My son has been learning jiu-jitsu at SOMA for a several months. My son absolutely loves going. It is incredible what he has learned, not only physically but mentally and emotionally. At his recent parent-teacher conference his teacher asked me what was different at home cause she noticed a huge improvement in his confidence and how he carries himself, thank you Jesse, you've been a such a positive influence in my sons life.

Jesse the trainer at Southern martial arts academy is awesome he definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to teaching boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu the prices are better than most of the gyms in Grants Pass I love the camaraderie there they make you feel welcome even if you're a beginner

Leadership by example. What is taught here translates well to real life situations and it is a great environment for training/learning. 100% the best spot in town to train if your goal is to become a better fighter.

I’ve been going to this academy since it opened and it is phenomenal. I drive all the way from Roseburg because it’s really that good. Jesse is a such a cool and awesome instructor and person. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking to grow as not just a martial artist but as a human being.

Great coaching with patient and knowledgeable instructors that truly care about your progress. The community here is great too—respectful, kind, encouraging! If you are looking for someone to learn jiujitsu, striking and wrestling I highly recommend checking out SOMA. You won’t regret it!
