I explored a few other gyms in the Indianapolis area before deciding on SoBro BJJ, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Walking through the doors for the first time can feel intimidating, but it’s a step well worth taking. The environment at SoBro BJJ is welcoming and supportive, and the initial challenge soon gives way to comfort as you continue training. Coach Kenny and the entire team embrace everyone with open arms, fostering a community that prioritizes learning and growth. If you come ready to learn and leave your ego at the door, you’ll find an outstanding place to train and develop your skills.

I walked into SoBro with no prior Jiu Jitsu experience looking to try something new. Kenny and everybody else at SoBro were all extremely welcoming and encouraging and I would highly recommend this place for those who are interested! The lessons are great and there's lots of availability for different class times.

Been training at SoBro for a year now, everyone is super cool. You won't find a more welcoming gym. Kenny is a great coach that keeps class fun and will make sure you get plenty of rolls in. The mats are high quality, and the gym is super clean. Come try it out, you'll be glad you did!

Coach Rose is phenomenal. Never losing his patience, he instructs you in a way that makes sense for all skill levels. I cannot recommend this gym more. The other practitioners are welcoming and kind. The gym atmosphere is 10/10.

If you have never tried Jiu Jitsu then learn from my mistake and just start coming in today. I heard about it for years from various podcasts but always had an excuse to keep me from starting. I thought I didn’t have enough energy to exercise in the evening, I was nervous to get hurt, and I just didn’t know where to start having never done any martial art before. All that nonsense was blown away after just trying it out. I feel more energetic, less sore, and totally exhilarated after an hour or two on the mats in the evening. Showing up on the first day is the hardest part, but everyone at SoBro BJJ is extremely welcoming, so just come on in and get started. Starting at SoBroBJJ is the best decision I have made regarding my health, both mental and physical, hands down, period. Kenny, the proprietor, is a great instructor and he has built an awesome school with tons of friendly and helpful people. There are plenty of beginners as well as a good range of upper belts to roll with and learn from.
