  My 6yr old daughter and I have been training here for a little over six months and it's been great. For the kids, the core group of instructors strike a fine balance of keeping the kids engaged while making sure they are learning useful skills, all while keeping it safe. For me in the adult classes, the variety of instructors provides some really great variety in the different styles of Ji Jitsu and keeps it really fun for me as I try and grasp the sport and figure out what works for me and my build. Don has been patient and very helpful with me and my daughter as we dive in and attempt to understand Ji Jitsu and get better at it together.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve been training at this Jiu-Jitsu school for a while now, and I can’t recommend it enough! Coach Don is incredibly kind, patient, and deeply knowledgeable about Jiu-Jitsu. He takes the time to explain techniques in detail, making sure everyone, no matter their level, understands and feels confident. The environment is welcoming, respectful, and focused on learning and growth. You can tell Don truly cares about his students and their progress. If you’re looking for a place to learn authentic Jiu-Jitsu with great people, this is the place to be!

  My son and daughter have been attending SCMA's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class in Wexford for nearly one year and I can't say enough great things about this organization. The instructors are extremely positive, respectful and patient with the children, breaking down the techniques in a way that's easily understandable for kids at every stage of training. The classes are well structured, challenging and motivating for my kids to learn, grow and succeed. I've seen their confidence, skill and physical conditioning significantly improve since joining this gym.

  My son (7yo) has been attending the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes at Steel City Martial Arts in Wexford for about 7 months and absolutely loves the classes. The coaches are very patient with the kids and teach the classes in a way that is both fun and educational. There is always a bunch of coach's supporting the kids class. The students get tons of one on one guidance, teaching, support and encouragement. If you're thinking about BJJ for your kids or even yourself, I highly recommend.

  Excellent instructor (Don Bluedorn) as well as his assistant instructors. Having a long varied martial arts background myself I recognize legitimate, strong techniques when I see them. He’s also excellent with children and runs a controlled, safe, and effective class. I highly recommend them.

  Super friendly and welcoming towards someone who has 0 previous martial arts experience. Also instructors are very knowledgeable and if you implement what is taught I’m sure you’ll see improvements :)

  I have been training Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu (BJJ) for just over 4 years at Steel City Martial Arts (SCMA). I was thrilled this past December when they expanded their locations to include a school in Wexford! The lead instructor Don is a wealth of knowledge and breaks down the classes in a way that both encourages those new to BJJ as well as for those who have experience. SCMA Wexford is a great place for families as well, with a wife and two kids (9) and (11) we all get plenty out of both the kids and adult classes! Looking forward to watching this school grow!

  We have had such a great experience with Steel City Martial Arts. We love the convenience of the Wexford location and have appreciated the incredible guidance and expertise of the head instructor, Don. The kids have been learning skills and building on them each week. It’s amazing to see them grow and progress in their Jiu Jitsu as well as in their confidence. Our entire family is enjoying these classes- definitely recommend for everyone out there who wants to improve their lives, their fitness and challenge themselves.

  We are so happy with the level of instruction in our classes. The kids are excited to come to class every week. Consistently learning new techniques and adding to the skills they already know. Definitely would recommend to a friend.
