I was visiting Seattle with my wife and dropped into a nogi class. Phenomenal coaches and atmosphere. I was welcomed in and had a great class. Super clean and spacious gym with great training partners. As advertised combining wrestling, judo, and bjj like I had hoped going there. I would definitely go and train there again!
Fred, Josh, and Noah put enormous care into each and every student. This gym is the real deal. A safe, clean, and inclusive space with world-class instruction. Blessed to have started my training here.
I visited Seattle for work and dropped in for a late Tuesday evening gi class. The gym looks great, pretty big too, with a muay thai ring right next to the mats. I had a great session, lead by both coaches Fred and Josh. They covered all bases - a nice warm-up, grip fighting, positional rounds, we worked on a submission, a takedown, then 3 variations of a guard pass with increasing complexity, followed by 4-5 live rounds. Everyone there was friendly and welcoming. I received thorough instruction and a great workout. Would defintely visit again if in Seattle. Highly recommended!
Learn fighting, self defense, fitness. Renzo gracie Seattle got everything you need!
I was traveling from NY to Seattle and made arrangements to train with the team at RGS on the recommendation of my professor Mike Jaramillo who knows Fred, one of the owners of RGS. Everyone in Seattle was friendly and cool. I felt very welcomed. Their academy was clean and the instruction and skill level of the group was impressive. Highly recommended! I’ll be back for sure. Thanks for everything professor Fred and Josh!!!
I had a great experience here. The professionalism that the school integrates reflects on the techniques presented through the class. Everyone is welcoming and will encourage growth to all levels.
My home away from home the best experience and amazing people and professional instructors and a huge must for anyone to come check out and feel the amazing vibes definitely one of the best experiences 🤙🏽
A fantastic place to train if you live in Seattle. A healthy mix of gi and no-gi. In every class there is a portion that focuses on standup as well as ground technique. They use lots of positional sparring to make sure you get a good feel for the techniques that are taught. Fred and Josh are top notch instructors, and were taught by some of the best in the world - it definitely shows.
Visited for a no-gi class while traveling - Freddy gave a great class and everyone was inviting. Good, focused training. Given the opportunity, I would absolutely train there again in the future.
Great place to train. Coaches were really good and helped me through techniques. I was visiting and was allowed to drop in free of charge. The level of all student there was really good, great rolls.
I dropped in for a Wednesday night Gi class while traveling for work and everything about my experience was top notch. Coaches Josh and Fred were professional, welcoming, and gave great instruction throughout the evening. They have created an excellent and safe environment that shows in their students who were all great training partners. I'll definitely train here again whenever I get the opportunity.
the professors are definitely invested more into your skills and development than how fast you get your next promotion. Students are very respectful to each other and everyone works hard to get better. One of the best gyms I've ever been a part of.
If you live in Seattle or even visiting that’s the place to go. Their hospitality and care about you will make you feel at home. Great coach, looking after everyone and nice technique. Looking forward to coming back.
Great place for beginners and advanced! Respectful, friendly and calm. Deep on technique and professionalism. Great atmosphere.
I've been training at Renzo Gracie Seattle for about a year and a half and the atmosphere, coaches, and teammates have been exceptional. I started as a complete beginner and have had no complaints. Josh and Fred teach a holistic grappling curriculum that emphasizes takedowns (wrestling and judo) and the ground game. Fred and Josh focus on the details and have built a solid curriculum that offers depth and breadth, which gives ample time and repetitions to learn new skills. In particular, they focus on details that can often make or break your techniques - Footwork, hand fighting, grips, angles, and of course submissions. The atmosphere is competitive, yet friendly. Everyone is always willing to accommodate a specific need (injury, desire to focus on a specific skill), and I’ve always found the environment to be very welcoming.
I've trained at this gym for a couple years now and really like the way Fred and Josh structure classes and focus on a complete grappling system. Great coaching and great group of people to train with. Very welcoming atmosphere to new students as well.
Fred and Josh are world-class coaches and teachers. They push everyone in a positive and engaging way which creates an environment where the energy is contagious. As a former Division-1 athlete looking to stay competitive, in shape, and mentally sharp - I leave every session having learned something new whether it be a skill, technique, or life lesson through jiu-jitsu. The last year has been a blast. Let's keep the good times rolling! Come train with us! -Shel
Being new to martial arts, the thought of joining a BJJ class initially intimidated me. Thankfully, I stumbled upon Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Seattle, and it's been a game-changer. After my first class, I eagerly signed up, and I can't recommend it enough. Coaches Fred and Josh are exceptional, motivating you to push your limits, improve your skills, and they genuinely appreciate your efforts. The supportive advanced students make the learning experience enjoyable. I look forward to each class, it not only provides a fantastic full-body workout but also serves as a refreshing escape from my work life, helping me cultivate a calmer mind.
I started out early in the Summer of 2023 with very little background in BJJ. The courses taught by Fred and Josh, the environment they've created, as well as the good nature of the other people training, absolutely deserve a five star review. The instructors are always open to question or to help, and genuinely care about your health and progression. I would absolutely recommend this place to both beginners and more experienced folks.
Best place in town. If you are new and thinking about getting into grappling, look no further. Josh and Fred have well over 30 years of combined experience training sport jiu jitsu, wrestling, and submission grappling. This is the best place in town to spend your time training and all of the students you meet are great humans and willing to help you.
I have been training at RGS for nearly 2 years and could not recommend this place enough. Coaches Fred and Josh stand out for their dedication and work ethic instilled in every session, they've created the space and opportunity for the grind. What sets this gym apart is its strong emphasis on stand-up (judo/wrestling), providing a well-rounded approach to jiu-jitsu.
Renzo Gracie Seattle has a very welcoming environment for people at any level and interest in BJJ. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to get into grappling.
Started training here this year as a complete newbie with no prior bjj or martial arts experience and I couldn't be happier with my choice to join this gym! The coaches, Fred and Josh, are truly amazing - they are extremely knowledgable, attentive, and have great attention to detail in all instructions they provide along with thorough technique breakdowns. They really do push each and every person to be the best they can be. The gym itself has a great atmosphere and everyone is so kind, welcoming, and uplifting. Really great group of people! I've learnt so so much in my time here and am seriously always looking forward to class. I would highly recommend this gym for all levels and backgrounds.
Have been a member for a few years now. I was always curious about BJJ growing up and I regret not getting into it sooner. This gym is welcoming to all and has a great community. Coach Fred and Josh bring a great mix of how to get to the ground, and what to do once your there ;)
Trained here for a year and it was amazing. The coaches are great and everyone there is very welcoming and great training partners. Came in as a complete beginner and ended up competing at tournaments with the team and had a ton of fun. Only reason I stopped coming here was because I moved out. Gonna miss this place!
Fred & Josh are the best in Seattle!!
RGS is a unique gym, which combines many aspects of modern grappling game that a lot of traditional schools don’t pay too much attention to. It’s a fusion of traditional Brazilian gi technique, leg locks and wrestling. Fred, Josh and Noah have influenced my style a lot, which few years after leaving the gym still makes up a core of my game. We became good friends and are still in touch. Fred and Josh really care about their students and I think it’s a rare quality to have
This is the most welcoming gym someone could ask for. I started as a complete beginner where the coaches Josh and Fred were so knowledgeable, patient, and just amazing teachers overall. They've created a really welcoming atmosphere and their passion for bjj is contagious. I love their teaching style and l always look forward to going to class. The coaches take everyones growth and well-being seriously and I would highly recommend for all levels.
A great place to train and learn! The coaches pay attention to everyone and show a passion for teaching jiu jitsu.
Great gym, Great people and great coaching. Everyone is focused on making each other better and growing both on and off the mat!
Fred and Josh are the best instructors I’ve ever met. Started a Jiu Jitsu back in 2019 with zero grappling experience. Despite my clear lack of knowledge and skill these guys worked tirelessly to help me improve and be the grappler I am today. I personally like the large amount of time learning wrestling/takedowns which differs from other gyms. The confidence I’ve gained from this gym has helped transform my life. If you are a beginner to advanced practitioner I highly recommend Renzos.
Been at Renzo Gracie Seattle for coming up on two years! Josh and Fred are great coaches for all levels. Great for entry level newbies all the way to competitive upper belts. I’ve trained at several gyms in Seattle and best gym by far!
Visiting from NYC where I train at Renzo fight academy in Brooklyn. Everyone here was very welcoming and friendly. It was great to meet Coach Fred and Coach Josh, thank you both for treating me like family. I highly recommend stopping in if you are beginner or advanced. Great atmosphere and great people!
I started bjj this year in college and joined Renzo Gracie Seattle for the summer. Both Coach Josh and Coach Fred are absolutely incredible and I learned so much over the course of two months. The instruction was step-by-step and easy to follow, and every class had great takedown and stand-up practice as well as positional and free rolling. Can't wait to come back to train over break!
Travelling from Vancouver Canada and what an awesome spot to train at. As soon as i stepped in the door I was greeted by professor Josh and he got me signed in and let me join his class. Great warm up of stretching and drills… awesome technique and some good rolls to top it off. There is a lot of bjj gyms to look at and i’m glad I picked this one!! I’ll be back to train here with professor Josh.
dropped in for a class and was glad to experience a great gym culture and very informative coaches, Josh and Fred. I had a great class and the students here are good partners. would recompensed gym for sure
Wanted to take the time to thank coaches Josh & Fred. Temporarily visiting Seattle from NYC & wanted to find a gym to get back in touch with bjj after almost a year off. Both coaches accepted me in & shared a wealth of knowledge showcasing their technical expertise. The atmosphere is nothing but great energy & everyone is there to improve & help one another grow. Great gym for all skill levels.
I train at Renzo in NYC , visiting Seattle for a few days and made a last minute decision to swing by to visit Renzo Seattle. Great atmosphere, super friendly and welcoming. Everyone on the mat was friendly. Was able to join a class and enjoy learning from professor Fred and professor Josh. Felt like family and will definitely come back again. If you're new to jiu jitsu, you should come here as I noticed they take special care and time to make sure folks who are new to jiu jitsu are acclimated at a good pace and taught all the things they need to know before joining the main group. Oh and if you swing by and not sure you're at the right place because you see a bunch of folks doing Muy Thai, don't worry, you're at the right place. Renzo Gracie Seattle shares the space and uses the mats next to it. One last thing, Google maps direction was a little confusing to find the location. The Renzo Gracie Seattle school is located on the lower level in between two sets of small office buildings.
I was in visiting and received treatment as one of their own. Very welcoming instructors with top notch knowledge. The class I attended was a GI class which was very action packed including a thorough warm up followed by technique, positional rolling and some live rounds. Everyone was very friendly and was even invited to go again from which I unfortunately could not make more time. Highly recommend if you're in Seattle.
I was unathletic before I joined and now I am less unathletic 😎👍
Developed wrestling game on top of solid bjj expertise make this place unique 💪 east cost vibe is the icing on cake🎂
Wonderful gym! They welcomed me for drop ins as I was in town on a business trip. Love the instruction format, it's split between the two instructors so you get some variety. There's a good mix of stand up and ground work. Would definitely recommend!
I"m an IBJJF ranked blue belt and have trained at gyms all over the world such as Evolve MMA (Singapore), Roger Gracie Academy (London), Alliance San Diego, Renzo Gracie New York, etc. and I can honestly say this gym incorporates wrestling and judo in their classes more than any of the ones I listed above. After warm up every class begins with specific training on the feet and specific training on ground before the drills even being which is something I've rarely seen before. There aren't plenty of upper belts but colored belt at that gym is very much legit. Overall great gym!
I visited to the gym at Feb 12. Borden and Josh greeted me with kindness. I had one day class and the class was so helpful to my skills. We had running and streching, and trained some drills. And then Borden and Josh teached 1 skill each. Then we had short rolling and then had sparing for 5 rounds. I hope I can visit again in future
Renzo Gracie Seattle is one of the best gyms I've tried. The coaches are true coaches and take the time to help everyone get better in class. They also push you to your limits which varies for all the different levels in the class. Looking forward to getting back there soon.
Coaches Fred and Josh continue to provide high quality instruction true to the legendary Renzo Gracie name, not to mention they have created a fun and welcoming environment for all skill levels and ability. Whether you are brand new or experienced, don’t think twice - come check it out and see for yourself!
The first thing I looked for when moving from NYC to Seattle was a jiu jitsu school to train at and ultimately it was Renzo Gracie Seattle that stood out to me. Although the environment is upbeat and fun, the training regimen is taken seriously and approached with great detail and discipline. IMHO, the two head coaches, Josh and Fred, are the best that you can find in Seattle
Starting my Jiu Jitsu training at Renzo Gracie in Seattle has easily been one of the best decisions that I have made. Fred and Josh run a great gym, they pay attention and close detail to the beginners making sure they learn things the right way while still continuing to build the skills and knowledge of all of their experienced students as well. Another great part is the people at the gym. Great group of people, extremely nice, welcoming, and always open to help. If you want to join a BJJ gym in Seattle I highly recommend Renzo Gracie.
amazing instructors and a great group of people
I started training at Renzo Gracie Seattle a little over a year ago and it has been an awesome place to learn jiu jitsu. Fred and Josh are great coaches and the quality of instruction is top notch. I’ve learned a ton in the past year and the curriculum here keeps things interesting. I always have new things to work on when training. The community at the gym is welcoming and laid back. Everyone trains hard but also knows how to have fun with it. Highly recommend checking out this gym if you are interested a fun and challenging place to train jiu jitsu!
Visited the gym on upon the invite of one of their awesome students while we were in town. The gym was clean, students were welcoming, and the instruction was top notch. Josh and Fred were welcoming and super keen on sharing their jiu jitsu knowledge.
Great clean place. The people are very nice and helpful. Professor Josh is amazing and very knowledgeable with his jiujitsu. He also guides each of his students when training specifics. Overall, this great place to learn jiu jitsu. I highly recommend everyone to enroll in this dojo, especially if you are a beginner. They treat you like family, and push you to be your very best.
I was in town visiting recently and had the great honour of training with Coach Josh and the team. They were very welcoming, class was amazing and really great training partners. It was a great experience all around and learned lots. I would highly recommend Renzo Gracie Seattle if you want to learn/train BJJ. OSS!
Amazing place. Tourist in town, came as a one time visitor, coach and everybody made me feel as one of the team. Had a fantastic class and sparring session. Go there. You'll love it.
Great atmosphere and even a better group of people. I highly recommend this academy. If you or traveling or living in the area check it out.
I came in for some no-gi training from out of town and had a great time here. Fred and Josh are top level and do a great job explaining technique in an intuitive way. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, definitely coming back when I'm in town!
Great place to train jiu jitsu! Professor Fred and Josh are awesome teachers of the gentle art, bringing world class BJJ from the blue basement to the west coast!
I live in Ca but came to town for a conference and made sure to bring my GI. I stopped at this gym and they could not have been more welcoming it felt like I was back home. Coach Josh made sure to make me feel welcome and get my Kimora tight. Anytime ur in Seattle u might as well stop at the best gym in the state. Thanks again coach Josh and Fred!!!!
The instructors Fred and Josh are both great guys and talented jujitsu black belts, they make new people feel quite welcome and offer detailed instructions when demonstrating techniques. I have enjoyed their takes on advanced techniques for more experienced belts and the foundation they set for newcomers. The build on the fundamentals which has been great for learning series of moves. Thoroughly enjoyed the classes and these guys make it fun.
Had the opportunity to drop into a class while I was in town and it was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere was great and everyone was incredibly welcoming. The techniques and drills were top notch and I definitely recommend training here.
I joined Renzo Gracie Seattle after I moved back to Seattle and was instantly welcomed by everyone. I tried three other gyms before landing this gem. Instructors Fred and Josh made me feel supported and safe, and as a young woman in a male-dominated sport, this really meant a lot. The atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive to people of all backgrounds and skill levels. Everyone at the gym is here to learn and to help others improve. Technique is prioritized over strength, and each week is structured around a new set of moves that incorporate both standing and ground game. Most importantly, training here is a lot of fun! I'm surrounded by amazing people and coaches and have already seen growth in my jiujitsu and confidence. I 100% recommend joining this gym if you want to become part of a team that supports each other, or just take a trial class to experience this amazing sport!
Great training here. Fred has trained with some of the best instructors in the world. You couldn’t ask for a better instructor to teach you the gentle art.
I moved from the East Coast to Seattle and instantly felt like part of the team here. I've been doing jiu-jitsu for about 2 years now (not including the 1 year break during Covid) and honestly couldn't imagine doing it anywhere else. The blend between stand up and ground work is seamless with both Fred and Josh being incredible coaches. On top of that, the quality of the space, the students, and environment are top-notch. Definitely looking forward to continuing the journey with this team!
If you’re in Seattle and want the best detailed instruction look no further. Fred and Josh are the great instructors and will take your game to the next level. They also provide a well-rounded curriculum of stand up grappling: including judo & wrestling. Each class is condensed into easy to understand concepts Of this highly nuanced game without overwhelming you. I wish I didn’t Start training during Covid but this gym welcomed me back with open arms(and open guards hahah). Outside a family, Renzo Gracie gives me something to look forward to everyday. Thankful for every time I get to step on the mat to enjoy this sport that I love. Come join us! -Kalani
I took my first ever jiu jitsu class here, and now it’s more of an addiction than a hobby. Your training partners will quickly become teammates, and the coaches, Fred and Josh, have a way of making you feel welcome and push yourself to reach your potential. Incredible culture and would highly recommend!
East coast grit and west coast affability make this the best places to train jiujitsu in Seattle. Fred & Josh have a strong grappling pedigree and lots of wrestling experience. This means you get the full curriculum, and wont be thrown for a loop if you compete or drop in at another gym. Train here if you want to get good and have fun.
Really enjoyed the training and instruction. I was visiting from out of town and they were very welcoming and made sure that everyone was friendly and introduced themselves!
I’ve been practicing Bjj for quite a few years at many gyms, in many cities, and Renzo Gracie is just different. It feels like home. Fred and Josh are great instructors, they are really detail oriented, and all the students are respectful, nice, and friendly. Also, Fred and Josh put a lot of emphasis on takedowns to have a well rounded game. I highly recommend the gym for any level.
I was visiting from out of town and am new to jiu jitsu, everyone was super nice and the teacher taught in a super easy way to understand. I recommend to everyone it had a great atmosphere.
I have been training here for a few months, after scoping out a couple other places, and could not be happier except by some unrealistic expectations. There are the normal ups and down -- for me it was minor injuries in the first few weeks of training, due to my own spastic movements. That is much better now. The people are friendly and willing to collaborate, to share knowledge, and to drill together outside class hours. Coach Josh is very kind and helpful, even as he submits you -- he will often roll with unskilled students, unlike some black belts, and he is able effortlessly to coach even as he rolls. He is skilled at managing several things at once. I would say the gym as a whole is very well-managed, and while there have not been noteworthy problems as far as my eye can see, I have full confidence in Josh and Fred to deal appropriately with any issues as they arise. Come join us, if only for the free class! I will personally welcome you just as I was welcomed, as will many others. You can greatly improve your skills here if you are internally motivated and consistent. As for the sport, I cannot recommend it enough -- it can make you tougher in the right ways, build immense confidence, develop camaraderie, and all while staying in shape and supporting flexibilty, athleticism, and long-term health.
This is the spot to go to if you are looking to learn self defense or jiu jitsu. Fred and Josh make you feel welcome no matter your experience level and break down jiu jitsu moves so that everyone can understand. 10/10 highly recommend
Beginner, terrible white belt. I went to 2 other gyms and had 3 other instructors before landing here. I wouldn't call any of them bad, but I would call this one this best. Keep rollin' rollin' rollin'.
I trained here for 3 days this past week, both gi and no gi, as a visiting student with 3 months of experience. They gave me a loaner gi the first day. Make sure you give them a call first. They were super good at following COVID guidelines, asking me if I was vaccinated and keeping masks on the whole time. Not to mention the foot sanitation procedures! This is hands down the cleanest jiu jitsu gym I’ve ever been to. The instruction is also very top notch. I like how Fred and Josh drill a technique and reveal/review details every couple minutes to make sure everyone is following along. I felt very confident afterwards. The instructors and students here are the friendliest and kindest people I’ve met. Maybe it’s a Seattle thing. I could see myself living here and training at this gym everyday!
Renzo Gracie is the best place to train in Seattle. Fred and Josh have created such an amazing community and both devote a considerable amount of time and energy to each student. Their instruction in top notch and they provide a full curriculum that incorporates all aspects of jiujitsu and wrestling. In addition to the instructors everyone in the gym is great. You’ll always get quality training and everyone is always willing to stick around and drill to make sure everyone is improving their game. I really can’t say enough good things about this place and Fred and Josh. If you’ve been thinking about training stop looking now and drop in.
While visiting Seattle from NJ, I had the honor of training at this dojo. From the moment I sent a note asking if I could join a class, to the final bow out, the facility and staff were excellent! The instructor introduced a mix of standing and ground techniques in an expert way, and the fellow students were very welcoming. And who showed up to visit and say “hi” but Rigan Machado! The fact that a bjj legend invested time to visit this dojo is a testament to special place that Josh and his team have built. I would recommend this academy to anyone, whether just starting out, or a competitive black belt. Kudos! Rob from Jersey
Great Jiujitsu coaching, thanks for Fred and Josh. Very friendly atmosphere
I joined Renzo Gracie a few weeks ago to learn BJJ (I'm brand new to martial arts), and it's been a really fantastic experience these past few weeks. The coaches - Fred and Josh - create a welcoming atmosphere for students of all levels and really care about building a community of students. They're great teachers, emphasize technique and details, and encourage students to ask lots of questions during class which I really appreciate. The class is super friendly - honestly everyone I've met is willing to help out new people and even proactively give tips on how to improve which is super cool. I forgot how to tie my belt like the first two classes and people (shoutout to Blake) were super helpful with even small stuff like that. And if it wasn't clear already, it's a ton of fun! Training environment is super clean and just a lot of fun to grapple and learn. Definitely planning on continuing training at Renzo Gracie!
Traveling through Seattle for work so I decided to drop in at the gym. Coach Fred Borden and all the students welcomed me immediately. Everyone was polite, kind and took it easy on me even though I was just a new face in town from another academy. The gym was clean and modern inside with adequate showers and restrooms. The quality of instruction was unbelievable, Coach Fred was detailed and articulate. Class started with a quick warm up and continued with some standup work. For the main technique of the day Couch Fred taught a basic armband from closed guard but added more and more details to it so students of all levels were learning and drilling something new. All around it was a great experience. I most definitely will be going back soon.
I was in Seattle for work and stopped in on a Wednesday night to train no gi. Everyone was super welcoming, the technique was great, and I got to roll ten 6 minute rounds. Fred is the man, nothing but good vibes in the academy. Highly recommended.
I came out from Ohio to Seattle for work and wanted to stop by and check out a gym while I was here. I went to the submission grappling class. Absolutely loved this place. Everyone was really friendly, coaches were tentative and really took the time to explain and perfect techniques, and the overall atmosphere was really welcoming. Would highly recommend.
Just finished training here. Super nice crew of people. Very welcoming. I really liked that we also focused on wrestling and takedowns in addition to ground techniques. Fred is great and very eager to teach. Looking forward to coming back. Brian
Being new to town, finding a new place to train is never easy. I started training at Renzo Gracie a couple of months ago and couldn’t have imagined of a better place. Great atmosphere together with the best coaching ever and now with updated facilities (the best mat I’ve ever rolled in). Whether you’re new to the game, training for competition, gi or no-gi, you can’t go wrong by coming to train with Fred and Josh and be part of the Renzo Gracie family.
I dropped in from out of town and had a great experience. I got to spend a couple days learning from professors Fred and Josh. Everyone in the gym was very welcoming and friendly. I was able to learn some new techniques and details from their instructions and I am very appreciative for the opportunity to spend time at Renzo Gracie Seattle. I highly recommend this gym to anyone interested in jiu- jitsu. Thank you!
I come train here every time I visit Seattle from DC by recommendation of my coach who is also a Renzo Black Belt and teammate of the head instructor, Fred Borden. Every time I leave this gym, I feel my standup game knowledge meter goes up a tick (My standup is terrible). Standup is a specialty of RGA Seattle as both of the coaches were former wrestlers, but don’t let that fool you as their BJJ knowledge is vast having come from the legendary blue basement in Renzo Gracie NYC. In addition to the knowledge that I gain, I also a gain bigger BJJ family too. I always feel welcome here. Every training partner I have rolled with has treated me with kindness and respect. Did I also mention their new location is amazing? The mats are CLEAN with ample amounts of space for training, the facility is well taken care of, and there is a shower room to wash off after a good session of training. Go visit Renzo Gracie Seattle. You will not regret it!
Easily one of the best facilities in the PNW, if not the entire West Coast! Instruction from Fred is top notch. His feedback and direction during class is both calculated and articulate.
I've trained with Renzo Gracie since before the move to the new location. Instructors Fred & Josh are both outstanding! They are able to work with all skill levels, and want to see you improve. We train Gi & No Gi, with classes throughout the week. They've cultivated an excellent group to train with, where everyone looks to see improvement and become better training partners. If you're in shape, out of shape, looking for some self defense techniques, or want to become a killer on the mat I would highly recommend Renzo Gracie Seattle. This location has plenty of parking, restrooms, showers, and a huge space for mats that makes training easy! I would encourage everyone to try it!
Awesome atmosphere. Great people. Clean facility. Fred & Josh clearly care about helping people make good progress. Well worth the time and money to add this to your weekly routine.
Both Fred and Josh are great. They are constantly pushing and helping their students to improve. They take the time to watch and correct technique and deeply care about the quality of training they give to their students
I've been training with Fred for over 2.5 years now and it's been an amazing, life-changing experience. Training is fun and challenging, and will push you both physically and mentally. The other people are all welcoming and friendly, and the community is top notch. I can't recommend this gym enough, it has been an incredibly positive influence for me, and I look forward to continue training for years to come.
