I cannot recommend 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu enough. As a woman, I was initially intimidated by the idea of training in a jiu jitsu gym, but the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The coaches are knowledgeable, patient, and truly meet you where you are at, making the learning process approachable and encouraging. The training environment is safe, supportive, and welcoming. In only a few months, I have learned an incredible amount and gained both skills and confidence. For women who may feel hesitant about stepping onto the mats, this is a place where you will feel respected, challenged, and supported every step of the way.

I did drop-in yesterday for the Beginners Jiu-Jitsu adult class, with a buddy of mine. Everyone was friendly, the place was very clean. The coaches were professional, happy to help, and kept a watchful eye. I loved it.

I went to the open mat for my birthday and had a blast. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Gym was clean and state of the art. You can tell they're a solid competition gym. I was able to come out bc I'm visiting family and train out of town but would definitely come back to take classes and roll around some more. Thank you!

My son started the youth MMA classes with Hunter and absolutely loves it! He has learned so much in a short time! I have nothing but positive things to say about the gym as a whole! It has been such a welcoming environment and an awesome place to have in Grants Pass!

One of the best gyms on a technical and competitive level in the PNW. The owner, Andrew, is one of the most active and skilled competitors in the area, and he is bringing up a team of skilled grapplers who are dominating regionally and having successes in bigger pro shows and higher-level tournaments. If you want to learn legit, modern no gi jiu jitsu, this is the place to train.

I recently moved out of southern Oregon, but I had the privilege of training at 10th Planet Grants Pass for the past five years, and I can confidently say it's one of the best jiu jitsu gyms I’ve ever been a part of. I initially moved to Grants Pass for work, and while I planned to continue training jiu jitsu, I didn’t expect much from such a small town. I couldn’t have been more wrong. From my very first classes, I was blown away by the level of technique and toughness of the athletes at this gym. I’ve been training jiu jitsu for 12 years, and for about six of those, I was a blue belt. I felt pretty confident in my skills, but training at 10th Planet Grants Pass quickly humbled me. This gym was one of the most challenging I’ve ever encountered. Andrew, the head coach and owner, stood out to me not only because he runs the gym and teaches the classes but because he actively competes at the highest levels of the sport. That’s rare and something that makes this gym special. Andrew’s competitive experience means he’s always in tune with cutting-edge techniques and new developments, which directly benefits everyone who trains here. In fact, training with Andrew and this team rekindled my own desire to compete. But if you’re a novice or someone just starting, don’t be intimidated by the high level of the gym. The people here are as good as they come—humble, friendly, and always willing to help others improve. It’s a supportive environment, whether you’re a white belt or an experienced grappler. The entire gym has a deep love for jiu jitsu and works hard to spread that passion in a positive way. Fast forward five years from when I came to the gym, and I am now a purple belt under Andrew. I’ve never been more passionate about jiu jitsu. I went from casually training two to three times a week to feeling like I needed to be on the mats every day. I’ve competed in several tournaments, and whether I won or lost, Andrew and the gym have always been there to encourage me, support me, and help me improve. I could go on about how great this gym is, but instead, I’ll just encourage anyone—whether you’re traveling through or thinking about starting jiu jitsu—to drop in and take a class. You’ll be amazed by the community and the level of martial arts you’ll find here. This is hands down the best gym in Oregon, and quite possibly the entire West Coast. It’s a hidden gem where you’ll see scrawny teenagers tapping grown men, kids learning self-defense while having fun, and competitors training to be the best versions of themselves. Come be a part of it!
