Ive been a member of 12 gauge mma for almost 2 years now. After 11 years in martial Arts i have been in alot of gyms and dojos and 12 Gauge is a cut above the rest. After relocating i needed to find somewhere new to train and went to many places around the Stockport and Tameside area but 12 Gauge is the only gym that was the whole package. I feel its extra intimidating for a female to walk into mma Gyms but 12 gauge is like a home from home. The staff welcome you with a smile and louise on reception has continually gone out of her way to help me and check in on a personal level each session. They have elite athletes teaching all their classes. The owner is friendly , welcoming and allowed me to Transfer my Dan Grade from another association so i could continue in my grading journey. The gym is one of the biggest ive been into , with a seperate seating area for parents and family. There are 2 matted areas seperated by 2 huge cages and a boxing ring. They have a strength and conditioning area at the back and boxing bags along every wall. I particulary enjoy the Tuesdays Kickboxing and sparring class where the respect level is on point and people of all abilities and ages get stuck in. My son who is Autistic attends the shoot boxing class on a Friday and the patience and understanding the coaches have with him have lead to massive improvements in his confidence, self esteem, resilience and ability to stay calm. All in all this place is like a home from home and I would highly reccomend it for all ages and all ability levels , particularly us ladies x
I have been taking my children to 12 gauge Manchester for some time now, it’s a really great environment for them to gain confidence, discipline and MMA skills. I Highly recommend 12 Gauge, it’s a fantastic gym and a really good opportunity for team building with other children! A special thank you to Luke and Lewis (coaches) for how much you have helped my children gain the skills and confidence they have achieved so far. 12 Gauge MMA, are an amazing team of coaches. Nurturing, guiding, and helping grow young people into confident well balanced young adults. Teenagers and the more mature, male or female, are welcomed. It's not pretentious or flashy it's friendly and definitely a great place to be. Everyone helps each other from beginners to the more advanced. They are great roll models for all, weather it's for fitness, fun or mental health.
This gym has is all !! a well Relaxed and vibrant environment, I started going to 12 gauge without any experience in mma or boxing and can not emphasize enough how truly elite the coaches are and how comfortable they make you along your journey or assisting you in reaching your goals whether that be fitness or progress , Luke the head coach has help be transform my life into a extremely confident person and I would recommend this gym to everyone !
