Kids BJJ lessons Our son attended Roll Deep with his Dad and asked to be able to give BJJ a go. A year on and as his parents it is wonderful to see the skills he is learning, friends he is making and mentoring he is experiencing. Roll Deep has a very welcoming ethos. Young and older encourage each other whether you are looking to compete in the sport or just learn a new skill. The coaches are encouraging and build the youngsters through guidance and example which as a family is a huge strength of Roll Deep. Its also wonderful to see how the different groups (ages) form a level of camaraderie that can sometimes get lost in a setting like this but Roll Deep has it in spades!
Posted 1 year agoVisited as a drop in from another gym and couldn’t praise this gym highly enough. Great pace to the classes, plenty of learning balanced with good hard rounds. Coaches were brilliant, attentive and very welcoming to me as a drop in. Definitely get down here if you’re a grappler visiting Nottingham 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Posted 1 year agoI joined the Roll Deep family at the beginning of the year when I was looking for a new gym after moving to Nottingham and I can honestly say I could have never expected what came after; this academy and family has really and truly changed my life. The atmosphere in this gym is phenomenal and addictive, making you want to be there training with your team all the time. The coaching is delivered in a way that will allow you to truly understand the art of BJJ, something that I struggled with prior to joining Roll Deep. Everyone is mega friendly and leaves their ego at the door which will allow you to relax and feel comfortable and safe at all times. It’s hard to put it into words but if you want to join a team where you feel the sense of family and belonging while achieving whatever goals you have set yourself in the sport, get down to Roll Deep and make some friends for life and take your jiu jitsu to the next level, whether you are a hobbyist or a competitor.
Posted 1 year agoHighly recommended place to train, the coaches are very knowledgeable and dedicated to helping you be the best you can be. The rolling environment is a mixture of competitive, fun, and camaraderie.
Posted 1 year agoOnly been to one session but thought my review could be helpful for complete novices. I’m 40 and have finally taken the plunge and attended my first lesson at Rolldeep. After initial nerves I settled in and the lesson was awesome I felt super welcome and Carlos was very aware he had newbies in the lesson which even though it was a beginners class it’s very different I guess for first timers who know absolutely nothing. Everything was well explained and well shown, I listened and learned a great deal from just one lesson and I loved rolling a little at the end with Ken. Safe to say I’ll be going back as soon as possible and can’t wait to start my journey at Rolldeep. If anyone is thinking about it but keep putting it off I advise going for a free session you having nothing to lose and everything to gain.
