My son was getting bullied at school, and these classes gave him the confidence to stand up to them not with fighting but with the confidence to stand up for himself. I would recommend the teachers to anyone.
We can’t recommend this Jiu Jitsu training group highly enough. Our son is a shy and sensitive little boy, and the impact this group has had on his confidence in such a short space of time has been incredible. Within just three weeks of attending, we’ve noticed him putting his hand up to answer questions… something he would never have done before. He gets genuinely excited before every training session and talks about it constantly, which says everything. He also absolutely loves being part of a “team”… wearing his uniform fills him with pride and has really helped him feel like he belongs. The environment is supportive, encouraging, and exactly what young children need to grow in confidence while having fun. We’re so grateful to have found such a brilliant group.
BJJ at Grace Barra Wakefield has been a great experience so far. People are friendly and you get a really good workout while learning new things every week. Dan is a great, patient coach. I haven't had this much fun working out in years!
BJJ is a great martial art to get into. At Gracie Barra Wakefield it's a great place to learn from a great instructor alongside a great set of people. I recommend this to everyone. OSU!
Great place for kids to learn BJJ in a friendly and safe environment. Our 8 year old daughter was nervous before starting but loves it! Good mixture of ages and boys/girls. Excellent instruction.
Great place to train jiu-jitsu, coaches are very understanding and the classes are structured to ensure you learn the basics first then build up from there. Would recommend to anyone wanting to give jiu-jitsu a try.
Posted 3 years agoSpeaking as a middle aged, love-handled male, that barley exercised before, this place is great! There's no better form of exercise than Juijistu in my opinion. It's fun, energetic and you can watch the weight just fall off, plus you'll learn to choke your friends in thier own clothes. If you're looking to compete, they'll give you skills necessary to bring home medals. Yes the payments are monthly direct debit, but that's how most gyms and martial arts gyms that are worthwhile attending do it. There's enough classes to get your money worth though and you can train at other Gracie Barra gyms too. I'll guarantee you'll make some new friends here and the coaching, led by Coach Dan and Professer Oliver, is second to non.
