They run a solid school with knowledgeable coaching staff. The kids classes have coaches who are skilled and keep it fun. You don't have to have any prior experience to have fun.
This is the best place to start your Jiu Jitsu journey! Their beginner program is super welcoming, and the instructors make sure you feel comfortable from day one. Whether you're completely new or just looking to improve, the environment is really supportive and friendly. It's the perfect spot to build your confidence and skills. I highly recommend checking it out if you're curious about Jiu Jitsu!!
I've had the pleasure of knowing Dorian for years and was excited finding out he opened his own Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym in the south bay. Even further, he invited me out to train and meet his students. The academy is top notch and has a great vibe with a friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend training here if you're new or experienced with training BJJ!
im so grateful to trained with you guys
Great training for all levels and high level staff and teachers. Me and my son love it!
Was visiting from out of town, took me in as one is their own.
My 11yo son has been coming to this dojo for over a year, and the instruction and class atmosphere has been pretty darn good throughout that time. I've had a chance to watch instructors coaching kids in multiple bjj dojos, wrestling, kickboxing and parkour, so I feel confident in my assessment at this point. The coaches are patient with slow, new or uncertain kids and are likewise able to effectively coach kids/youth who want to compete. In terms of imparting the right lessons to the youngsters about learning the discipline vs. winning, and about competing vs. how to be a good partner, they get pretty much all of it right. Don N.
An effortless way to keep fit. It is fun. People are nice. It improved my energy level, which i didn't find in other forms of exercise somehow.
Both of my daughters (6 & 8) have been training here for almost a month now. It’s been fantastic. The coaches/staff are professional, knowledgeable and they really care. The class times are convenient and the cost seems fair and comparable to other places.
I just dropped in one Thursday knowing nothing and Dave and Darren dropped everything to start teaching me. Every night since has been more of the same. Everybody in this gym is cheerful and helpful, and I'm just really impressed how patient they have been with me. They don't forget that I just started, they don't take offense when I knee them in the balls or kick them in the face accidentally, they always give me a chance to practice on them before they turn the tables, and they give me tips after every rep or roll. I made a great decision to come here, and I've learned a lot already in one month.
Been training at Ralph Gracie in the South Bay for about 2 years now, my training partners are awesome. These guys and girls train hard, but are respectful and eager to teach newer members. The instructors are great and really want the best for their students.
No better place to learn the “gentle art” huge Mat space! Great instructors! One of the best places to send your kid to get energy out and build confidence. 10/10 would reccomend
I started with the Ralph Gracie in San Jose last year, and recently, I've been training in the new Santa Clara location. The studio is well-kept and spacious. The coaches are extremely knowledgeful of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the members are all very nice and respectful! I would recommend everyone to try out this academy regardless of experience level.
