I’ve been a member for almost a year now and I continue to be impressed with Soul Fighters. The owners are very involved, kind, and they work so hard to continuously improve their gym. The facility is huge and always kept clean. There are so many coaches here and they are all incredibly experienced and knowledgeable and approachable. The camaraderie and team environment is unmatched. Everyone feels like family.
Posted 1 year agoThis place is amazing. It has great open space, the professors care so much about the everyone. The owners both participate in the training for the kids and adults. Couldn't have asked for a better gym. My family and me have made very good friends here, everyone is uplifting and supportive. I am extremely happy we found this place. I would highly recommend for anyone. You get one on one training with the owner and wife 6x world champion. 🏆 🥇 🏅 🏆 😇🥰
Posted 1 year agoThe place is our second home. Excellent knowledge, respect, compassion, professionalism and a great program for both kids and adults. Felt welcomed from the second we walked in the door. They treat you like family.
We're so proud of our son today! He's been training in Jiu Jitsu for 6 months and advanced after 2 months from beginner to the advanced class. He now has 2 stripes, the new one is a white stripe which represents his 1st promotion (4 wht stripes = new belt color) 💪🏽 The owners, professors/coaches are amazing! They are professional, skillful, kind and patient. We're so happy we joined Soul Fighters family 🫶🏽 Max really loves to train and we can't wait to see how far he goes 🤎
Solid place for children's training. Can't speak for their other programs but it's clean, organized, and the instructors are friendly. Nice place.

Our son Louie joined Soul Fighters in June and has been training in jiu-jitsu for four years now. He’s 14yrs old and currently a gray belt. We initially enrolled Louie in jiu-jitsu to build his self-confidence and teach him self-defense, and we couldn’t be happier with Soul Fighters. The team is incredibly kind, compassionate, and caring, providing him with a fantastic support system and a dedicated group of teammates. We highly recommend Soul Fighters!
Best coach, best facility, best environment
Exceptional Jiujitsu Gym Experience for the Whole Family My son has been attending a Jiujitsu gym for about 6 months, and we have been thoroughly impressed with our experience. The coaches and owners treat him exceptionally well, and he has learned so much during his time there. The group and private lessons are outstanding, and we recently had the opportunity to witness a competition where the students were well-prepared and trained. We are excited for my son's upcoming competitions and also enjoy the coffee shop with delicious acai bowls. This gym is highly recommended for both kids and adults seeking a top-notch martial arts experience.

Friendly people, great rolls, and incredible facility!! I’ve dropped in at a decent amount of Jiu jitsu gyms, but this one was seriously impressive. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and showed me around. The gym has massive mat space and locker room with showers. The teaching was excellent and rolls were competitive. I've been part of SF for almost 2 years now, and it's been an incredible experience for me and my kids. This place is like a hidden gem in the martial arts world. Amazing gym with amazing atmosphere. Championship coaching from the most brilliant and experienced professors who actually care if you are progressing and learning. Members are always courteous and encouraging on and off the mats. The new facility is amazing and has all the accommodations you could want. The gym even has two separated mat spaces so that multiple trainings can be going on simultaneously. If you want to try a new sport or get better at Jiu Jitsu, Soul Fighters HQ is where you want to be.

The professors at a Soul Fighters HQ are of the highest quality. The kids programs are age appropriate and conducted with safety in mind. The adult program is a great place to challenge yourself and very welcoming. Finally the new gym is the nicest martial arts facility I have ever been in. It has legitimate locker rooms and is kept very clean.
Great skills building and fun for young kids. Spencer is a great teacher. He knows how to keep the kids engaged and entertained while training skills at an age appropriate difficulty and intensity. Classes for adults are equally as good. With multiple professors teaching skills while making sure they are executed with proficiency.
Augusto and his coaches are world class. Both of my sons love the family atmosphere and learning with their Jiu-Jitsu friends.

All the Professors are very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful with all instructions. You can tell they are passionate about helping their students progress and achieve their goals. Along with the professors, all of the higher-belt students are always willing to help. It is such a great environment to learn and develop your skills, I absolutely recommend Soul Fighters to anyone of any level!
The kiddos have a blast here while learning how defend themselves. Honestly Spencer is so patient with them and always so attention to every kid. We love this place and the leadership they teach the kids.

Of the top 5 life decisions I have made, starting BJJ over a year ago is definitely one of them. Starting BJJ with Soul Fighters is another. Not only are the instructors, Augusto and Reese, incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, they're also great people and I am so thankful for all their help and patience. They take the time to make sure everyone understands and is on the same page with the moves and offer plenty of guidance on how to improve technique and position. The training partners are just as helpful and comfortable to be around. The coaches and teammates will help get you where you want to go, whatever those goals are (self defense, discipline, healthier lifestyle, etc.,). I joined this BJJ gym about a month ago and, wow, what a great experience! "Tanquinho" is a world class professor and his method is excellent. This place feels like a family and I can already see real improvements in my technique and even physical endurance. Also, the gym is always clean and provide high quality filtered water! Definitely recommend it!
The past few months I've been here have been a blast. The instructors care deeply about the students and what they want to learn. Augusto mendes the main coach is one of the best grapplers in the world and he cares for each and every one of his students. Reese one of the other coaches does a good job working with people of all levels and keeps it positive with an environment that's both positive and fun at the same time. The Academy is owned and operated by a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Legend-Augusto "Tanquinho" Mendes. Professor Tanquinho teaches daily. Not only is Professor Tanquinho a multiple grappling world champion and former UFC fighter, he is an incredible teacher. The facility is clean, spacious and the students are friendly. Best place to train in Arizona!

The attention and focus given to each student is off the charts. Tanquinho and the rest of his extremely qualified team of Professors / Coaches go above and beyond for their students. As a group, they make sure that each student is evolving rapidly, but feeling welcome at the academy while doing so. You couldn’t ask for more when it comes to level of instruction from your Professors.
Professor Tanquinho and the rest of the instructors made me feel like family when I moved to Arizona and joined Soul Fighters. They are all very friendly, respectful and have a high level of knowledge in Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Tanquinho is the most accomplished Jiu-Jitsu competitor in Arizona and he is also an IBJJF qualified referee so you know you’re getting the best information possible with his coaching and guidance.

AT Academy has the best team in the valley. While smaller than other schools, you will have the best training partners and get the chance to pick the brains of the top coaches in Arizona Tanquinho Mendes and Allan Valente Di Lucia. Everyone is friendly, welcoming and willing to help you start you BJJ journey. There are people of all ages, sizes and genders to roll with so if you want to get good, come here!

Augusto "Tanquinho" Mendes is not only a jiu-jitsu world-champion and UFC fighter, but also a fantastic teacher, motivator and coach. He and his instructors at AT Academy have an incredible system for learning and retaining jiu jitsu technique that needs to be experienced to understand.
I have been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) for almost eight years. The AT Academy is by far the best place to train in Arizona. The academy is led by multi Black Belt World Champion Augusto Tanqhino. Classes are also taught by Black Belt Professor Allan Di Lucia. The instruction is the best you can find, the members are friendly and the facility is clean and attractive. I highly recommend the AT Academy to people of all skill levels or those new to BJJ. Instruction is topnotch for both competition and self-defense. I came from a strong family-oriented academy in Tucson and was immediately welcomed in with open arms and solid sparring that made me think of Tucson.
