I recently attended my first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class at Total BJJ as a complete beginner, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. From the moment I walked through the door, everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and happy to help, which made any nerves disappear almost instantly. The coaches explained everything clearly and created a supportive atmosphere where beginners feel comfortable learning at their own pace. It’s obvious that the club has a great culture, with experienced members encouraging and helping new starters rather than making them feel out of place. If you’ve ever thought about trying BJJ but have been hesitant, I’d highly recommend giving this place a go. It’s a fantastic environment to learn a new skill, improve your fitness, build confidence, and develop discipline. I’m really looking forward to coming back for more. 100% recommend!
I'm a total beginner and this is quite out of my comfort zone and in spite of that, I've felt very comfortable in class!! If I need more support, I always get things broken down to me and it's been such a joy honestly, great supportive community!
Great centralised location, friendly helpful team. Was nervous before starting but experience was great and helps better the rest of your day. Plenty of flexibility with sessions times since times spread out from early morning till evening

Total BJJ is a brilliant place to train. The atmosphere is welcoming, the coaching is excellent, and everyone makes you feel part of the club from the moment you walk in. It’s a great environment whether you’re brand new or already experienced. Special mention to Jack on the desk, whose friendliness and warm welcome are genuinely superb. His spectacular levels of welcomeness make the place feel even better before training even starts. Top club, top people, highly recommend.
Three of my children attend the kids’ jiu jitsu classes here, and they absolutely love it. The coaches are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and very hands-on with the children, making sure each child feels supported and included. What really stands out is how well they balance discipline with encouragement. The classes are structured, engaging, and age-appropriate, helping the children build confidence, focus, and respect while learning valuable skills. It’s a positive, safe environment where the kids are excited to go each week, and as a parent, that’s the most important thing. I would highly recommend it to any family looking for a great activity for their children.
I’ve been training here for a year now, and I can honestly say it’s been an incredible experience from day one. The level of talent in this gym is unreal — we’ve got athletes who’ve competed (and won medals) at Worlds and Euros, so every session pushes you to improve. The coaches are top-tier: technical, patient, and genuinely invested in everyone’s progress, no matter your level. The training environment is the perfect mix of serious competition and great vibes. Everyone’s friendly, supportive, and always willing to help you get better. I’ve made some amazing friends here and learned more than I ever expected in just a year. If you’re looking for a place to grow, challenge yourself, and train alongside some of the best — this is the gym to be at.
Been training here for close to 4 months now and I must say I’ve loved every second of it. Great people and a great environment to train in as well.

I’ve been training at Total for close to 10 years and have been taking both my children since they were 4 years old. The name really encompasses what this place is about, with world class coaching and training for adults and children; those looking to compete and those looking for a safe environment to learn a new skill. I’d recommend Total to anyone no matter if you are someone looking to start BJJ or someone looking to take their game to the next level.
Great gym, even better coaches. Got to be the best grappling school in the UK not just because of results but the atmosphere as well!

I’ve been training here just over a year and it’s been life-changing. The community and vibe are unmatched, and you get to train alongside world, British, European, and Pan-American champions — the level of skill here is incredible. Beyond fitness, BJJ builds real resilience and a real useful skill of combat/ control. If you’re looking for high-level training in a very very welcoming environment, I can’t recommend this place enough.

Couldn’t recommend a better place. Amazing professors with a class atmosphere. Training is second to none and in 7 months here my development is unreal, thanks to both the coaches and athletes.
