Team Rhino Gracie Academy is the epitome of jiu jitsu! Thank you to Ms. Owen for allowing me to come in and train while visiting for work. The instruction is top notch, the facility is state of the art and clean, and the instructors are humble, down-to-earth and very welcoming. I had an excellent time training with this team and learning their techniques. I truly enjoy being a practitioner of this sport and being able to meet great people while traveling for work. Thank you Team Rhino Gracie Jiu-Jitsu!
Posted 2 years agoTeam rhino Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is a great place to learn or continue learning Brazilian jiu-Jitsu. Their team of instructors create a great environment for all types of individuals and families wanting to learn Brazilian jiu jitsu and or compete or learn self-defense. They've got it all! I train there for years and no the owners and structures and students and just such great people highly recommend them!
Posted 3 years agoThis is a great gym that harbors a really great culture and is super family friendly. The mat space is huge and very clean. I'm so glad we found this gym. After moving to this area and coming from a Gracie gym it was an easy transition being this is a Pedro Sauer affiliate gym.
Posted 3 years agoOne of the best Gracie Jiujitsu schools around the Valley. A Pedro Sauer affiliate. Good instruction for adults and children. Have a structured program with moves that need to be learned before testing for the next belt level.
Posted 1 year agofrankly i don't think i like this gym to much. my first night i sat and watched them train and i noticed a lot of them hanging out and talking in groups more then training. it kind of reminded me of Cliques in highschool. my first lesson as i walked in i tried to introduce myself to some of the other students, they were very distant and they continued about their business but there was a couple others there for their fist time and was able to talk with them for a bit. 2nd lesson was a simller story. the students seem to stick to their cliques and it was heard to meet people. me and one of the other new guys got paired up and after the teacher's demonstration me and my partner were having a hard time getting the movement right and we asked the teacher, Chace for help and he said "you're fine" we were definitely NOT FINE. the teacher would keep most of his attention on the higher belts and i noticed the white belts were pretty much left to struggle on their own and then i got switched to a new partner (higher belt) who instead of helping me get the movement right he just got frustrated with me when i wasn't getting it. and they have a Corriculum but the teachers don't seem to stick to it. safe to say i will be moving on to a better gym.
