Alex and Hifen are amazing coaches. You will feel seen, valued and accepted in this space. Everyone looks after each other on the mat. I had a long pause from Bjj and after coming to fortress I felt like i never had left. Amazing community, I recommend it ❤️🙌🏽

The coaches do a great job of catering to everyone, regardless of ability. The facilities are clean & well maintained. Timetable is varied to suite any work pattern and, a good mix of gi and no.gi classes.

Alex and Hifen are building something special here. There's a great balance between competitor and hobbyist and a genuine community in the club. A friendly and welcoming place, and a chance for a decent scrap too.

A wonderful club with amazing coaches who deliver the best training to their students. They mentor them through every aspect and their passion for the sport shines through. The location is great and the space is clean and very well maintained. Thank you for all you do to support my son in competitions. He couldn’t do it without your guidance and support.

Took my son for a 1-1 intro lesson this week and it was fantastic. Hifen made him feel really welcome throughout the session. The teaching and facilities are great - and we stayed on and watched the class afterwards. Can tell it’s a great environment and we’re looking forward to going back next week.

Visited for the first time to try the women's self defence Jujitsu session with Liz. I found the environment of the gym friendly & the format is good as the mat area is separate from main gym. The session was informative & fun. Liz is warm, friendly, skilled & experienced. She was adept at managing the various ability levels in the session, to provide us with the fundamentals as well as what the progression of the practical looks like. As a beginner I felt the session was easy to follow & paced to allow for the practice time. I would highly recommend other women to try it out.

You can’t fault Hifen and Alex as coaches and Genuine nice guys. The atmosphere of the gym is great and that’s created by them and the great team of guys and gals we have. I’ve been welcomed to the team recently as a middle aged inflexible overweight bloke and I’ll never look back. If your looking for a new challenge and journey I wouldn’t look any further than Jiu jitsu and this gym 👍👌

Fortress jiu-jitsu is a fantastic club. Took my kids a couple of months ago for a free session with Alex. They both got on really well him. His patience with the children is amazing. Signed them up to start full time. Alex and also the other coach Hifen are fantastic with kids. After watching the kids for for a month, it made me want to start myself. At the ripe old age of 41. The club itself also has a great feel about it. With very good facilities. Would highly recommend

Alex and Hifen are both top coaches with a great attention to detail when training but at the same time create a very friendly and homely atmosphere at the gym. The gym itself is a great space with all the facilities you need and more!
