Came for the free trial.. joined after class. I moved from Maryland to Atlanta recently.. I signed up to compete in April (in my first competition as a white belt)… Figured I’d gym hop to prepare… This gym felt right..on sight..the first time.. Diverse.. Like..Brazilians..Asian, blacks, whites, greens, yellows lol.. you name it.. One band one sound.. With solid instruction.. Looking forward to where the journey leads 🤞🏽

This gym is super welcoming. A diverse crowd of skilled BJJ players. This is the type of place that you call home base. A place you start training and never look back. I would recommend this place to anyone at any point in their jiu jitsu journey. Thanks, Tribe 🤙

My 10 year old son started earlier this year and is improving rapidly. He LOVES coming to train every day, and the instruction he gets is awesome. The professors are patient and extremely knowledgeable (with the championships to prove it). My son never had a major confidence problem, but the changes I have seen in him these last few months are noticeable. He carries himself with a little more strength, he performs better in other sports, and his mind is more calm and focused in general. We feel we’ve made a great decision joining the Tribe.

If you want to take real authentic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu…with both the competitive tournament Gi structure, AND the street oriented self defense and NO GI structure, Tribe is for you. If you want legit, medal winning instructors with numerous other insanely capable high ranking belts always around to help you out, Tribe is for you. If you want to stop thinking about joining jiu jitsu and finally do it, while feeling comfortable amongst friends and training partners…. Tribe is for you!

The training here is on another level. The members are all welcoming and eager to help. Every class is such a great opportunity to learn, enjoy, and grow in Jiu jitsu. Professor Paiva is an amazing teacher, coach, and mentor. Finding Tribe BJJ has truly been a blessing.

I've been training at Tribe BJJ for almost 3 years now, and it's been one of the best and most fulfilling experiences of my life. The owners are awesome, the coaches are top notch, and you immediately notice that this is a legitimate academy. You really feel like you're part of something special. Be it self-defense, weight-loss, or competition, there's something for everyone and all ages. Kids classes in particular are very popular. I don't have kids myself, but I love catching the end of the kids class because they are surprisingly skilled and work super hard; I'd even say they roll harder than most adults! I genuinely feel like my fellow students care about my progress and me as a person. When I unfortunately was laid off at my last job, Coach Paiva and several of my co-students were constantly trying to help me find a new gig. That really meant a lot to me and it just shows that these are good people. If you're curious to try out a class, swing on by and don't be intimidated. You will not regret stepping foot into this great place. OSS!

Jiu Jitsu has been an incredible experience for my son, who had been constantly bullied. He feels more confident, positive, encouraged and not as scared as before. The team is great and professional, and Ranieri has a real gift, the way he teaches and encourages made and makes a total difference for my son, his development is being incredibly fast.

I enjoy training at this academy. There is a healthy environment between everyone. Coaches Ranieri and Thomas are highly knowledgeable. I recommend if you are looking for learning a martial art, lose weight, self-defense, or whatever your goal is, this is a good place to start.

Been training under Ranieri Paiva since 2008. My jiu jitsu and also my personal development have come a long way under his tutelage. Still have a long way to go.

Thank you Prof. RANIERI PAIVA for the honor of allowing me to train at your academy and with some of your students yesterday evening. This is a sincere privilege and a great surprise while at the time I hadn’t realized that I would be going back to my origins of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Your tops for anyone making the choice to practice this art. If you’re reading this and want to learn Gracie Jiu Jitsu. This is where you’ll want to go!

Awesome experience! Best workout I've ever had. Training here has helped me improve my conditioning, lose weight, and become more flexible. As a former athlete who spends a lot of time working, it's exactly what I need! The Professor is authentic, thoughtful, attentive and an accomplished practitioner in his own right. I couldn't be more excited to be a part of this BJJ family!

Hands down Gracie Elite is the best jiu jitsu academy in the ATL! I have been training at Gracie Elite with professor Ranieri for a year now and I couldn't have found a better team to be a part of. Prof. Ranieri's jiu jitsu is the real deal! He is an accomplished world class competitor and it shows in how he teaches his classes. He is also an ethical and moral man who cares a great deal about each one of his students. I really enjoy coming to class because it doesn't just feel like I going to train, but that I get to do so while being with teammates who I now consider friends.
