Mastery Warwick has changed my daughter's life, and OURS! She is more confident than ever. Mr. Martinez is patient and kind, and is actively working with daughter on behavior, focusing, and life skills. It's not just about the martial arts, it's about learning a way of life that will stick with them until their adults. We are also building relationships with families who share the same outlook, and you know what they say, it takes a village. We've only been at Mastery for a year, and the results are remarkable. Huge thank you to all the instructors, and staff who work so hard to make our children leaders.
My children's birthday party was here and every single guest had an amazing time. Mr. Martinez impressed everyone with his ability to engage kids of all ages.
My child has been attending classes for over a year and the growth that I’ve seen in her since she started has been exponential. Her confidence and self esteem have increased. The positivity and the “Yes I can” attitude have carried over into all areas of our lives and our family. Mr. Martinez fosters such an encouraging and disciplined environment, he is so patient with the kids and so passionate in martial arts, and those qualities pass down to all of his students as well. I highly recommend Mastery Warwick for anyone interested in martial arts.
Fast paced, friendly, energetic! Classes take about an hour and is worth burning all the calories
Posted 1 year agoHad a great workout and teachers were very motivational. Totally recommend!!
Posted 1 year agoMy daughter Adalynn is currently in her 2nd year at Mastery. Since day one I noticed a change in Adalynn. We have had our ups and downs during this journey but isn't that what life is? Adalynn just received her high green belt and is looking forward to continuing her journey here at Mastery. Thank You Mr. Martinez for everything!
Awesome expierence. Great work out and very friendly staff. Highly recommend this place for anyone.
Posted 1 year agoLove Mastery Martial Arts. Have my whole family enrolled and it is amazing. Best place for training any age to learn self defense in standing and the ground. This place is like a family once you join and they really care about you learning and being able to defend yourself in all situations.
Posted 1 year agoI came here for a birthday party and we instantly fell in love. My little girl loves it here and loves Mr. Martinez and his instructors. They teach great skills every little boy and girl should know. They are also very friendly with all the parents and kids. I’m so glad I found this place!
We absolutely love the Mastery program! Mr Martinez and the Warwick staff are amazing. It's been so so good for my daughter and she's come such a long way. The life skills she's learning and the confidence she's gaining are well worth it. You can see a clear difference from when we started to now! Just today she told me she's going to get her black belt and get all the way to 10! For a normally shy kid that's huge motivation!
Mastery Martial Arts transformed my daughter’s Camila Rodriguez perspective and boosted her confidence.
My Daughter has learned so much at this place. All the teachers are amazing!!!
Excellent, very clear directions, great teacher manner, great experience for my six year old granddaughter. Thank you Mr. Martinez!
Great, fun experience for my kids! Everyone is friendly, personable and amazing with children. Every class teaches and reviews skills but more importantly, talks about discipline and values.
Excellent school to send your kids to learn about focus, discipline, and manners.
We have had an incredibly positive experience at Mastery Martial Arts in Warwick. Our child has grown in confidence and responsibility and we are so thrilled with his enduring enthusiasm and commitment. While much of it comes from his effort, I cannot overstate how wonderful the Mastery program is, keeping students engaged, motivated and feeling like they are part of a fun, caring community.
The program provides a comprehensive education for my children, encompassing not only karate instruction but also the development of well-rounded individuals.
My son really enjoys his classes at Mastery Martial Arts in Warwick. His confidence, focus and listening skills have greatly improved. The instructors are amazing. They provide an organized, fast paced and fun environment where students thrive.
Whether in the class, or out in the world, the Mastery instructors at Warwick truly value the success of their students. My boys have made big strides in practicing important lifeskills since joining Mastery two years ago.
Our son has been going for over a year now and it’s the best thing we could have done for his mental, physical, and emotional development. He’s excelling due to the great leadership of this location and we are so happy with all the instructors!!
Love Mastery Warwick!!
Mr. O at the Warwick location was great! We took our daughter for a trial class and signed up on the spot. He was so engaging but made sure to reiterate the goals they were working on. We’re excited to see how she grows in this class
Mastery Martial Arts is a great place to bring the kids! Anthony is a true professional and excellent mentor who helps his students build foundational skills through excellent leadership!
Since my son Austin started back in March, his confidence has improved. He is getting stronger physically, mentally, emotionally and socially! I can not begin to thank the staff at Mastery - Warwick for everything they have done!!!!
Mastery came in to our school and had a great presentation for our students! The students were engaged throughout the assembly and kept talking about it afterwards. Other teachers mentioned how attentive the students were during and after. Would highly recommend to others! Thank you so much for coming to our school.
Discovered this place through an event. Went with my 4 year old who had a great time with Mr. Martinez at her introductory lesson. All the instructors there were very welcoming and incredibly friendly.
My grandson who was having some difficulties at school joined this program. I can't say enough about how great the staff is there, his confidence has grown and he loves it there.
Our experience was great! My son will start his Martial Arts journey. He will learn a lot and will become stronger mentally and physically. The trainers work well with kids and help build confidence.
Mastery Martial Arts is a great place with great values! Mr. Martinez is so kind and knowledgeable. My son is so excited to be a part of this program.
We have been part of the mastery family for a year and a half now, first starting in little dragons and now in the 7+ beginner ranks. I never could have predicted that attending a birthday party in February 2022 would eventually lead us to where we are today, but I am so glad that it did! My son is diagnosed with ADHD and focusing/listening/sitting still are not his strong suits. We joined mastery in hopes of improving his focus and self-discipline and he truly has grown leaps and bounds. I have a video from his first class where he was spinning around and being silly and we love to watch it now and again as a reminder of how far he has come. Over the last 1.5 years, he has competed in two mastery championships, won 4 medals, and is (slowly) improving his confidence! This is the longest he has ever stayed in an activity and I’m hopeful that he will reach his goal of becoming a black belt some day. All of the instructors have been wonderful but special shout-out to Mr.Martinez for his unwavering patience with my kiddo. It doesn’t go unnoticed!
Aiden had been wanting to do martial arts for awhile and finally had the chance when Mastery did a local after-school program. Since joining Mastery back in March, Aiden's confidence has greatly improved. There are some days at school or at home where he isn't feeling his best but when he is at Mastery, Aiden is engaging, positive, and does his best. He is ALWAYS in a good mood afterwards. It's nice to see Aiden with children who share a common interest and can work as a team. All of the instructors do a great job making everyone feel included and involved. Thanks Mastery
Joining Mastery Martial Arts has been one of the best decision we’ve made. Not only does your child learn challenging skills making them physically stronger, they also become more confident and mentally strong. Highly recommend!
Great place to practice and learn martial arts. The location is conveniently located on a main Street in a plaza with plenty of parking spaces. The instructors are very good, they teach appropiate discipline and also good techniques. Place is clean and have plenty of space for students
Posted 3 years agoOur son has been attending Mastery in Warwick for about 4 months and the change in him is already incredible! His confidence is up, he is able to focus much better, and he is showing more excitement every day. We work on things at home and he's even getting great at cheering on his classmates to do better! Already a different attitude from when we walked in the door! Big credit to Mr. Martinez, Mr. Monaco and the entire team in Warwick!
We are pleasantly pleased with Mastery Martial Arts. We signed our son up for the initial two week course. He was given a private lesson where an instructor, Mr. Martinez, went over initial moves to acclimate him before he went to the full class. We signed our son up for a full year along with the leadership program. The classes are well organized and usually have two instructors to help train students. Every eight weeks the students go over the lessons learned and positive reaffirmations to attain their next level belt. Mr. Martinez keeps the class structured and fun, utilizing movement, music, and challenges. Mastery also offers a leadership program, a 30 minute session for a group of students after the martial arts training. They teach life lessons and skills. My son enjoys the camaraderie among the students and I’ve see a positive outcome in the few months he’s been attending. I highly recommend Mastery Martial Arts.
My partner and I are child psychologists and enrolled our oldest child in Mastery Martial Arts in September. We had been looking for the right martial arts program not only to grow physical skills but to give our child a chance to practice self regulation, confidence, and courage to step outside of their comfort zone. We could not be happier with the experience at Mastery so far. The structure and content of the Mastery classes are truly developmentally informed and use principles of behaviorism to grow skills and build motivation: Each half-hour class is game-based, holding kids' attention while expanding their physical and psychological skill set. In each class, kids have a chance to earn yellow stripes (based on caregivers' reports of how they're progressing with goals at home, such as first-time listening or honesty) and black stripes (based on skills practice in class). Across each multi-week unit, kids practice a distinct set of martial arts moves and social-emotional skills (such as discipline, balance, listening, and self-esteem) before assessing and celebrating what they've learned in a belt test and graduation ceremony. In this way, kids have a chance to celebrate small accomplishments between their belt tests and bigger ones at each graduation ceremony. This builds both motivation and accountability. Throughout, kids practice executive function skills such as inhibitory control (stopping an automatic response and doing something else instead!), focusing and sustaining attention, and listening to and comprehending instructions. These skills are necessary to all kinds of social, academic, and physical tasks, and each week I hear caregivers reporting on how they see them showing up in their kids' behavior at home and at school. In closing, one piece of unsolicited advice for caregivers: Give your child time as they get started. As with any behavior change, it may take weeks or even a couple of months to see improvement; but I encourage you to trust in these instructors--and in your child. As ours got started, my partner and I had to hold ourselves back from jumping in to try to get our child to participate. We even briefly considered pulling them out. Instead, we did our best to trust in these instructors' expertise and in our child's courage, and I'm so glad we did. I doubt we're the only parents who have witnessed our child's bravery, self-esteem, and self regulation blossom since starting martial arts with Mr. Pezzillo and Mr. Martinez. As a parent, this has been such a joy. And perhaps the best part? My kid is excited to put on that uniform and head to class every time.
My son, 8 years old, started Mastery in late September. The difference, I have seen in him in the short time since he's started is honestly amazing. My son lost his father in 2018, he was very young and it was hard for him to understand. I noticed a fear of life grow, one I cant fully explain. 2 years later the world stopped when covid hit. Since covid, getting him interested in school has been our biggest battle. Reading being our biggest struggle academically. School wasn't the only struggle, I noticed he was starting to talk back a little more. He's a great kid but you always want better for them. Walking into mastery I was looking for something that would spark his interest more than a video game... What I got was a lifestyle change. I am watching my son become more understanding of whats important and become more confident. His reading has improved and his willingness to read is hardly a battle these days. Not only does he have an interest to do well at Mastery but an interest to do well at school and be a better person. I am so proud of him and would suggest Mastery to anyone looking to help their child grow.
We weren't sure what to expect when we signed up our boys ages 5 and 3, but the instructors here have been so understanding and patient with our very active boys. My sons look forward to karate every week and they have learned a lot in the short time they have been attending. They have good class times to choose from so if one day doesn't work you can choose a different day. So if you're thinking about it, you have nothing to lose since they give you a trial week to see if it's the right fit for you and your kids!
In March of this year, 2021, we decided we wanted to look into martial arts for our children. I had asked around for any recommendations and MANY parents recommended Mastery Martial Arts. I had reached out and spoke to Stephanie who told me about the programs, all of the schools, and helped set us up with our very first free classes. We started our adventure in the Warwick school with Ms. Hannah Tellier. She is by far such an amazing Leader. Her skills in class are amazing, and you can tell she is passionate about teaching these children. Our 2 children are in little Dragons and leadership and she handles both classes amazingly. We have also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Pezillo and Ms. Rebekah Tellier as well, and they are also so great! The amount of confidence and strength our children have built since starting Mastery is beyond amazing. Our 9 year old went from struggling with believing in herself, to now raising her hand and telling Ms. Tellier how confident and amazing she is. We also just had a birthday party for our son, and when he broke the little wooden board, he broke down in tears of joy and told us he was so proud of himself. It was an amazing moment to experience. Mastery has become part of our family, and I will 100% recommended it, especially our Warwick location, to everyone. Thank you Mastery!!
Although we no longer are active members of the Mastery Community, we will always feel like we have family in some. Ms. Tellier was always amazing with my son. She is full of energy, motivation and really brings classes alive. I wish her the best as she takes over Warwick.
Mastery is awesome! This is the first time we found something my son has loved and looks forward to going back every class! Mrs. Tellier is wonderful! Great leadership, communication, patience, and understanding with the kids. My son has grown so much confidence from classes! If you have been on edge about trying it out, I encourage you to sign up! You and your child won't regret it!
Seven years ago I meant Ms. Tellier! She is a very good instructor, she helps my daughter with anything she thinks she needs corrections for. She is very confident, respectful, honest, and ready to help out with anything. Thank you Ms. Tellier for always being there for my daughter!
Ms Tellier is a great teacher. My family all adored her in north Smithfield. She will be a great asset to the Warwick location.
Mastery exceeds expectations! Awesome leadership and communication. This is a program my child actually loves and looks forward to every week! We are grateful for the opportunity to belong to the Mastery family.
Not only do kids learn martial arts here, they learn life skills. It's refreshing how all of the kids honestly cheer each other on and help each other succeed. Mister Rossi and his team are committed to helping each child increase their potential.
Place is great. My sons instructor Mr. Rossi is great with the kids. My son loves it.
Mr. Rossi is an amazing instructor who truly cares about the kids. This is not an extremely rigid karate program. As a young child, they will learn how to focus, listen and be respectful. These are the pillars to the karate program as well as life. We love Mastery and know our kids will become amazing little humans working through the MMA curriculm.
I have tried to find something my son would enjoy participating in, he tried everything football, baseball, bowling etc.. and he never kept an interest in it. He has been attending mastery martial arts in Warwick for a few months now, he loves it. I can see a change in his behaviors at home and school since he came to mastery. Mr. Rossi is an amazing instructor he gives all his students their own time in class, no child ever gets left out. From his classes to the parents night out, my son is always happy and excited to tell me about everything he’s doing. I’m glad Mastery worked out for my son
Our experience with Mastery started as an afterschool trial program, hoping to keep my son occupied once a week or so doing something active, since he was adamant that he “didn’t like sports.” Right away Matteo took an interest with the program, and he anxiously awaited the Warwick location’s grand opening. Mr Rossi’s patience and passion have had such an impact on Matteo’s desire to not only participate once a week, he wants to be there every day. I do my best to make that happen because I can see the positive changes in him already and look forward to seeing my son grow with Mastery.
Mr. Rossi is such a great teacher! My daughter is learning so much from him. He really takes his time to make each child feel special! We absolutely love the Warwick studio! If you haven't tried a Mastery Class, please do! We have seen a huge change in our daughter's focus, discipline and respect! We are more than pleased! 🙏
Its the best place and respect all the people... friendly...nice...fun place for every one... I love everything about them.. Teaching life skills, one of the best leadership program provided. Respect...responsibility...confidence..and attitude.
I am a martial arts school owner in SC. I travel to RI to learn from the Mastery team. I have had the pleasure to work with Mr. Rossi many times and watch him teach. He teaches an amazing class and is backed by the Mastery system. If you are in the area, check out a class for your child.
The level of knowledge, energy, passion for teaching and commitment from instructors to students is irreplaceable. The program is structured to grow and improve each individuals’ mindset for success. No doubt students practicing at Mastery are mentally and physically stronger to succeed in life outside the martial arts school. Instructors motivate students to communicate in class so they can confidently communicate out of class. I recommend mastery to those who want to practice and use lifeskills to become successful not just to understand what the life skill means.
Mastery is a one of a kind martial arts school. From the role molding of the Chief Instructor to how every class is intentionally laid out and run. There is incredible thought and customer first in mind at Mastery. I've witnessed first hand the transformative power that Mastery Martial Arts has on students and their families. I've interviewed and spoken with dozen of parents about the benefits: increased focus, better grades, less likely to give up, and a Yes I Can spirit. The emotional engagement at Mastery will help your child want to return for every class. Enroll now and change your Life!
Mastery is the best activity out there for making sure your children grow physically mentally emotionally and socially
Incredible motivator, super instructor, a great role model of the Mastery way. Warwick you are going to be amazed as soon as you meet Mr Rossi!!!!
Mastery Martial Arts is a wonderful place for children to learn and grow into future leaders !Please go check it out and tell them Howard sent you, you wont regret it.
My children have been Mastery students for 6+ years. From toddlers to teens, this journey has been amazing for them in every way. Mr. Rossi is an incredible instructor who will help bring out the best in every student.
Amazing facility and instructors. It's more than martial arts - it's life skills!! This place is a MUST for families!
Mastery Is hands-down the best activity to help kids get stronger mentally physically emotionally and socially. The environment that is set up as positive and encouraging and supportive. If you are the parent that always looks for the best next thing for your child that is mastery!
They claim that the program is appropriate for 3 years old and up but unfortunately is not. My kid started when was 3.5 and was put in class with all kids 5 and up and everything was based on kindergarten skill numbers, words....all the 3 yr old kids were bored and left behind. Their solution was to put toddler into privates 🙄😆. No thanks if your program is not designed for toddlers you should not enroll them! It seems almost a scam!!!! Anyway my kid now is enrolled in a true toddler program and really enjoys it
