Stealth BJJ academy was started in 2008 by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 5th degree black belt Steve Campbell. Since then the gym has been growing from strength to strength.
Our BJJ coach Steve spent 8 years training at the Gracie Barra headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he earned his black belt under Carlos Gracie Jr, the son of the founder of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Steve was the first Mancunian BJJ black belt, receiving his belt in January 2007 after having a successful competition year at brown belt winning the Rio state championships, Copa Rolls Gracie and getting silver in the Brazilian championships. Steve still teaches the majority of classes at Stealth BJJ and is there daily training, teaching and rolling.

My daughter absolutely loves her Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes! 🥋 She’s learnt so much, made amazing friends, and always looks forward to going. Ken and Leo are brilliant coaches!! They make every class fun, positive, and engaging. It honestly feels like one big family, everyone is so supportive, welcoming, and encouraging. Been training here a couple of months now. Everyone is really friendly and willing to help. The coaches are really knowledgeable and easy to talk too as well which helps when trying to understand new things
Visited the club whilst in Manchester. Steve is so welcoming and thoroughly enjoyed his class!! Partnered up with one of their many female black belts - thank you Marie!! And had great safe rolls!! Definitely give them a visit if you in the city. 💥💥💥
I've been training here since 2023, and I absolutely love it. I always look forward to the next sessions and I've made some good friends too. The coaches are some of the best around. They cater from kids classes, all the way up to adults, with classes all throughout the day to suit you.
I am a blue belt and train at another gym down South; did a drop-in at Stealth a few weeks ago and had a really positive experience. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere; knowledgeable head coach showing good solid techniques and generally a good standard of BJJ in the club. Great mat facilities as well - plenty of space. The club atmosphere is very relaxed, which may not appeal to everyone, but personally I found it to be a good balance, and I think it will be a good environment for both experienced people and those newer to the sport. I had a blast and had a really good roll after the technical session. Thank you Professor Steve for having me. Oss!
Stealth is the best BJJ gym in the whole of the uk! The coach’s are amazing, the people I train with are amazing, white belt up too black belt all help each other. My 3 children also go here and I can’t fault coach Ken and the helpers they help the children and also make them feel safe. Steve you have made a safe and healthy family at Stealth BJJ if I could give you a 100 star rating I would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I joined 6:30 Am class, it was amazing. Great atmosphere and the professor was super nice trying to help everyone with the technique.

Posted 2 years agoI take my 7yr old son to the stealth 6yr to 9yr olds classes. Coach kens classes are fantastic for the kids and I've noticed the changes in my son for the better. He is alot more focused and confident than when he started and loves nothing more than being on the mat with his team mates. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. 🥋
Posted 2 years agoGreat place to train. Multiple large and clean mat spaces. Coaching team are excellent, really knowledgeable and able to articulate everything in a manner that every experience level can understand. Heaps of talented and conscientious training partners available. 100% recommend.
Posted 2 years agoIf you’re looking to train in the north this is the only place you should be, spoilt with huge and clean Mat space, caters to women, men and children! And not to mention the amazing coaches and sparring partners here!! I started here in 2019 and never looked back! my confidence and skills have grown more than I could imagine. This place is like my second home 🤝 ❤️
