The best in the area for kids and adults. The kids program is top notch giving your children confidence and enabling their physical, mental and psychological growth both on the mat and off. My family and I were vacationing at Navarre Beach for the week. I train regularly and love stopping in and training at jiujitsu academy's while on vacation . My 7 yr old daughter did the kids class and I did the advanced Gi class that evening and No Gi class the following day. Jackie greeted us and took care of the waiver and was very friendly. The coaches were very friendly and all of the kids in the class were very inviting and friendly as well. Mat Cleanliness was very important which is always a good thing to see at a jiujitsu academy. My experience with Valor jiujitsu as an adult drop in was wonderful. Professor Tim and coach Tayden both showed great technique and all of the students in class made sure to introduce themselves and were all very nice. They made sure to really make you feel like part of the regular student body there. Overall, if you are in the area I would recommend stopping by to see them. They have a great program for adults and kids.

A great place for learning . Access to a multitude of well rounded and knowledgeable coaches. This school has classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu , Wrestling, Judo , and striking . My personal favorite is that the academy has ample opportunities to practice no gi bjj compared to other schools who emphasize most all gi classes . The place is clean and sanitary. No bad apples here ! I’ve trained at Valor for almost a year now . Five years at other places. I can honestly say I’ve trained at places that had bad apples…. That doesn’t happen here. Family oriented, kid friendly, safe place with world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training.

My 2 sons and husband just started and I am absolutely EXCITED !!! I'm already impressed with the respect that is demanded ! Mr. Tim is direct and is teaching all of his students very important life lessons ! To say I'm happy we found Valor is an understatement and I cannot wait to continue this journey with them ! Mr.Tim is teaching his students respect and that is such an important lesson to be taught. He called my son out today in the class, he did NOT humiliate him. He redirected him, as he should. I want my boys to have respect and to earn and in today's world that is much needed. I just met Mr.Tim and I can feel how much he genuinely cares about his students and wants the best and expects the best, to learn their self worth and realize their potential!

My daughter started BJJ classes 1.5 years ago and my husband and I have since joined about 8 months ago. We absolutely love it! The lineage and skill of the owners and coaches shows in their instruction. They're also wonderful people who truly value the art and their students. Expectations are high and the classes are demanding; I expect no less from a true martial arts class. My daughter often struggles with attention and the instructors are firm and fair in redirection. Every achievement is earned through hard work. As a family, we've all learned so much and grown attached to our Valor family. Thank you, team Valor!

My son started at Valor the end of 2022. I was excited for my son ( he is 10) to start. He has never been super aggressive being an only child his whole life. When he started the gym he was so nervous! But Professor Tim and his wife Jackie were so accommodating and accepting. My son had a Medical issue and was unable to come for almost two months. When he was cleared to come back we were welcomed with open arms. Since then my son has improved so much not only in BJJ but also in school and his attitude. He has more confidence and has made friends here. The expectations are high at this gym and I’m Proud to be a parent of a kid that goes to Valor. My son has improved his manners and his listening skills, too. I can see the joy that being apart of this bjj family brings him. We love this gym, the family dynamic and what they stand for.

Both my kids (8 and 5 year old), and I are students at Valor BJJ. Fantastic gym. Professor Tim and the other coaches are all professional and effective teachers. With a big emphasis on respect, customs and courtesy, the instructors ensure that students develop their attitude and sportsmanship in a positive way in addition to the hard skills of BJJ. I especially like that the coaches ensure the students show respect with “yes sir, no sir” looking instructors in the eyes when spoken to and making sure everyone gives their best effort. Promotions are only given when properly earned and that is a refreshing change in the participation trophy age.

I’ve been training at Valor for a little over two years now, and cannot say enough good things about Professor Tim and his wonderful family, Professor Corey, and all the other great people that attend. It truly is a family here. Traveling because of my job and experiencing other BJJ academies has made me appreciate the instruction methods and manner in which classes are conducted at Valor. Little things like ensuring that an upper belt is always paired with a lower belt and performing each drill five times on each side make this academy stand out above the rest. During the COVID shut down, the coaching team and staff from Valor provided online instruction and videos to help us all maintain proficiencies and continue learning. Fair pricing and thorough cleanliness add to the appeal of this place, including its convenient location. I highly recommend Valor Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for anyone wanting to start or continue learning this martial art and combat sport. On top of the excellent workout, it truly helps calm the body and soul, reducing anxiety and stress like in no other way.

Valor BJJ is one of the best BJJ academies that you can find in the area. The lineage is solid and the instruction is top notch. Family oriented and friendly and caters to your goals as far as self defense, hobby, or competition Jiu Jitsu. The head coach and other coaches are great and very knowledgeable. The school is friendly and family orientate. I haven't been there very long but at 56 you can't ask for a better workout with a staff and students helping you at every step. I wasn't sure until I wasn't sure it was for me until I went and watched a class.

My daughter has been coming to Valor for over a year now and in that time, I've seen her grow into a strong, confident, and wonderful young lady. I'm so grateful that we have this in our community. My experience with this school has been amazing. Professor Thurman is not only a master at his craft, he is very humble. I have been a member of the Valor family for close to 6 months now and I know that I made the right decision to join. The school is very family oriented with fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters attending Valor or even in the same class. After being here I have learned that the family that rolls together stays together. Followed by that is not the family to mess with. Completely humiliated my 8 year old in front of a large class (plus all the parents). He has ADHD and has a hard time focusing- when Tim realized that he basically had a target on his back. He stopped class- asked my son if he knew how to do whatever it was they were doing… my son nodded yes, embarrassed everyone was watching, then he goes okay do it for the class. My son attempted the move even though he really didn’t know it and he and the other instructors proceeded to let him struggle while snickering to themselves. The whole room was watching- it was actually kind of heartbreaking. I understand trying to prove a point, but humiliation is not the way to go. Maybe pull students to the side if they need extra help. We didn’t return after that night. This was a few years back but I just thought of it and the way they made my son feel.
