  I've been training with Coach Mike and Coach Tara for roughly about 3 years now and I will say, some of the most professional and knowledgeable people you will meet! Both Mike and Tara have EXTENSIVE history in the Mixed Martial Arts scene as well as competed at the highest level of grappling. Coach Mike's instruction is top-tier. He has an ability to break instruction down from the experienced practitioners to the day 1 students so everyone can understand. Students regularly attend their classes are very welcoming as Mike and Tara promote a very family friendly, safe, professional and very close nit environment. If you're in the La Plata area, please give Enlisted Nine Fight Company - Maryland (Pagano BJJ) a try. I promise you will NOT regret it.

  I lucked out coming across this gym when I first came to the area with the military. The team quickly became a second family that helps and pushes each other to get better. The coaching is outstanding whether you join for an active hobby, want to compete in jiu jitsu, or MMA. The professors are also great with kids helping them develop self defense skills, discipline, and respect. If you are looking for a new gym I highly recommend stopping in and seeing for yourself. See you on the mats!

  Top-tier quality coaching from people who have competed at the highest levels in grappling and combat sports. Mike is an elite instructor with a well of knowledge in gi, nogi, wrestling, and MMA. He, Tara, and Adam are incredibly helpful to all and take the time to actively coach everyone in the class with techniques, adding detail and movement refinement tailored to your experience level. Regardless of your background - brand new to the sport or a seasoned black beltch - you will be hard pressed to find a better environment with a balance of welcoming and first-class grappling instruction.

  I've known Mike and Pagano BJJ for several years. Mike is a very good instructor who's passionate about sharing jiujitsu, watching people grow, and spreading the martial arts ethos. Highly recommend his school if you're in the area.

  Paganobjj has been instrumental in expanding my skill with BJJ. I’ve been attending this school for the past 2 years and it has been a humbling experience. Instructors Mike, Tara, Adam, Nate, and Dom are all experienced BJJ practitioners that enjoy taking the time to slow things down and ensure you are learning each technique properly. Instructors Mike and Tara also serve our community in both a law enforcement and emergency medicine capacity. Coming from a law enforcement background, this is very important to me, where I can use the skills and techniques learned in class to keep myself safe when I’m working. Because of the training and the expertise of the staff, I am much more confident in and out of my working environment. I highly recommend all levels of BJJ and MMA to give this school a try. You will be happy you did.

  It's great training at Pagano BJJ! Coach Mike is a seasoned jiu-jitsu black belt, and an experienced college level wrestler and pro MMA fighter. He is extremely knowledgeable, and and a fantastic instructor for both kids and adults. If you're thinking about trying jiu-jitsu, or you're familiar and just want to drop by, Pagano BJJ is a great place!

  I've been training bjj for 12 years and have been to many schools. Mike is a knowledgeable instructor and highly skilled black belt. His ability to break down techniques is pivotal in learning a complex art that takes years to develop. The school culture that Mike and Tara have is very welcoming and family oriented. As a guest I'm always welcomed to the mats and this makes for an enjoyable training experience.
