  My family and I have been training at Tier 1 for just over a year. My wife and I train together in the Thai Boxing classes multiple times a week, and my son in the Junior MMA classes. We all had zero experience at first, but soon became obsessed with the new sports in our lives! I can’t emphasise enough just how good the team are at T1, all very professional and dedicated to what they do, whilst being accommodating, approachable and most importantly - fun! The classes always have a great family feel to them, full of energy and guaranteed to make you work and improve your skill set. I can’t recommend the gym enough!

  My son was very reluctant to try any kind of sports club, I got him to go to a trail session at Tier 1 and he absolutely loved it and has been coming ever since. Woody is the most patient man I think I have ever met, he keeps the kids engaged while having fun.

  Stopped in for a visit to Tier 1 Martial Arts whilst on a work trip to the area and was welcomed in straight from the offset. The class was very well structured and all techniques were explained thoroughly with no fear of asking for help. All the members were friendly and there was a real family vibe about the place. Great facilities with multiple punchbags, loads of pads and spare gloves plus toilets and places to change. Suitable for kids, females and all abilities from compete beginner to the more experienced. The place to be in Poole for BJJ under Jimmy or Thai Boxing with Woody. Couldn't fault the place, when I am back in Poole I will be back for sure. Thanks guys, Paddy👊🏻💙

  My son has recently started the Alpha Cadets course and thoroughly enjoys it and comes out buzzing after the classes. The trainers are really welcoming/friendly and make the sessions fun and enjoyable. As a result of these sessions, 1. he has become a lot more confident in himself and his abilities; 2. he feels fitter and 3. understands more about self-defence and control.

  My son has thoroughly enjoyed training at Tier1 right from the first session thanks to the welcoming attitude and patience of the instructors. His strength and fitness have improved greatly and he has learned lots of new self-defence techniques. Most of all he enjoys kali and it really is impressive how quickly his skills in this have progressed. Tier1 always make sure the students have a great time training in a safe and inclusive environment. The sessions help build confidence and self-respect and teach the students to be responsible and look after each other. Highly recommended.

  Only first self defence class today but good so far. The chap is calm and good with my teenage son. Facilities are good and it's easy to find, with parking outside.
