    Our son has attended just a few drop in Judo practices to expand on his folkstyle wrestling and he has already seen some major benefits that carries over to folkstyle. He loves working with coach Jessey and looks forward to signing up with the all access membership once wrestling season ends to learn some bjj as well and keep with Judo. The gym is very clean, staff is all very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

    I joined RCA 2 years ago, after not having done Jiu-Jitsu since high school almost 20 years ago. Realizing how much I had forgotten, and how much the sport had evolved, it was intimidating but Ronaldo and his staff are the best teachers I’ve could have asked for. I’ve got chronic neck and back injuries, but RCA creates a safe environment where no matter how hard the rolls are I don’t have to worry about getting injured. Their kids program is fantastic. My 6 year old daughter also goes to RCA, and watching her grow in confidence and ability, and being able to submit boys that are bigger and older than her, is a constant source of pride.

    I became a member of RCA in April 2019. I have seen a lot of gyms over the years and this one is top notch. Professor Ronaldo is the real deal. He creates a safe environment for beginners and kids. He fosters a team environment, while encouraging students to become their very best on and off the mats. He does not push people to compete, but fully supports those that want to compete. Six years later I am proud to call everyone at RCA my family. With Ronaldo's coaching, I was able to finish 2nd at World Master 2025.

    Our jiu jitsu journey started 2 years ago. We came from another gym that wasn’t professional and was a very negative experience. I have two children in this sport and when we came to Ronaldo’s they were discouraged and losing confidence. Ronaldo took the time to communicate with and welcome my family into his gym. My daughter has especially taken to jiu jitsu and had the hardest time building back her confidence. Ronaldo told her, “Don’t worry we will be friends. I want you to see me as your coach but also a friend.” She recently came to me and said, “Mom I know now what he meant when he said that. Ronaldo really is my friend!” As a mom to hear that and to see her confidence soar to new heights, not just in jiu jitsu but life is AMAZING. This gym and all the staff truly are the best. They care for the person above anything else and it’s a welcoming and clean environment. We are so blessed to have found this community. Ronaldo is inspiring and professional and truly cares for the children and the journey they are on not only in this sport but life. If you want to train in jiu jitsu this is the gym you want to be a part of. There isn’t any better out there.

    As a proud dad of two energetic boys, ages 7 & 5, I can't express enough how much we've enjoyed our time at the Ronaldo Candido Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was clear that this academy is a special place. Both boys have thrived in their BJJ training. Not only have they learned valuable self-defense skills, but they've also built discipline and confidence that I see reflected in their everyday lives. It's heartwarming to watch them grow, not just as martial artists, but as individuals who understand the importance of respect, perseverance, and teamwork. The team environment at Ronaldo Candido's academy is truly top-notch. The professors are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about teaching, making every class engaging and fun. They foster a supportive atmosphere where kids feel encouraged to challenge themselves and step out of their comfort zones. The camaraderie among the students is fantastic; they cheer each other on and celebrate each other's successes, which reinforces the idea of growing together as a team.
