Best Karate in the area, they go above and beyond what all others do. Kids cannot get enough, learning a lot, enjoying each lesson.

Warhorse has been excellent for my 2 boys 8 and 7. The variety of exercises with karate and jiu jitsu, and the different great has helped my boys stay interested in classes for the entire year. They are constantly talking about what they are learning at practicing at home, which has been very fun for the whole family. I also appreciate how they look up to their sensei as an example of they are to behave in life.

I love warhorse and the lessons it teaches my boys both in the dojo and out. My boys have become more aware, respectful, and tolerant of others as they practice their skills with their peers and practice the warhorse character training. They also respect and admire their sensei, Mr. Tong. He has shown them with his actions how to show respect to others and yourself. I am grateful they have an adult they can look up to in our local community, outside of school and church. Another plus is the reward system. Earning bent stripes helps keep my boys engaged in between new belts! Highly recommend!

I am very impressed that character skills are taught and are considered just as important as the karate/ Jiu Jitsu. I also appreciate how organized everything is and how well the instructor's communicate.

My son has just started his first month and we love it! I have seen a drastic change in my son’s confidence and behaviors at home. He is always treated with respect and has learned so much in his short few weeks here! I highly recommend bringing your kiddos here!

I signed my son up for Warhorse Karate • Jiu Jitsu to see if it was a sport that he liked. My son still talks about his first meeting with Master Tong where it was explained to him that earning a black belt takes a lot of time and hard work and is similar to climbing a mountain. It was explained to my son that there may be times where he stumbles backwards, but as long as he continues to dedicate himself and is self disciplined, he will earn each belt and work towards a black belt. Warhorse has been great in helping my son overcome challenges, to be proud of his accomplishments and to see how the lessons Master Tong teaches in class apply to everyday life. I can’t recommend Warhorse enough!

It's been over a year since my daughter joined Warhorse and in that time her confidence, discipline, respect, and self-awareness have significantly increased. Mr. Tong holds his students accountable and provides a safe and fun atmosphere for learning.

Mr. Tong teaches the kids just as much outside the classroom as he does inside. My son is extremely competitive and very emotional, good and bad. He is learning to control those emotions in the heat of the moment. Thank you.

Our oldest daughter has been going to Warhorse for 2 years and our youngest daughter started in January. They both love going to karate every day because it is fun and engaging. Mr. Tong knows his kids and pushes them to be their best everyday! Karate has helped my oldest with her behavior, effort, and attention. My youngest has become more confident in herself and says I can instead of I can't. Warhorse is an amazing karate school for kids that want to learn a new skill and grow as a person!

Mr. Tong is an excellent sensei who keeps the kids engaged, teaches excellent values, and shares funny stories and info. I've seen so much growth in my son since he started at Warhorse. His confidence and interest in physical activity has sky rocketed!

Karate was never something we really thought about. About a year ago we stopped by the Warhorse booth at the Bloomsday packet pick up and my son won a weeks worth of karate classes on a wheel spin. We thought we'd try it out and boy are we happy we did! My son loves it so much and has learned a ton in a year. Mr. Tong not only teaches them the moves, but also to be humble.

Such a great program and instructors! It's been amazing to see my kids progress in self discipline, focus, and confidence since joining. He works hard in class and at home to earn his new belts and train for tournaments. Two and a half years going strong with Warhorse and we love it!!

This class has helped my son with focus and being held accountable for himself and his success and/or failure. I love the life lessons that are incorporated into the instructions as well as my son enjoys the fun activities. My kiddo loves the instructors and I have had good communication with the instructors.

After attending a birthday party for his older cousin, my son came home and decidedly ask us if he could join the Dojo. Having no experience of Karate/Jujitsu, we were not sure what to expect from a martial arts program. We agreed to let him try and much to his disappointment we leaned he wasn't old enough for the minimum age. Oh well, let's see if he's still interested in 6 months. 6 months went by and he asked almost daily; "Am I old enough yet?" His next birthday party was at the Valley Warhorse Dojo and he joined the ranks. Upon joining, our son had low self esteem, struggled to make friends and had difficulty with his academics. We have since learned a lot about his neurodiversity and reflecting on the last few years we can clearly see the part Warhorse has playing in his development. His focus is clearer, his physical fitness is outstanding and his confidence to tackle almost anything is immeasurable. While it could be argued that some of these attributes could be partly due to maturity, our parenting or his schooling, we can credit the Warhorse program to contributing significantly or in part to his development. It gave him something to strive for when other aspects were causing stress. It has become his happy place. ...and that's to say nothing yet about his respect for his instructors and fellow students. He has made lifelong friends, some of which have been with him since white belt days. You hear the question; How long does it take the average student to earn a black belt? Answer; the average student doesn't make it to black belt. Since joining Warhorse there is nothing average about our son. He strives hard in everything he does. He doesn't want to be average and I've no doubt that one day, he'll earn that coveted belt. I've been so pleasantly surprised by the value of the program, it makes me wish I had tried martial arts when I was his age. Thank you Mr Tong and Warhorse Karate Jujitsu 🙏

Warhorse karate and jiu jitsu has had such a positive outlook on our kiddos life. He's been going strong for 2 years and loves it. The intructoes and sensais are absolutely amazing and very good with children of all ages. This has helped our kiddos self esteem and definitely helps with the home life.

Great teachers! Great program! Mr. Grey and Mr. Tong are very knowledgeable instructors and follow an authentic Karate & Gracie Ju Jitsu program that all ages can enjoy. They run a morally sound discipline with real world skills that anyone can benefit from. I highly recommend Warhorse to anyone wanting to get in shape, learn and grow as a martial artist or an everyday person.

Our family has nothing but good things to say about Warhorse. Very responsive to our questions, excellent with the kids. My son can have a hard time with focus and listening so I was concerned about signing him up but they promised me it would be fine and they were right. They are able to keep his focus and he listens to them. Quality instructors that know what they are doing. My son loves the class and is always learning new things.

My children were part of the Warhorse dojo while we were stationed in Washington. It's been 5 years and they still talk about it. The instructors were patient and skilled, and they all had great personalities. It was awesome seeing my kids get really into it.

They don't teach kids how to fight, they teach kids discipline and self-defense. My son loves taking lessons here. Firm instruction but in a positive environment. Frequent belt promotions give kids a sense of accomplishment and pride but they don't let anyone slide through the program. Students are held accountable and as they advance, the accountability ramps up.

Started out wonderful with my 7 year old child. Learning nunchucks, Bo staff, block set, strike set, advancing belts….until it wasn’t. My child was in warhorse karate for 4+ years and we left when he was an advanced belt just below black belt. They were keeping my child from advancing due to our year being up and they wanted us to sign for another year when it wasn’t needed. They kept mixing belt levels in with my child’s class and my child just got so bored doing the same old sets! And unless you’re one of Mr. Tongs favorites (by signing up for all of the extra classes and camps) he won’t even really acknowledge you. It’s gross really how everyone was/is vying for his attention so bad. And while we were there they changed uniforms twice, to try and get people to buy the newest and latest outfit. I would definitely not recommend this karate school.

The lack of discipline is ridiculous they bring the kids to the park to run wild big kids being reckless with the baby swing when there are two available big kids swings also one of their girls started bullying my 5 yr old daughter and made her cry the trainer is obviously unorganized as well telling the kids to wait at the park and be good while he runs to the car the lack of discipline between both the coach and kids is sad it diminishes so much of the meaning of martial arts a huge part of it is discipline and when neither the coach nor students have it you are lacking a huge aspect of the arts

Schedule is restricted and 1 year contracts only. I was told I could cancel anytime and I was just informed that's not true. So I am stuck with payments until it expires. The equipment is expensive and so are the belts. My kid is not interested as much as he use to be and asked if he could take a break to do something else. But won't be coming back.

It's unfortunate that this karate place is set up on one year contracts only. Anyone that doesn't make a good 40000 a year and up won't be able to afford this place.😑
