Great gym with a great staff! I go 3-5 times a week and it’s always been great. Also, I can’t wait to enroll my child in MMA classes here because I know the instructors are world class!
They are awesome. These guys are great with the kids. Great combination of motivation, inspiration, and hard work while mastering a skill. Again they are AWESOME!!!

If it wasn't for my lack of interest; I could've flew up the ranks! I at least achieved yellow belt. And my little sister, who became an instructor, is getting a black belt soon.
There is a reason for this rating. First I am paying a lot of money per month, but there are some decent amenities. However the staff needs to be much more on the ball about responsiveness. I came over here on Christmas Eve afternoon, 2 hours before the normal closing time. I called much earlier, and the person answering said that they be open until 4. Without the decency of a return call, they just decided to close on their own. Places like this usually have a sign if they are set to close early for holiday. There was no such sign at this facility or the La Plata facility, whose parking lot I am sitting right now..Everyone knows that if is hard to get a workout into a busy schedule, and this really took the wind out of my sails. I had allocated time this afternoon from other activities. The staff needs to be consistent with these types of things..run a Professional Organization please.
Wish I could say I was satisfied. I went to the desk to ask for a 2 month membership and the gentleman helping me told me it wasn't something they did but that he can sign me up and to "let them know in the middle of the month I'm leaving so they can cancel the next occurrence" so that I'm not billed for an extra month I won't be in town. I gave a call on the 15th of the month to request a membership cancellation and I was informed by a Jake that I will be charged for the next month because my billing date was in a few days and their policy is a 2-weeks notice. This is not what I was told when I signed up. The gentleman I met at the desk and the individual on the phone were two different people. When it comes to policies and especially people's finances, employees really need to be on the same page. I am a student and I work for minimum wage so this hurts me harder. I cannot afford accidents like this. The facility itself is fine. The machines are a little old but they all work. Instead of spray bottles they restock disposable wipes which sometimes run out. The bathroom is always clean. Though, I get concerned at attention to the carpets because I've seen a disposable wipe stay on the floor at a machine for a few weeks. SMMA Bryans Road is fine, but I understand much more regard is given to the La Plata location. Bryans Road used to have a variety of group classes, a massage room, and a smoothie bar but has lost these amenities over the years. It is a fine place if it's a convenient location for you but bear in mind my headache of a story.
I have been using this Gym for 4 years, recently the employees became so rude. I had to stop going there and I wish Mr. Gray / owner start getting control of his place before lts late.
This place goes to every school around the area for aftercare but doesn't go to mount hope elementary.
