Excellent atmosphere, inclusive and supportive teachers!
Fantastic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The coaches are excellent, patient and encouraging, and make everyone feel welcome regardless of experience. The kids’ classes are especially great. The instructors do a fantastic job of keeping the kids engaged while teaching them discipline, respect, confidence and practical skills in a fun and supportive environment. The instructor-to-student ratio is excellent, meaning the kids get plenty of individual attention, guidance and support as they learn and improve. It’s great to see a club that genuinely cares about helping kids develop both on and off the mats. Highly recommend Vanguard Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to any parents looking to get their kids involved in BJJ!

Such a great place with an awesome atmosphere and fantastic people! The kids absolutely love their classes, and it’s so lovely to see them having fun while learning new skills, building confidence and burning off all that endless energy! And it’s not just for the little ones the adults’ classes are great too! There’s something for everyone, whether you’re a beginner or just looking to give something new a go. Vanguard JJ is truly amazing place. The coach and everyone on the team are very kind and always help and train with me patiently. I have never experienced such a great atmosphere at any other gym. I really love being there.
Vanguard Jiujitsu Mandurah is amazing. Everyone is friendly, supportive, and encouraging, and there’s a real team atmosphere on and off the mats. Training here feels safe, fun, and motivating. I always leave class feeling like I’ve learned something new and been pushed in the best way. My daughter has only been once so far, but I’m already so impressed. The coaches are incredible, patient, encouraging, and so skilled at working with kids. They manage to create such a positive atmosphere where the kids feel confident and independent while still having so much fun. My little one couldn’t wait to get home and start practicing what she’d learned! Highly recommend for anyone looking to build confidence, discipline, and a real love of movement in their child.
My son started at Van Guard BJJ when he turned 4 years old. He has been attending classes for over 12 months now & he absolutely loves it! Leo is incredible with the children & my son has benefited incredibly from Leo’s coaching. A shout out to Vanessa also for making my son feel comfortable for his first few classes. I highly suggest Van Guard for kids. It helps to teach them discipline, focus & control. 10 STARS from us!
