Pete is the owner of Tri-force MMA LLC and a highly motivated mixed martial arts trainer with 15+ years of experience. Pete is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Tim Burrill (TBBJJ)/Carlos Machado (RCJ Machado Jiu-Jitsu), an active professional mixed martial artist from 2005-2012, and Head Coach of Brown University's Mixed Martial Arts Team (GAMMA).
Megan is a co-owner of Tri-Force MMA and the wife of owner and head instructor Professor Pete Jeffrey. Megan created and leads the Women’s Empowered Program, is a Brown belt instructor, and is the leader of the Tri-Force kids’ program.
Coach Ahnise Kassab is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Ahnise has been training Jiu-Jitsu for 10 years and coaches the No GI class. Ahnise is a licensed Chiropractor and has his practice inside Tri-Force MMA.
Coach Dion is a Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu who specializes in coaching the kids’ program, but also coaches a few adult classes. Dion Rubio is a former competitive wrester and a current Professional MMA fighter.
Coach Travis, known in the school by the nickname “Sweeps,” is a Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Sweeps teaches Jiu-Jitsu to all age groups, from the smallest 3-year-olds to adults.
Professor Andrew is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Pete Jeffrey. Andrew has been training martial arts for 9 years, and coaches kids’ classes as well as adults.
Instructor Dan is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and professional boxer and MMA Fighter. Dan has coached at Tri-Force for 12 years; in addition to coaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Dan is the Boxing coach and also coaches MMA.
Instructors Dave Jones is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Pete Jeffrey. Dave has been training Martial arts since the age of 14 finding a passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Dave also possesses a brown belt in Tae Kwon-do.
Instructor Dylan is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a former competitive wrestler. Dylan is a current Jiu-Jitsu competitor in martial arts and has won multiple championships in both Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling.
Instructor John Douma is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a Professional MMA fighter. John has been training B.J.J. for 9 years, is a former competitive wrestler, multi amateur MMA title holder and Bellator MMA veteran, and is the Combat FC Bantam weight champion.
Instructor Percy Smith is a 1st degree black belt under Professor Pete Jeffrey and has been training Jiu-Jitsu For over 20 years. Percy is also a former collegiate wrestler and MMA champion. He specializes in Law enforcement training and is head instructor in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for Law Enforcement officers.
Instructor Ryan Chin is a 1st degree black belt and has been highly involved in martial arts since he was 9 years old. He has been studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2003 and instructs in both Gi and No Gi classes.
Awesome gym. I was in town for a couple days and dropped in for a class. Really great instruction, super tough rolls, really good vibes. Highly recommend!
Posted 1 year agoIn town for a conference, was able to do a drop in morning no-gi class with Coach Ahnise! He was very knowledgable, attentive and made sure everyone in the class had a good workout and a great time. Thank you! I will stop in again if I’m ever in town.
Posted 1 year agoThis gym is unparalleled in training techniques and community. I've been pushed mentally and physically, all while having the time of my life, and am absolutely better for it! Everyone here is always willing to help and even meet early or stay late to continue training. Classes are always accommodating to someone completely new or with 10 years experience - which seems like it would be a tough thing to balance. I also love all the different times classes are offered, which helps with my constantly changing work schedule. I highly recommend this gym to anyone!

The coaches and training partners I have worked with in my time here have helped me discover my strengths and weaknesses so that I can keep getting better and better. The coaches are full of wisdom so pick their brain and have fun🤙🏼🔥 🙏🏼
Posted 3 years agoMy son has been at Tri-Force MMA since he was 6 years of age, he is almost 12 and he improved so much! All the coaches are excellent, respectful, friendly, patient, certified, well trained and love to work with kids, they have a curriculum to follow and practice different dynamics, kids never get bored. Most importantly, Pete Jeffrey is always there making sure everybody is safe and having fun working out, plus he teaches at every level! They are always making improvements at the facility. My experience with my son has been 100% positive and I recommend this place to anyone who wants to learn self defense, workout, and even start to participate at tournaments! Thank you Tri-Force for teaching my son not only how to defend himself, but also values!
