I have been training under Rodrigo Pinheiro for about two years now. Prior to this I trained at two other academies and I am happy to have found my forever home. My daughter has been training for a little over a year now and she loves it! Whether you are a high lever competitor or a hobbyist, young or old, in shape or not, this is the place to learn real martial arts.

RPBJJ is the best Jiujitsu school I have ever been to. It is the best run in Texas and likely the best in the entire Southwestern United States. This school is run professionally, as a business regardless of the location you choose to attend. The class and curriculum is structured, the standards are known and enforced. The facilities are world class with sanitation after class and, by a third party with testing every week. The training is rigorous because the instructors to the man or woman are or have been IBJJF and/or ADCC world champions and regularly place in high level tournaments. This school is not a meat grinder and the probability of injury is lower than others. There is no better place to receive instruction in the gentle art than RPBJJ

Just my opinion, but this is the place to be in San Antonio. My brother moved to SATX, and when he asked where he should train, I recommended RPBJJ. Professor Rodrigo is one of the most accomplished competitors from his generation and has built one of the strongest teams in Texas. My gal and I were supposed to leave to SATX on Saturday, but my brother suggested I leave Friday, stay with him and we train on Saturday at 11AM. I was excited to train at RPBJJ due to their style of heavy pressure passing. Majority of the guys were out at Kissimmee, Fl coaching the at IBJJF Kids Pans or competing in the IBJJF Orlando Open. Professor David conducted an awesome class covering armbar, omoplata and triangle. He covered setups, and what to expect/do when countered from a guard passer. My brother and I did the technique together, which was followed by specific training using the positions covered, then we broke off into five 6-minute rounds. I got to roll with high level blackbelts, train hard all in a very welcoming and friendly environment. I highly recommend training here, or if you are passing through this is the place to stop at. Professors David, Manny, Tony were all great training partners, and I look forward to seeing these guys again in the near future.

My son has been training here for just over two years. I am so impressed with the knowledge all of the instructors have, their ability and patience to work with kids of all ages, and the culture Professor Rodrigo has developed with everyone. This place has been one of the best investments I’ve ever made into my son. He’s grown so much as a person thanks in part to the values and positive culture RPBJJ instills…this place isn’t just about jiu jitsu, they are about developing well balanced, healthy, confident kids. I can’t say enough positive things about the impact this staff has had on my son, wish I could give them more stars on this rating!

Best place to train Brazilian Jui Jitsu in San Antonio if not the world. The athletes here and coaches are legit and top tier! I am extremely impressed with RPBJJs awesome instructors and professionalism. I love the family oriented community here and I will eventually get my kids in. If you are thinking about getting into Brazilian Jui Jitsu, look no further than RPBJJ you will not regret it.
