I have been at Gracie Barra Arnold since the very beginning, and my daughter has also been training here for the last 1.5 years. It is an amazing place with amazing people. The coaches are knowledgeable, supportive, and create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, regardless of age or experience. The club feels like a family, and the positive environment keeps us motivated to train and improve. I highly recommend Gracie Barra Arnold to anyone looking to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, build confidence, and be part of a fantastic community.

I joined as an adult thinking I was too old to train any martial art nevermind BJJ, I was gently encouraged and supported to explore a new hobby. I've now been going for over 5 years and still love it as much as the first day. The team at Arnold are brilliant at supporting your development and journey, with a wide range of black belt professors who all bring a really wide range of experiences to the teaching. The students are all friendly and welcoming. They've got kids, women's and afternoon and early morning sessions which is really good for shift workers. It's a lovely clean tidy gym with a really nice atmosphere. There's regular seminars and guest professors to really boost the learning and people travel miles to come! 10/10!

I've been attending BJJ since September 2025 and in that time I've progressed on both the mats and in myself. BJJ gives you confidence in yourself and teaches you resilience. There is a real sense of community at Arnold Gracie Barra and the coaches are all fab, they are all great teachers and will always spend time with people on the mats individually if they're struggling with a particular technique (it's usually me😂). You are also given the opportunity to set goals for yourself and the coaches will work with you towards those throughout the sessions. Since earning my 3rd stripe on my belt, I have been really enjoying the competition classes, they are fast paced but give you the chance to practice some of the skills you learn with a variety of different belt grades and experience levels! There are lots of classes throughout the day to suit all schedules so you always get the chance to go to multiple classes through the week, especially with the upcoming renovation, there are potentially even more classes that will be available!

Best people. Best coaches. Best professors. If you are wanting to learn a new martial art and one that really weaves in self defense, BJJ is the ideal sport.

My mum passed away just before joining so I wasn't sure it was a good time to take on something like jiu jitsu. But it's such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The students, staff and professors are a truly lovely bunch. Very supportive and encouraging. It's actually ended up helping me get through a really tough time. I also joined with my husband. It's been so much fun earning our first stripe together. BJJ really is great for your mental and physical wellbeing and for making and strengthening connections.

Excellent place to learn BJJ. Very well run and a clean, friendly environment. We were immediately put at ease and made to feel welcome from day one. The coaches are patient and really good at breaking down techniques. Great atmosphere for learning and improving at your own pace.

After just a couple of months at GB Arnold, having transferred from another gym, I can honestly say it's been a truly fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, the entire group and team made me feel incredibly welcome. I genuinely look forward to every training session, and that's down to two key things: the amazing people I get to train alongside and the exceptional professors. Speaking of the professors, they are all fab ! Each one brings something unique to the class, sharing their own valuable experiences and expertise. As well as the welcoming environment, there's also a sense of structure. This balance makes me feel like I'm constantly learning and expanding my Jiu-Jitsu knowledge in a really effective way. Beyond the technical aspects, training at GB Arnold has given me a massive boost in confidence. I truly believe this comes from being part of such a supportive and high-quality group of people. If you're looking to start your Jiu-Jitsu journey, I can't recommend this gym enough. The perfect blend of structure and a supportive, hardworking environment makes it absolutely ideal for beginners ☺️

My son started Jiu-Jitsu at Gracie Barra nearly a month ago, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with both the instructors and the facilities. The staff are incredibly welcoming and supportive, particularly in accommodating my son’s additional needs. He already had a solid foundation in martial arts, having reached Green Tag in Taekwondo, but due to work commitments, we were no longer able to attend those lessons. After researching alternatives that fit better with my schedule, I came across Gracie Barra—and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. My son is picking up Jiu-Jitsu remarkably quickly, thanks to the outstanding attention and guidance he receives from the instructors. Watching the lessons is an absolute pleasure, as they are not only well-structured in teaching the discipline of Jiu-Jitsu but also enriched with valuable wisdom shared by the instructors. It’s a fantastic sport for children to learn, and I highly recommend it.

I’ve been training for 3 years and recently moved to Gracie Barra Arnold in September. The training atmosphere is incredibly friendly, inclusive and supportive. The Professors coach to a very high standard. They pay a great amount of attention to detail, are approachable and show a genuine passion for the sport.

My daughter loves being part of GB Arnold. The coaches are the key - they are professional alongside being very supportive, patient and accessible. Our experience is a well organised club with great communication and lots of extra opportunities such as women only and self defence classes.

I have been training jujitsu for over 12 Years. Due to change of circumstances moving here has been a breeze. The coaching staff have been very welcoming and inclusive and showed some great techniques Whole place is clean and tidy well maintained with a bunch of like-minded people that train hard but take care of each other at the same time. It’s a pleasure training at the here.

Fantastic school! All the professors, coaches and staff are welcoming and friendly and they really look after the little ones. My 4yo son has only been going here for almost a year now and he absolutely loves it! The classes are really well thought out for the age group too!
