  I had a wonderful experience visiting Revolution Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. From the moment I stepped in, everyone greeted me warmly and made me feel right at home. Garret is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to help you truly understand the techniques. The atmosphere is fantastic, making you feel like you're part of the gym from day one.

  My sons and I train here regularly. Every time we walk through those doors, we are greeted with smiles and genuine joy that we are there. We have never had a negative interaction with anyone here. When I step on the mat, I get the opportunity to train with some of the most high level grapplers in Alaska. Garrett Hartley is the Owner and lead instructor. You will always have no less than a Black Belt level of instruction when you come to class. Garrett also is well integrated with the Wolf’s Combatives team out of Ft. Wainwright. After training at all the other gyms in the area, their team chose to make Revolution their home. Revolution isn’t a gym where you feel like you have to be a competitor and pro athlete in order to be accepted here. At the same time, you are able to train with some legit talent! You come here to get better. That’s it. Better as a person, parent, friend, or martial artist. No one here will judge you. Ever. We will always build you up and make you and your children part of the team. Your children will be respected, encouraged and trained well. The kids coaches are not only very skilled in grappling. They are so personal and loving with every kid that steps onto the mat. Our family will always be Team Revolution, and we genuinely hope to see you on the mats.

  Garret embodies what it means to be a martial artists. We went out of his way to help me and my crew when we were in dire straights. Not only is he knowledgeable, but he also carries himself like a consummate professional & truely loves the sport. World class gym check them out!!

  My son is adhd/autistic, and the instructors here work with him on his level. We have seen a night and day difference in his behavior in just the week we have been attending classes. We have 3 kids going here, and all of them are having fun and learning.

  What a tremendous club with a fantastic atmosphere from all coaches & club affiliates. I trained here whilst on holiday & the team were as welcoming & supportive as they were technically sound & expertly instructed. Fairbanks is fortunate to have such a club to use, can’t recommend highly enough for anyone at any level to utilise!

  I started at Revolution around 7 months ago, and I highly recommend this gym. Everyone at the gym is very welcoming, and encouraging. Garrett is extremely knowledgeable, and you can tell he loves teaching and coaching. If you want a technical understanding of Jiu-Jitsu while learning in a welcoming, yet disciplined and fun environment then this is the gym for you. Safety of his students and proper gym cleanliness are one of Garrett's top priorities, and he has ensured there are proper amenities like changing rooms for the students and seating areas in the front for family and friends of students.

  My son attends the kids BJJ classes and they have surpassed all expectations. It is a clean and welcoming atmosphere, the coaches are kind a patient to all the kids that attend the classes. I go to the adult classes and it by far the best BJJ gym I have ever gone to. Garrett is a great coach with a wide variety of students at all levels. The big thing that sets revolution apart from everywhere else I have trained is that Garrett works with the community, his beliefs in BJJ and how it can help everyone is genuine and sincere.

  Both of my kids attend BJJ classes here. They had been training in BJJ before we moved here, so I had certain expectations of the gym we were to sign up with. I visited each of the gyms in town and chose Revolution because I wanted my kids to receive solid training in a welcoming, clean environment. Garrett and his team have been friendly, knowledgeable, and very patient. The gym itself is well kept with adequate changing rooms and storage area. There is space for parents to sit and watch the class. Other parents have been warm and welcoming. Parking is no issue as the mall that the gym resides in has a large parking lot. I highly recommend Revolution BJJ to all parents with school age and older children.

  My teen daughter started at RBJJ 10 months ago and LOVES it. The instructors explain things very well, as many times as needed and will do 1 on 1 for a few minutes if you still need help. They build the students confidence in a positive and fun manner. She has a blast, has learned a lot, gained confidence and enjoys the atmosphere! Everyone teaches and helps each other, its great! Highly recommended!

  I train here and find the instructors extremely technical and open to sharing their knowledge and skill with everybody. It really creates a culture of teamwork and comraderie. Been training for like 3 years and enjoying every minute!

  Best place to learn Bjj in Fairbanks! The teacher is very knowledgeable and friendly! Their gym is full of fun students to be around and to roll with! It’s important to me that a bjj gym has a healthy learning environment, especially for me being a woman!

  I've travel often and this is one of the best gyms I have ever been to. The owner is so friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The regulars are so much fun to roll with, such a cool group of people to be around. Whether you're a just starting white belt or a traveling blue - black belt. This is the gym to stop by when you're in Fairbanks or looking for a local gym to join.
