Our experience at Prodigy has been really positive. The staff was very welcoming to my daughters and I. The adult classes are full of diverse body types and skill sets. Each instructor has their own unique style of teaching but the lessons still applies to everyone. You also have the freedom to develop your own style of jiujitsu while receiving feedback from the instructors. Everyone is allowed to roll with anyone. However, you are allow to say no if you don’t want to roll. (It’s not a taboo to ask higher belts to roll here.) The kids classes have knowledgeable instructors and are hands on. The kids are always having fun learning while being safe. Some of them even stay after class in groups to play because of the friendships they have created. The gym is very clean and spacious. Overall, if you are looking for a gym that offers good camaraderie, sense of community, great juijitsu and will push you, Prodigy is the place to be.

After years of promising to make it and get training started I finally made it in today. Great people, great environment and very knowledgeable people. I look forward to a lifetime of training. If you have any questions or want to try the gym out reach out the Justin. Very fair priced with a variety of classes for everyone including children.

I just showed up to see what it was all about and got right in for a free class. As a short female I wasn’t sure how I would be received, but everyone was extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I very much enjoyed my experience and came back to sign up and continue with Jiu Jitsu and Prodigy Martial Arts. Highly recommend!

Love learning jiu jitsu at Prodigy! Everyone is always so welcoming and patient and excited to help you learn, no matter where you are at in your journey. The facility is always clean and bright. The 101 Class on Monday nights is very beneficial for those that are new; questions are always encouraged and answered and members of all belt levels are always willing to help. Such a welcoming community. Walking into the doors of Prodigy is one of my favorite parts of the week!

I have been going to Prodigy for 2 years. I have tried multiple other Jiu-jitsu gyms but eventually ended up quitting without making any progress. At Prodigy, I've felt a real sense of belonging and mentorship. Everyone from the coaches to students are very welcoming and want you to succeed and grow. The instructors are top notch! The classes are easy to follow and they have a wide variety of black belts to help. The facility itself is beautiful and kept very clean. I couldn't have found a better gym and am happy that I've finally found somewhere where I've made real progress, friends, and continue to improve my skills. I highly recommend!

If you’re interested in Jujitsu Prodigy is the place. No matter where your skill level is, Prodigy has a class for you. I’ve been to several other different gyms and Prodigy is the the best one I’ve been to. There are no egos here. Everybody is here to train and work hard together. It is great because while I’m training nn the downstairs mat, my son gets to take the kids class upstairs. My son loves Jujitsu and the instructors. They also offered Muay Thai classes and have free weights that you can use before and after class. It is the one stop shop. Thank you to the owners. They are the friendliest guys there.

My daughter and I go to Prodigy! As a full time working parent, we needed a place that we both loved the atmosphere but also where I could workout while she does to save on time. It’s a well balanced place that provides great technique, good workouts, and wonderful people. We are very lucky to have such a great place to train at.

Glad I came to Prodigy! Lots of drilling in class which I really appreciate. Very welcoming and open environment as well Edited a year in: due to my unpredictable schedule, I have dropped into some half dozen BJJ gyms in the Twin Cities. I can say with complete confidence that Prodigy is the best gym in the cities in every way. The facility is spacious and always clean, with bathrooms separate from locker rooms so you can change in privacy without holding up the bathroom. Black belts / Coaches are approachable, knowledgeable, and above all, good teachers. Their focus is on fundamentals of BJJ rather than trendy sport BJJ that’s obsessed with footlocks and NoGi fads, though there is still NoGi training as well as Gi. The team have also done an excellent job of cultivating a culture of respect and kindness for all that come and train. There are no mat bullies at Prodigy, and I’m proud to say that Prodigy is my home for Jiu Jitsu.

One of a kind training experience here!!! I’m a brown belt (145er) out of Texas and was visiting someone close, when she suggested we train! The advanced class, held in their upstairs area, was fantastic with unique scenarios set up. I rolled with everyone from blue belt all the way to all 3 black belts and had a truly fun experience that was amazing. Challenging rolls all around but still an awesome time!!! I stayed for the fundamentals class as well just to work the techniques and was met with clear instruction and concise answers for anything I mentioned. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and I already am looking forward to visiting for another reason now. Every time I’m in the area now, this is my go to spot hands down. Thank you so much to the Professors who welcomed me with open arms and generous rolls! PS Also going back on Saturday and Sunday for more of this amazing place!!!

I trained with Austin Jordan out of Prodigy Martial Arts in Blaine. I started FP 3 months postpartum with the goals to not have a sore back and generally improved strength and movement to keep up with my child. After just 2 months, I had the tools to help maintain low back strength and posture that on long car rides was no longer painful. Austin is incredibly patient, has a way of making the technical movements make sense, is down to earth, and makes working out fun. He has been my biggest cheerleader and has pointed out changes in me that I hadn't seen yet. I highly recommend training with Austin with FP MN.

I joined Prodigy in Blaine, MN a month ago to start training jiu-jitsu.. and my experience has been A++.. I joined with 0 martial arts experience, nervous, and a bit hesitant.. The professors, staff, and training peers at Prodigy welcomed me in like family from day 1.. the facility is beyond well kept with a clean, updated, and welcoming vibe. The added weight lifting/training section of the academy is a huge bonus with brand new equipment. Do not hesitate to come join us and start training jiu-jitsu/muay thai!!! You won’t regret it

Our daughter decided she wanted to try Jiu-Jitsu, and prodigy was the first place to pop up near us. She's been twice, and while she's struggling & having a hard time~~every one here is TOP notch! She's only 11 and struggling with her body image so she's very nervous and feels like she's not like the other kids. The kids in the class are incredibly sweet & try to help & encourage her. The instructors are honestly just on a whole other level. They are phenomenal with the kids, literally pour their passion into them. Even with our daughter who just shuts down, they still try to get her engaged & engage her. They still explain what's going on & show her. They don't just throw their hands up & walk away saying she's a lost cause. They care. She still wants to go, so I know she'll break out of her shell and start actually doing the classes because of them. She showed me tonight what she learned even though she didn't actively participate in class, because they cared enough to still engage her. If you're on fence I say take the jump. Prodigy Martial Arts is phenomenal. They make you feel welcome no matter you're age & level. They take the time to explain things so you understand them. They show their passion in all they do. I don't know that I have ever taken my children anywhere that has people of this magnitude that show their love & passion in all that they do. Literally beginning to end. Thank you Prodigy Martial Arts for being the stellar people you are!!!

I recently had the privilege of visiting Prodigy Martial Arts in Blane, MN while visiting family in the area from NC and I cannot express enough how impressed i was by the welcoming environment and the quality of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) training. In addition to the BJJ classes for adults and kids, Prodigy Martial Arts also offers Muay Thai classes. The academy is clean and spacious. Everyone supports and motivates one another, creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere. The instructor pays attention to students to ensures a safe training environment at all times. I could tell the safety of students is a top priority because Prof. Thao checked on and older student (who competes at IBJJF World masters) after every sparing rounds. I wholeheartedly recommend Prodigy Martial Arts to anyone seeking an exceptional BJJ experience.

Prodigy is a top notch place to learn BJJ. Being new to the sport I didn't know what to expect, but Thao, Justin and all the instructors are extremely nice and welcoming. This is a warning to all those looking to try out this gym I was looking for a gym closer to my house to use so I gave this gym a chance hearing about the first session being free. Immediately upon arrival it was apparent that there is an amazing community but the teacher gave me zero instruction on where to go or what to do. I felt the whole time i was expected to know where to go and what to do which I didn’t. After finishing my first class I was hounded to sign up. A little bit after I got injured and the process for canceling a membership is infuriating at best and has gotten me charged again when I havn’t attended in over a month even after I contacted the staff immediately after my injury. If you already know what you’re doing this place is great but I left my first time with bruises from more experienced members. I assume this place is amazing for those who can use it. But this place has left me frustrated many nights now
