If you're in the Gibsonia area looking for a Jiu Jitsu school, Sessions is a great choice. I own Empower Jiu Jitsu, and they recently came out to cross-train with us. Kevin is an incredible instructor—knowledgeable, approachable, and a skilled practitioner. His students reflect that same quality, showing respect and a strong emphasis on training safely. The upper belts did an awesome job guiding and supporting lower belts. Highly recommend training with them!
Posted 5 months agoA personal highlight to my 2023 was getting to return to training with Sessions Jiujitsu! I consider myself lucky, they have classes most nights and many day options as well. The flexibility is great for work/life balance. The atmosphere and energy are inviting and inspiring, with the instructors coaching beginners with a watchful eye for details and safety. You get the sense that as a beginner, they want you to succeed! The people, the students from high belts to low, are just awesome. Clearly a reflection of the Kevin and Craig's (the owners) philosophy and style. I would recommend Sessions Jiujitsu to anyone who wants to learn martial arts!
Posted 1 year agoAs a newcomer to Jiu Jitsu, I couldn't have asked for a better introduction than what I found at Sessions Jiu-Jitsu. The instructors (Kevin and Craig) are not only skilled but incredibly patient, guiding me through every technique with care and support. The atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive, fostering a sense of camaraderie among members. I'm grateful for the positive experience at Sessions and highly recommend it to anyone looking to start their Jiu Jitsu journey.
Posted 1 year agoCraig and Kevin are great instructors! Not only very knowledgeable but also very patient and committed to BJJ. With the old sports injuries I have they were able to help me learn and grow and work around them without ever making me feel like I was in the way or wasting their time. It’s been a great experience and I am excited to continue to train under them. They’ve built a great community who have been nothing but helpful and welcoming. Kuddos to Sessions!!
Posted 1 year agoFrom the first time I walked into Sessions I was immediately drawn to the positive culture and team camaraderie. There are no egos. Everyone is there to learn and grow in their own personal journey, but also to train hard and help each other. Regardless of experience, safety is the number one priority. The instruction is exceptional here and you are taught the fundamentals first, given practice to apply them, and then build upon those skills. Opportunities exist weekly, and even before and after class to practice specific skills with a partner or one of the instructors. In my own personal journey, I have seen so much progress and I’m learning each time I walk on and off the mat.
