I highly recommend this Dojo for a good mix of martial arts (MMA). Yesterday I had my free trail. The class was welcoming which immediately put me at ease. I loved the traditional respect shown between the dojo, student and Sensei, bowing to one another was important, yet the moves that were taught were street wise, not fancy and suitable should you find yourself in a real situation outside of the Dojo. The female Sensei lead had the respect of all the students, and she explained how to do the moves in a strong and clear way and always touching on safety. I’m no professional but I can see her technique was to the point. I was very impressed with this Shuhari club and look forward to many years of learning with them.

The location to start of with is very convenient. Near local neighbourhood. The hall inside is quite spacious, easily able to get 20-30 students. There is also a seating area for parents to wait. Toilets and changing rooms are next to the hall. The instructors (mainly 3) are very friendly and supportive. They conduct the classes professionally which is vital for such an activity/art/skills but also they throw in a few friendly instructions. The packages, dates & timings offered are great and best thing is the flexibility to attend either of the two classes in a week (in case you miss one). So far my son & myself have enrolled recently in the ‘parent & kids class’ but have a strong feeling that it will go well for the future!

My partner and I had a great experience at Shuhari Self Defence & Martial Arts. From the very first day, everyone was incredibly welcoming and the communication has been excellent throughout. It’s a really friendly, beginner-friendly environment which made us feel comfortable straight away. I was a bit nervous to start, but I genuinely enjoyed the sessions. Highly recommend for anyone looking to build confidence and learn self-defence in a supportive space

Shuhari MMA, this club is such a great club to join. The Sensei and instructors are fantastic, their coaching is not only about self defence but also about teaching their students discipline, respect for themselves and for others, they also teach their students about how to deal with not just the physical side but also that of health and well being. The sensei and instructors treat everyone with great respect, students and their families alike, and teach their students to deal with bullies and people that are not so nice towards others. So if you or anyone you care about are looking to build confidence, self esteem, fitness and well being, as well as to be able to defend yourself or themselves please try this club, you will not be disappointed. Everyone is warmly welcomed , almost as if you become part of one big family.

My son attends Shuhari self defence and martial arts classes and it has been a fantastic experience for him. The instructors are highly skilled, patient, and very supportive with the children. The sessions are engaging, well structured, and focus on building confidence, discipline, and respect alongside martial arts skills. My son always looks forward to his classes and we have noticed a great improvement in his confidence and focus. I would definitely recommend this club to other parents.

My son has been attending Suhari Self Defence classes and we’ve had a great experience. The instructors are patient, supportive, and great with the kids. Since joining, my son’s confidence and discipline have really improved. The classes are well organised, fun, and teach valuable self-defence skills. Highly recommend!

My 11 year old son joined Shuhari Martial Arts in July 2024 and is really enjoying it. We have been incredibly impressed with the Sensei, Senpai and all the assistants who help during the class. Their dedication, patience and support is amazing. From the moment my son joined the class, he was immediately made to feel welcome. The classes not only teach martial arts and self defence in a very professional level, they also promote personal growth and a great sense of community. This is a place where you learn how to be the best of yourself and how to be respectful and kind towards others. You learn how to become more confident by working hard, accepting new challenges and focusing on your achievements. I could not recommend Shuhari Martial Arts enough. Thank you.

My 7-year-old son absolutely loved every single lesson! The senseis were amazing—patient, skilled, and truly great with kids. The whole team was so welcoming and supportive, making it a fantastic experience from day one. Unfortunately, we had to leave mid-term, but we’ll definitely be rejoining this summer. Highly recommend! 🥋✨

Attending this dojo for nearly 6 months now and was nervous and had a half hearted approach. But I am having such a fun and wonderful learning experience, the sensei are excellent in how they treat us all, if we need to be pushed or the technic is wrong they show us our motions and how to correctly do. Motivation and confidence is shown in abundance. The classes are in all locations of Slough area and flexible ,where if I miss my Monday session, I can join Fridays class. I throughly enjoy my sessions, my colleagues are of all ages and abilities, me being female of middle age I am apart of a team, we are praised when achieving our goals and it really helps in wanting to make myself a better competitor and Student of karate. TOTALLY SUGGEST IN TERMS OF EXERCISE AND KEEPING FIT. With the question of training being what you are you waiting for, !!!!! Absolute Best Decision I've Made In Years

We are very happy,very content with Shuhari Martial Arts that my daughter attend on Friday late afternoon,my daughter likes the lessons,the discipline and the fact that she learn self defence which is so important for a girl especially nowadays,thank you Shuhari Martial Arts,we look forward for many years to come to learn together the art of defence
