The women’s self defense class has not only taught me the skills to handle threatening situations, but I’ve gained confidence and trust in myself. Coach Angelica is attentive and supportive of each individual student while encouraging us as we learn and to believe in our abilities. She emphasizes situational awareness, teaching me how to avoid putting myself in danger altogether. Yet, if something does happen, she’s taught me how to effectively fend off anyone and escape. I highly recommend her self defense class.

We love Submission Concepts! It's more like a family than a business. Not only are the coaches great, but so are the other students. Everyone at all levels is so kind and ready to learn and teach each other.

What an outstanding gym. Kids BJJ is so good. Each coach brings so much to not only teach but also keep it fun and fresh. Kids always with smiles on face win or lose. If thinking of checking it out a 7 day pass is available.

It’s hard to believe it’s almost been a year since my elementary age son and daughter started attending Moo Duk Kwan practice three days a week here at Submission Concepts! This has been a year of so much growth, health, and fun for them. The Odoms family are class acts when it comes to demonstrating commitment, purpose, hard work, dedication, and friendship. My kids are focused on reaching Black Belt level and beyond one day, but also benefit (maybe even more so) from the mini milestones they reach along the way. Thank you Sammy, The Odoms family, and SubCon!

I moved down to San Antonio from Massachusetts looking for a new gym to train. I linked up with Sammy Sandoval via a quick phone call and he was able to give me a tour of the BJJ Facility and also 365 Fitness. Sammy got me going on some personal training along with coming to BJJ class where he is an awesome instructor. Everyone who trains at this gym is respectful and eager to learn and teach. Definitely give this gym a try - it's now my home gym and I train 2-3 times a week!

My daughter and I train here in BJJ, Wrestling, Pro Wrestling, Moo Duk Quan, and weight lifting. Family oriented, friendly, affordable, and great safe atmosphere. I highly recommend this to anyone. The gym is open 24 hours and is very clean. The coaches get you where you want to be and are the best instructors around.
