Wonderful place to go for martial arts training, wonderful people. Everyone is always patient and sees you for who you are. I appreciate everyone here, and hands down the best martial arts academy in the San Joaquin valley. I love being apart of the apex family and I hope to inspire others along my journey.

I had the best experience at their women's self-defense workshop. The instructors were patient and encouraging with everyone and took the time to make sure we understood each movement. The atmosphere and relationships they have with their members made their academy feel very welcoming. I'm looking forward to attending the weekly classes.

My kiddo started back in May. He was bullied at school and not very confident. Thus started our journey at Apex. Since then his confidence has grown tremendously, he is learning to stick up for himself and is making great friends. The coaches are fantastic, truly a family atmosphere. All are welcomed.

We highly recommend Apex Martial Arts! Our son has been attending since December 2021 (he was 4 years old). He started out shy and quiet. He was, typically, a very reserved child that prefer to be alone at home. Back then, he didn’t always participate in class, and his attention span was short. Fast forward to now, July 2023, he has grown and opened up tremendously. He participates, talks, enjoys being around others, and has more focus. He has also gain skills in body awareness (and is less clumsy) and communication. The Apex staff are professional and the very best. They are knowledgeable on how to teach children. Every class is purposefully taught, and most importantly, the students have so much fun! Master Tan engages with all the students. Sir Logan and Sir Ian are very skilled with students. They approach students with clear expectations and redirect behaviors with kindness & respect. They follow through and support each student every step of the way to ensure success. The staff also recognizes areas of strength within each student and areas that need strengthening. Our older daughter recently started, and she is always motivated in class. She says has fun, and she feels comfortable in every class. We are so grateful for everything! And, we look forward to many, many, many more years! At Apex, our children are learning so much more than martial arts in class! We encourage you to contact Apex and observe how they teach their students & families.

My daughter wanted to learn martial arts, and a great friend referred me to Apex Martial Arts in Stockton. The staff are extremely friendly and work with my daughter. She is now going for her yellow belt. She is feeling more confident than when she first started. Her positivity, strength, and courage level have reached a higher level. She looks forward to class every week and meets new friends. These groups of students support one another and teach each other to grow. Thank you, Apex Martial Arts-Stockton, for helping my daughter believe in herself and always marking her feel a part of your family. Thank you, Master Tan, and your amazing team!!!

Great vibes at this gym. I’m visiting Louisville for a couple weeks and wanted to drop in at a gym or two. I messaged Apex MAA on their website and they responded within an hour. Upon arrival, I was impressed with their mat space for their Muay Thai classes and Jiu Jitsu classes. There’s a waiting area with chairs, restroom, changing room, and lockers. The instruction was great and the guys/girls in the gym were tough and had good vibes. You’ll get good high level rolls, but still friendly vibes during and after. I would recommend this gym to any of my friends visiting the area.

I have attended Apex since 2018 and I have been very happy with the experience and the team of people who teach/attenend. I have grown to know and care about many of the people, and I have gained much of my skill and knowledge here. Would recomend if you are trying to find a gym to grapple, strike, or even get in a little better shape.

I can’t say enough good things about Apex and the wonderful people who own and train there! The family environment is one of my favorite things about Apex. I searched for a long while to find a gym to join for classes for my kids. I wanted a place that was legit. If I was going to have my kiddos take MMA classes I wanted a place where the instructors knew what they were doing. Most places, especially for my young kids, had classes “taught” by other kids or teens. When learning a sport like MMA, you have to have people who know what they are doing in order to teach correct technique in order to avoid bad habits and especially injury... and I found that in Apex. Love them up there! Again, I can’t say enough good thing about them. If you are looking for a gym who knows what they are doing, great with kids, very fair on cost and love what they do.... look no further... you found it.

Apex is such a great place to learn martial arts! I have a child in the youngest kids class and one in the older kids class. They both love it and have learned so much!

I started here with their first annual Women's Seminar in self-defense and LOVED the environment! Being comfortable in a gym is very important to me. Pinky is sure to make the ladies feel most comfortable with a women's only kickboxing class. No judgment or worry about how we look! Just training and concentrating on technique! Every woman needs a tribe of other women cheering her on! If you don't have that already, come join us!

Master Tan at Stockton Kuk Sool Hapkido is THE BEST. Actually, every single instructor here at the school is fantastic. My son is only 4 but has learned so much here. His discipline, social skills, and his fine/large motor skills have improved beyond a normal 4 year old's range and a lot of it is due to the classes held here at the school. Every child I've seen here is above and beyond fit. The older ones that have been here a while are so disciplined and athletic. It's very impressive. They learn not only the martial art itself but life skills as well. It's not all games like it is at a lot of other schools in Stockton and trust me, I took my son on sample classes to every other school in the area. This is the only school in Stockton that offers this quality of learning. In addition to the classes, your child will be able to join in on field trips, little events, demos, etc. They foster not just a healthy body but a healthy community here at the school. My husband and I do not regret even one penny spent on the monthly tuition. If you are considering some sort of extracurricular activity for your child, try out a class here. I promise, you won't need to look anywhere else.

The instructor is amazing with little ones! They even got me willingly joining in, and I would've never thought about doing any type of martial art. Its not just "martial arts" it's self defense! I'd definitely recommend this gym to anyone interested in self defense! Everyone is very respectful and makes you feel welcome. A very family oriented atmosphere and definitely a "no judgement" zone.

Fantastic martial arts studio. Love the "family" atmosphere, perfect combination of martial arts education, respect and acceptance. A true asset to the county of Bullitt and the Southern Jefferson County area.
