We’ve had such a fantastic experience with Onda Jiu-Jitsu and can’t recommend them highly enough.
Their kids program is excellent, with two age groups that make it really well tailored to the kids development stages. The coaches are incredibly supportive and attentive, you can tell they genuinely care about each child’s progress.
What really stands out is the focus on safety and proper technique. As parents, we have complete trust in the team, which we are learning is so important in a sport like this.
We’ve seen huge growth in confidence with both of our daughters since they started. The biggest sign of all? They ask to go, which is a massive green flag.
If you’re considering jiu-jitsu for your kids, Onda is definitely worth a try!
We’ve been going to Onda Jiu Jitsu for almost a month now and we absolutely love it.
Our 8-year-old son didn’t want to do any extra sports after school. We even tried another martial arts place, but he asked to leave after just 10 minutes. Then we found Onda, and it was a completely different experience. He loved it straight away.
The coaches are amazing, very caring, encouraging, and genuinely supportive with the kids. The training space is also beautiful, bright, airy, and spacious, which makes a big difference. Parents are very welcome to watch their kids train, and it never feels crowded or disconnected.
We’ve also found the other parents to be very friendly and welcoming, which adds to the great community feel.
This has been such a great investment for our son’s future. He’s learning so much more than just fighting techniques. He’s gaining self-defence skills, discipline, confidence, and compassion.

My son Mai'via loves this place ! Family run gym with Instruction that is both precise and up to date & on the pulse with current Jiu-Jitsu. Both Matt and Mary have extensive competition experience with results to match 🥇🥇🥇Gym is already running competition's in house to some of the best local & national athletes in the country. Worth a visit weather your a hobbiest or die hard competitor 🤼♂️😁🙏
I highly recommend Onda if you're looking for a professional, traditional and most of all friendly BJJ environment. Matt is so helpful and knowledgeable with what he does, and it shows in his teaching and other members in the gym.
