I was extremely lucky in finding Precision. The instructors are highly experienced, knowledgeable, patient, and I incredibly kind. The gym culture is extremely friendly and welcoming to people of all skill levels. As someone who has regularly trained in martial arts for most of their life, I would readily recommend this gym to anyone interested in training.

I started training at Precision mainly focused on gi-jiu jitsu, and I got instantly hooked. Recently I branched out to the other martial arts classes and totally regret not doing it sooner! Dialogue, questions, and my learning are supported at Precision. Professor Tyrone and Coach Erik are phenomenal martial artists, but also very concise, attentive teachers. Competing in tournaments for the sake of getting better at jiu jitsu is encouraged and the gym kicks butt with the support of good, friendly, and safe training partners. The community here made it really approachable to improve as a beginner, and I still love training here! We're lucky to have Precision in Corvallis. this place is awesome.

I started jiu jitsu last Spring and was interested in trying to find a gym that was welcoming, credible, along with a great environment. Personally, starting out in Jiu Jitsu was intimidating, especially with the stereotype of ego-driven gyms. I was concerned I wouldn’t feel welcomed or properly supported as a complete beginner, but this gym completely changed my perception. I didn’t join until this last November and that was the biggest mistake I ever made; not joining up sooner! The coaching and instruction is top notch with attention to detail and clearly explained techniques. Additionally, the higher belts are all welcoming and friendly and provide me with a variety of knowledge to start progressing! Every day that I train with Precision, I feel challenged. This gym is starting to develop me as an athlete and shaping my fundamentals. I cannot recommend this gym enough!

I am a 4 strip purple belt and was in the area for work for 2 weeks. I dropped in on 6 classes (4 gi, and 2 no-gi). The instructions Tyrone and Erik was very knowledgeable and fun to roll with. Everyone who trains there made me feel welcomed. I will definitely recommend anyone visiting the area to drop in. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

I was looking for an athletic pursuit to join in Corvallis when I was told to try Precision. I was scared because, although I've competed in a lot of sports, I had never practiced martial arts before. And yet, before my trial week was over I was already hooked - not only on the content we were learning, but the engagement and comradery I felt every day I walked in. Now, four years in and it's only gotten better. We have more women on the mats than A LOT of other gyms I've trained at, and the energy isn't dense with ego either. In fact, the quality of respect you feel is palpable. It makes approaching the professor or teammates when you have questions that much easier. I thought this was just going to be a fun hobby, but Precision is one of my favorite places to be at in Corvallis and where I've met some of my favorite people.

I am a complete beginner to martial arts and tried out a free week of BJJ classes at Precision Martial Arts on a whim. Now I am completely hooked! I can't speak highly enough of the top-notch instruction, welcoming atmosphere, quality training space, and general good vibes at this gym. Professor Tyrone and Coach Erik are very knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in the learning and skill development of every individual class participant. The new downtown Corvallis location is super nice, too. I am so grateful to have found this place and a new favorite hobby!
