I’ve been training Jiu Jitsu for about 4 years. I’ve been training with Taps Bjj for the past 9 months or so since moving to Colorado. The school I came from was a very special place to me and when looking for a new school i intended on trying several schools before committing. After an open mat and 1 gi class at Taps I could tell this would be a great place to train, signed up and haven’t looked back. I enjoy the way Professor Jesse teaches Bjj techniques, relates what he teaches to his own Bjj game and encourages different practices and techniques to work for the individual. This is a great room to train in to try and hone technique during sparring or have an all out controlled dog fight. I love it. Highly recommend Taps Bjj.

This place feels like home and I have been coming here for over 2 years. It is fun and engaging, and instructor Jesse and Jessica are the best instructors I have ever done bjj with. There gym is always clean and all the people there are so nice and welcoming.

Taps BJJ is an incredible gym that truly stands out for its positive and encouraging environment. From the moment you step on the mats, it's clear that Jesse has built a welcoming and supportive culture where students of all levels can grow and thrive. Jesse is a fantastic coach—his technical knowledge, patient instruction, and ability to break down concepts make learning both effective and enjoyable. Beyond that, he genuinely cares about his students and fosters an atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to improve without ego or intimidation. I appreciate that he brings in experts in complementary disciplines like Judo and Wrestling, giving students a well-rounded skill set and deeper understanding of grappling. If you're looking for a great place to train BJJ, I definitely recommend Taps BJJ.

I walked into Taps Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a year ago with zero martial arts experience, and it’s easily one of the best decisions I’ve made. The training is top-notch, the atmosphere is welcoming, and every class pushes me to improve while still being a blast. I also started Muay Thai with Coach Wade, and it’s been an awesome challenge learning both striking and grappling under such skilled coaches. I was so impressed with the gym that I got my two sons into it, and they’ve been hooked ever since. It’s amazing to see their confidence and skills grow, thanks to Jesse and the incredible coaching staff. Another huge plus? Plenty of class options throughout the week, making it easy to fit training into a busy schedule. Whether you’re looking to learn self-defense, get in shape, or just have fun while pushing yourself, Taps BJJ is the place to be. Highly recommend!

My son has been trining here for over a year. I can’t say enough about this studio! Jessie is amazing with kids and truly cares about them! My son has developed so much self confidence in the past year. A very welcoming atmosphere. If you or your kiddo are apprehensive about trying it out, don’t be. You won’t regret it, it’s the best thing I’ve done for my son!
