BJJ Chester UK - Roger Gracie Affiliated Academy based in Chester, we hold Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Classes for everyone. Kids can start from age 5yrs and up, and we hold 30 classes a week in total. Beginners are always welcome and taught the necessary fundamentals from the start. Please call to book your trial class.
I started training February 2023 and haven’t stopped since! All the coaches are incredible and make you feel part of the team straight away. My daughter is 7 and also trains there and loves it. This Academy literally changed my life and I cannot recommend it enough. The facility is clean, modern and well looked after. There is parking available across the street and is so well located. Best decision I’ve made when I joined and I cannot wait to see where this Jiu Jitsu journey takes me!!!

The coaches are very focused on your personal development and achieving your long term goals - Steve worked with me closely to develop my sweeps for competitions as this was something I was struggling with, following this i was able to succeed. Your hard work does not go unnoticed here, great self defence techniques, great competition preparation and a great place to get fit and healthy. Black belt coaches, clean environment highly recommended!!
Posted 8 months agoBrilliant team, great instructors, high level Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, with a very friendly atmosphere. Great place for women to train with separate female changing room and toilet. Good training from absolute beginner to advanced, with range of people from all grades on the mat at most classes. Can't recommend this gym enough.
Posted a year agoFantastic academy teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Coaches Phil, Jay & owner Steve are welcoming, informative and make anyone new feel very comfortable. The academy’s students are all very nice! Can’t recommend this place enough
Posted 8 months agoI was In Chester for a few weeks working , Steve welcomed me into the gym and I was fortunate enough on my days off to be able to train with him. he’s a highly knowledgeable guy and I went away with a couple of great new techniques under my belt. I also attended Mick’s nogi/wrestling class few times which is not for the faint hearted ! However my stand up game improved tremendously over a short period of time and couldn’t recommend it more. If I’m ever back in Chester this academy will be my first stop.
