Very good for training self defence. Also very good teachers and all the people are friendly. The teachers are very friendly and welcoming.
Great atmosphere. Individual approach towards students depending on their skill set. Perfect for all age groups, kids , adults, and seniors! Kids love training with Scott!
This is honestly the best gym I’ve ever been too, It’s amazing for both adults and kids, and the atmosphere is super welcoming. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to help. All the people there arw friendly. Highly recommend! :)
Great atmosphere whether it is your first time or hundredth time in a martial arts gym, you will be welcomed warmly & treated with respect. Very knowledgable coach with easy to follow method of teaching & great core team with all members happy to help anyone who steps onto the mats. Various abilities & levels throughout the gym from hobbyist all the way to high level competitors. Lots of classes throughout the week including BJJ, No Gi grappling, MMA, strength & conditioning fitness & open mat workshops.
Been training at UTC for the last few years Scot is an amazing coach and the gym is the best around for BJJ and MMA
I'd trained at other places before, but it wasn't until I started at UTC that I learned what truly great coaching is. Scot is inspirational and adapts techniques to suit different body types, learning styles and fitness levels. He and the other coaches are always developing and perfecting techniques. Scot teaches at Globetrotter camps each year and brings back new techniques each year. The gym has a friendly atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
Cracking gym .great coach .highly recommend
Posted 1 year agoMy son started training in July and was accepted by the whole team straight away which was lovely- he was so worried about leaving his old training team and his friends. He has made lots of new friends at UTC that are all passionate and enjoy training with Scott (&Bev) multiple times a week, Scott is brilliant with the kids, very knowledgeable, my son has improved his BJJ skills massively since starting and is so much more confident in his abilities :) :)
Posted 2 years agoDefinitely the best around and a really great place for kids to learn BJJ. Scot and his team are very knowledgeable and amazingly patient with the children, the confidence he has instilled in my child is great to see. They are always friendly welcoming and take great care of the students. You couldn’t wish for a better gym. From the first week at UTC we’ve been made to feel like we are a part of the team. If you thinking of enrolling your child anywhere make sure it’s here you won’t regret it.
Posted 2 years agoBest place to train with the fantastic instructors and great team spirit
Posted 3 years agoAs a member of the BJJ GlobetrottersI just spent a few weeks matsurfing at UTC and must say that I enyoyed my stay a lot!! Apart from the extraordinarily high level jiu jitsu it is especially the warm, familiar atmosphere which makes this gym indeed unique and probably the best place to learn martial arts. I would always like to train at UTC again. Oss!
