happiness, success, and blessings as he embarks on this exciting new chapter of his life. Nobody deserves it more.     We couldn’t recommend SJJA Robina highly enough! My boys look forward to every class, where there’s the perfect balance of fun, consistent expectations and learning. Almiro and Sophie have created such a warm, welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere where every child is seen, every achievement is celebrated and everyone is made to feel valued. We’ve seen such a positive impact on our children, not only in their confidence but also in helping them channel their busy minds and active bodies in a positive way. They’re learning respect, discipline and resilience while having an absolute ball along the way. It’s so much more than just learning BJJ. You can feel the genuine care that goes into what Almiro and Sophie do and the environment they’ve created for the kids and families. We’re so grateful to be part of it!

    I’ve been doing private Jiujitsu lessons with Professor Almiro at SJJA Robina 2–3 times a week, starting from absolutely zero experience. In just one month, I’ve learned so much. What I really appreciate is his attention to detail — even something as small as the direction of my palm doesn’t go unnoticed. He explains the little details and tricks that make a big difference. He also reviews what we’ve learned in previous classes and has created a program specifically around my level and progress. He’s very patient, supportive and encouraging. You can tell he has a lot of experience, both as a coach and competitor. I’m really enjoying the learning process and can’t wait to keep improving. Highly recommend Professor Almiro and SJJA Robina! 🥋
