Highly recommended. Cool facility in Nottinghams Beeston area. Top quality training space. The head instructor Carlos is an excellent coach. I recommend visiting or training here if you're in the area.

I have been doing the 1-on-1 coaching with Carlos for a few months. My fitness levels have improved and I can see constant progression each week. There’s parking outside and the academy is always clean.

I have been attending this gym for a couple years and I now own a barbershop upstairs. I could say many things about the high standards for coaching and the top notch facilities they have to offer but what really stands out to me is the community that has been built, you know when you don’t feel like training because life’s got you down? Well you’ll wind up showing up every time just because you don’t want to miss out on the vibes or camaraderie and in the end you feel much better for it. This will always be my home gym , 10/10 staff ,people and ,coaching. I wouldn’t change it for the world

Roll Deep BJJ is an exceptional place to train. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and bring a wealth of experience to every class. What really stands out, though, is their patience — they take the time to explain techniques clearly, support every student individually, and help you work towards genuinely high standards. The environment is always welcoming and encouraging. Whether you’re completely new or have trained for years, you’re made to feel part of the team from day one. It’s also an amazing place for kids. My son trains here too, and I’ve seen such a positive impact on his confidence, focus, and discipline. The coaches are brilliant with young students and create a fun but structured atmosphere that helps them grow on and off the mats. Overall, Roll Deep BJJ maintains really high standards in both teaching quality and community spirit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for excellent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in a supportive, family-friendly environment.

I joined Roll Deep in May this year. Everyone has been so welcoming, from the head coach Carlos to all of the other coaches and students in the academy. It’s a very high level gym with lots of good competitors who do comps like the Euros, Worlds ETC. they manage to maintain the standards while also having a good time. Would recommend to any beginner, hobbyist or competitor in the Nottingham area.

Only been to one session but thought my review could be helpful for complete novices. I’m 40 and have finally taken the plunge and attended my first lesson at Rolldeep. After initial nerves I settled in and the lesson was awesome I felt super welcome and Carlos was very aware he had newbies in the lesson which even though it was a beginners class it’s very different I guess for first timers who know absolutely nothing. Everything was well explained and well shown, I listened and learned a great deal from just one lesson and I loved rolling a little at the end with Ken. Safe to say I’ll be going back as soon as possible and can’t wait to start my journey at Rolldeep. If anyone is thinking about it but keep putting it off I advise going for a free session you having nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Visited as a drop in from another gym and couldn’t praise this gym highly enough. Great pace to the classes, plenty of learning balanced with good hard rounds. Coaches were brilliant, attentive and very welcoming to me as a drop in. Definitely get down here if you’re a grappler visiting Nottingham 🤜🏻🤛🏻

Kids BJJ lessons Our son attended Roll Deep with his Dad and asked to be able to give BJJ a go. A year on and as his parents it is wonderful to see the skills he is learning, friends he is making and mentoring he is experiencing. Roll Deep has a very welcoming ethos. Young and older encourage each other whether you are looking to compete in the sport or just learn a new skill. The coaches are encouraging and build the youngsters through guidance and example which as a family is a huge strength of Roll Deep. Its also wonderful to see how the different groups (ages) form a level of camaraderie that can sometimes get lost in a setting like this but Roll Deep has it in spades!

I joined the Roll Deep family at the beginning of the year when I was looking for a new gym after moving to Nottingham and I can honestly say I could have never expected what came after; this academy and family has really and truly changed my life. The atmosphere in this gym is phenomenal and addictive, making you want to be there training with your team all the time. The coaching is delivered in a way that will allow you to truly understand the art of BJJ, something that I struggled with prior to joining Roll Deep. Everyone is mega friendly and leaves their ego at the door which will allow you to relax and feel comfortable and safe at all times. It’s hard to put it into words but if you want to join a team where you feel the sense of family and belonging while achieving whatever goals you have set yourself in the sport, get down to Roll Deep and make some friends for life and take your jiu jitsu to the next level, whether you are a hobbyist or a competitor.
