Great experience! Was my first time ever attending any class like this and it did not disappoint. Coach Alex was very knowledgeable about his craft and an excellent teacher. I would highly recommend. I will definitely be going back!

I took my first class in several years at Xequemate with Allan and had an incredible time. He is a great coach and even though I'm an out of shape beginner, I felt like I belonged. I look forward to coming again, thank you for being so kind, patient, and humorous!

Definitely a great place. Having never trained any type of martial arts in my life, they were very accepting and willing to work with me and are very patient. Every class has been great, amazing environment to be in. Everyone is friendly. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to learn.

Allan is a phenomenal instructor with plenty of patience and experience. His classes are challenging and extremely in depth. Dean is another patient and knowledgeable instructor who gives thorough instruction. All of the students that I’ve experienced are respectful and practice restraint. Excellent dojo, instructors and students are very welcoming. I came to Jacksonville for 3 week due to work and XEQUEMATE BJJ host me like family. Dojo is very clean , spacious and good variety of techniques and expertise. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

I checked out a few places before deciding to start my BJJ journey here. A decision I don't regret! It's a great environment to work and learn in. An emphasis on technique makes for a safe environment in which to learn a combat sport. The vibe in the kids classes is next level too. Come and roll with me.

Wow best thing I have done for my family and my self. My kids are happy I’m happy. Safe place for me and my kids. Alex is wonderful and so is coach Sid. The female instructors are so helpful with me just learning. So happy to I have found them. They are amazing with the kids and they all have amazing backgrounds working with kids with special needs

I am in the Navy, and I visited here a week ago while on temporary duty. The coaches were welcoming and the class was great. We trained in some self-defense BJJ techniques for an hour. Then the class did some free rolling. I rolled for 30 minutes. Had some tough rolls, and the attitudes of everyone there were fantastic. Highly recommended!

The facility is nice and spacious. Clean mats and wonderful aesthetics. The coaches of this academy really strive to make it a safe, comfortable place for training and less on the toxicity. I gladly transferred from my previous gym to Xequemate.

If you want a place to learn Jiu-Jitsu and practice in a fun and safe environment, this is the place to go. Very methodical and patient coaches who teach at your pace, and are experienced at training all levels from beginners to black belts. Glad I signed up!

I’ve been to other gyms in NY, NJ, and scoped out a bunch of gyms here in Jacksonville. I signed up on day one after checking out other places and telling other gyms let me sleep on it. That means a lot. To sign up day one. Culture here is great. People are great. Safety is number one. I would be happy at another gym but this place is special. Because I’ve learned more here than at other places. I’m more than happy here. Bonus: “growth mindset” is stressed here rather than ego driven mindset.

This gym has great mats, excellent instruction and a friendly/clean environment to learn Ju Jitsu. The training partners are very good to work with and after training they turn on music so you can spar with your classmates or you can skip sparring with no pressure.

100% Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Wonderful instruction and very technical. Everyone was very cool and accommodating when we visited the school. Highly recommended! Ranard Brown-Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt.
