Tempest are just the best. From the moment my daughter walked in they were so welcoming. Their ethos is exactly what martial arts should be all about. I've noticed a genuine improvement in her outlook, mood and she's made new friends too. She's quite quiet but the coaches all know how to get the best out of her. Can't recommend enough!
My kids (11 and 5) have been training at Tempest since the start of 2025, and I joined about two months ago myself. It’s been a brilliant experience for all of us. The coaching quality is excellent – the instructors are clearly very knowledgeable, but they also make sessions enjoyable and motivating. They strike a great balance between pushing you to improve while still letting beginners work at their own pace. Everyone trains together regardless of experience level, which creates a really supportive environment. I’ve noticed a real boost in confidence in both kids since they started, and from a personal point of view the fitness benefits have been great. There’s also something very satisfying about smashing the pads after a long day! All of the coaches are approachable and happy to help, which makes a big difference when you’re learning something new. As a bonus, the merch and training gear is top quality too. Would happily recommend to anyone thinking of giving kickboxing a go.
So my story with tempest has been a amazing one. And now have several belts and am always learning something new. I have been learning so much that I have also used this learning to be a leader in my new job of supervisor at work. I have been to leadership programmes with tempest which I have plans to go on to give back too. If I can and have been lucky to travel with my friends and family at tempest to actually learn thaikick boxing in Thailand. This place is amazing for all ages and will look after you and leave you amazed on how much you get out of it it. also can do birthday party's and grading days and also has programmes that give back to the community what are you waiting for join up.
If you are wanting to train in an environment that is professional friendly and passionate about what it is doing tempest is the place for you. Myself 46yo and son 7yo have both been training here now for the past couple of years and it has been one of the best decisions we made.the coaches are all highly skilled with brilliant communication skills and excellent motivational qualities. As others have mentioned when you at tempest the owners instructors and also fellow student make you feel part of something bigger. Am I where I want to be in my martial arts journey..no but I am a lot further along the path than I thought I could be a couple of year ago. if you are looking to get into martial arts or just get fit then get in touch with these guys and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.👍
I couldn't speak more highly of Tempest. My 2 daughters have been attending for a few years now and love it. The staff are incredible and a really positive influence. Paige and Alex further instill the 'girl power' I want in my daughters. I love that older children help out in classes too. No one is left out of any class, everyone is welcome and there is enough staff to support and encourage every child.
