Hi! I'm a female 27 y.o. and really struggle with verbal conversations haha Today I attended a trial class and overall had a mixed but largely positive first impression. Alex was wonderful from the very start, he gave me a full tour of the facility before the session and was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. That really set a great tone for the experience. During the warm-up, I received plenty of attention, which I appreciated. The warm-up itself was quite intense for me as someone who hadn't been physically active for a while, I found it challenging to catch my breath at times. I was regularly checked on and offered water and fresh air, which was very kind, though I'll admit it occasionally felt like everyone around me was worried I might not survive it lol! It was sweet nonetheless. My main takeaway is that with a group of around 20 students, it seems difficult to provide each person with enough individual correction to properly learn and internalize technique, especially for a complete beginner. Proper technique matters deeply to me, and I would genuinely love to train here. That's exactly why it was a little disheartening when the instructor himself began discouraging me from 1:1 sessions. It added to the feeling of not quite being understood or met where I am. I'm quite a shy person, and it's not easy for me to open up or initiate conversations in new environments. Because of that, I never really had the chance to share why I actually want to train martial arts and it felt like that had already been assumed and decided for me: I'm here for fitness. Fitness is a part of it of course, but far from the whole picture. For someone like me, a little space to be asked and actually heard would go a long way. Toward the end of class, I approached the instructor with a question but was interrupted by another person, and the conversation moved on without acknowledging me. A small but noticeable moment that also made me upset and stayed with me. I'll continue looking around, but I want to be fair: this place has genuine strengths that are hard to find elsewhere. A convenient location, a well-ventilated and well-maintained space, professionally oriented coach and a founder who is clearly passionate and deeply committed to what he has built. That counts for a lot, even though I won’t be staying. Thank you!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place truly deserves one. I’ve only been training here for about three weeks, but from the very beginning I felt something different. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and positive — something that’s honestly rare these days. People are smiling, supportive, and there’s none of that judgment you sometimes feel in other gyms. The coach really stands out. You can tell he has heart, knowledge, and real skill — but what’s even more important is that he knows how to pass it on. There’s a strong focus on fundamentals, on truly understanding the basics instead of just going through the motions, and that makes a huge difference. I’ve been to different gyms before, as I move around a lot for work, and I’ve tried bits of martial arts here and there — but this place feels different. It’s not just about training, it’s about growth, respect, and feeling comfortable being yourself. If you’ve ever felt unsure, judged, or hesitant to start something new — this is the place to try. No matter who you are, you’ll feel welcome here. Highly recommended.

"Best workout I've ever had! If you need a serious stress-reliever after work, this is the spot. The instructors push you to your limits but always ensure safety. Alex is a fantastic coach with huge experience and knowledge,Jalal is lovely young fighter with full of knowledge which brings all his experience in coaching sessions (I’m sure you’ll have a bright future Jalal).I ’ve noticed a huge difference in my strength, flexibility, and endurance in just a few months. It's a fantastic full-body workout that never gets boring. 5 stars!"

Excellent gym, team, community; can't say enough positive things. I moved to the Jewelry Quarter not knowing anyone and just looking to get some fitness, learn new fighting and self defense skills, and found a fantastic gym with a great community. Alex, the coach, creates such a welcoming and safe space where everyone is welcome. He truly cares, and is an excellent teacher and mentor. Jalal coached some classes and was also such an incredible teacher and inspiration, with so much empathy and kindness for new joiners. I found a community, met some truly incredible people, learned so much, got more fit, and just felt so much more comfortable in my own skin. I can't recommend this gym enough!
