From the moment I stepped into the gym I felt welcomed! Marcello is an amazing instructor that takes the time to instruct all of us in a respectful manner. Everyone is here to learn and grow together, which creates a positive and motivating environment regardless of your skill level. From my experience I can only say great things and recommend Viver to anyone who is looking to get into jujitsu! Keep up the great work Marcello!
Posted 1 year agoViver is my home gym. 'Home' being the important part. I've been a part of this gym since its inception, and I've worked with Marcelo, the head instructor, even longer. What you'll get here is quality jiu jitsu instruction, in a clean/well maintained facility, with a group of people who will support you in your journey. That combination is hard to find, so when you find it, you hold onto it. Come be a part of this environment and it will change your life for the better. You won't regret it.
Posted 11 months agoMy first review was about kickboxing. This review is about bjj. I have nothing but praise for the environment that Coach Marcelo and his family have created. I have always felt safe and respected when I step on the mat. I am thankful for Coach and my training partners for teaching me a life skill that I need especially for my line of work (being a female makeup artist showing up to new places and working with people I have never met). My 5 year old is also takes classes here and he absolutely loves his coaches. I can not imagine going to another academy.
Posted 1 year agoWe have known Marcelo and Viver MMA for over a year. It was easy to notice how stubborn he can be but we didn’t want to be biased based on culture background. We noticed many times how they teach our teenagers disrespect and thought it was part of the fighting spirit but we missed on this and regret it big time, finally decided to leave this place that destroys young people brains. Your teenager can get muscles built here but loose family respect and values. Be careful.
Posted 1 year agoI can't say enough about this place. Viver is run by the most amazing family (shout out to Kelly), and the coaching from Marcelo (and now Dana) is top-notch. This is the perfect place for all levels looking to train in BJJ, Kickboxing, or MMA. The kids' BJJ and Kickboxing classes are great and my kid loves being there (especially loves the kids' coaches Felicia, Lalia & Eva). Viver is also the cleanest academy/gym you'll set foot in, and if you know anything about grappling/wrestling spaces, this is a big deal. I have learned a great deal in a short period because not only do the coaches give me excellent 1:1 instruction, but this place has some of the best training partners. I would give it six stars if I could.
