Shoutout to Coach Tamez at UFC Gym! His boxing and conditioning class was a total game changer for me—especially after I hit 30 and started struggling with weight loss. My metabolism had noticeably slowed, and lifting weights alone just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I’ve always hated traditional cardio (especially running), but this class felt like cardio with a purpose. Coach Tamez incorporates everything from resistance-band runs in all directions, kettlebell carries up stairs and across long stretches, to sled pushes/pulls, and intense bag work. Don't want to spoil the rest for you. It’s the kind of workout that pushes you past your comfort zone and leaves you drenched in sweat—in the best way. Even when you feel like you’ve got nothing left in the tank, Coach Tamez knows how to fire you up and keep you going. He has this way of snapping you back into the zone right when you're ready to quit. Suddenly, you forget your soreness and excuses, and just keep moving. If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you! Posted 1 year agoAfter 3 months I decided to stay 1. Super clean gym (tried a few gyms around the area and for sure nothing compared to ufc) pay for what you get for sure 2. Staff pretty cool 3. Equipment is good I am not a super body builder so does it job. 4. Never packed compared to other gyms.
Posted 1 year agoI came in to UFC McAllen for a business trip looking for a place to lift. Holy cow this place has everything you need to stay on track even when you’re on the road. SUPER CLEAN facility, friendly staff, great athletic environment. If I lived here this is the place I would call my Gym Home. I now have my spot when I come to McAllen. If I could give more stars I would, highly recommend.

I love my gym! We train as a family 6 days a week! Great coaches, fun classes, friendly staff, & the amenities are only getting better! My kids drink lots of fresh water & we can use wifi, now!
If you are thinking of getting a gym membership, UFC Gym is the place to do it. The staff is friendly, the people do not judge, the equipment feels new and kept clean, and the ambiance is excellent. They have classes for different practices of martial arts such as boxing, muay thai, and BJJ. I have been a member here for over 5 years and it has been great since. Thank you Julio,Tamez, Andrew, Coral, Adrian, Ian, all of the people that keep this place awesome. Great job everyone
Great place, accommodating staff, have all the necessary equipment and more.
A clean gym with a motivating atmosphere. The members are respectful of each other and there is always plenty of equipment available. There are peak times as with any gym but it’s a little more manageable here depending on the day of the week. There is always somebody cleaning down every crevice of this facility aside from having plenty of cleaning supplies available for members to wipe down. The staff is great and have been really nice each time I’ve checked in. Definitely recommend this gym to anybody not sure of where to call home.
It is a very clean gym. Coaches are devoted and kind. Subtle/calm vibe overall.
Absolutely Love it here! The atmosphere, people, equipment... This is the #1 spot for achieving your goals. I'm down from 258lbs to 200lbs even. 58lbs in just over 90 days. It's all about how bad you want it!
This gym is awesome, the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. The staff is professional, friendly, and treat you like family. The coaches are very knowledgeable in what they do.the cleaning staff is awesome. The equipment is awesome and there’s so many different workouts to choose from. Worth every penny.
They helped me go from 284lbs to get down to 220 lbs of pure man. It’s clean and not packed like the other gyms.

Ufc gym is an awesome gym! Not like any other gym I have been before. I really like the environment & layout of the gym. It’s very clean. The front desk staff are very welcoming. There are a variety of classes provided. I had the opportunity to take a CrossFit class. The coach was very motivating. There is something for every level of fitness & the coaches there are to help you through class.
Love UFC gym!! There’s plenty of machines and it’s very clean. I appreciate that. There’s so many classes to choose from and the gym goers are super friendly. Everyone is there just to workout! Again, love it!!
UFC is a great gym to get a workout in! The staff is very nice and attentive. All coaches at this gym are very knowledgeable when it comes to teaching physical fitness. I always get a great workout when I train at this facility. I highly recommend this gym! 💪🏽
I am a coach and former athlete who has been around gyms and exercise facilities for years. McAllen should be proud to have a facility such as this one! The weight areas are always clean and tidy, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and the amenities available are beyond what anyone would expect. I highly recommend this gym!
Been here for about 3 months I’m extremely happy with my sons classes and coaches . Although for the price we pay they should really invest in a sauna .
Never super crowded, clean, plenty of weights for everyone, great gym
Excellent service by caring employees and coaches... the gym is very modern and clean. They have a plan with contract and no contract. The difference is only $10 a month between the two. They have many classes to chose from and yes they’re included in your membership cost. The common complaint on their reviews is the contract. The people complaining are doing so because they entered into the contracted rate to save a few bucks and now they want to go back on their commitment. People if you’re not serious about your health or just an uncommitted person, don’t sign a contract. Get the no contract rate until you know for sure. It’s that simple. One last thing, I don’t work for the gym but I do appreciate that for less than half the cost of a dojo membership, I have access to a multitude of classes, a state of the art gym, caring coaches/ instructors and more benefits than you can list. Check it out for yourself and try a class.
I love this place! Not too crowded, plenty of room to workout, and awesome staff. They have classes for different workouts. Go by and give it a try. It wont hurt.
Has what i need, friendly staff, Coaches that know their stuff with fight experience and push you, not much weight machines if thats only what your looking for. Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, Kickboxing, Bjj, Mma, Spar class, for $70mon. worth it.

Excellent customer service. The staff is very attentive and helpful. They explained everything we would need to attend classes and get in a great workout.
I recommend this if it’s in your area, if not, you’re better off elsewhere :-)
Water fountain hasn’t worked for over a year. Dana White your UFC gym employees are slackin here at the McAllen location.
I walked away from the area that I was working out for 1-2 minutes (to help spot a friend) and I was approached by Adrian. He asked my friend and I in an aggressive way if we were done with our *!##}# weights. We replied if he needed them and he asked us to put them away. Mind you we weren’t done and we’re just helping out a fellow gym bud. I’ve been gyming for years and I don’t need someone to teach me especially in this aggressive way. I hope that I don’t have bad experiences here, what a shame. Such a nice gym and one person just ruined my experience.
Went back recently and they still don't have flat bill caps! You can make more money with us ufc fans in the rgv.
They don’t work with you, i got charged 200 dollars just to cancel my membership even though it was set up with NO CONTRACT.
Horrible cancellation policy, it billed me again for this month because supposedly it takes 39 days to cancel and plus $160 for the membership I had already paid this is insane. Horrible customer service will never come back.
Overpriced gym, for less you can get more at other places. Sales person where giving non existent introductory offers, they do not give you an agreement when you enroll, they did not give me my tag to enter the gym. They promised to open the gym in mid April and they opened in late May. When you cancel the membership you don't sign anything, there is no seriousness in this place. My experience was bad, but I think that they had good classes, but it is not worth 70 dollars.
