At Pro jiu jitsu. We offer a variety of Martial Arts suitable for everyone. We have designed our training programmes based on years of experience in teaching and competing in Martial Arts. Our classes are designed for beginners, advanced and competition standards.
Coach Chris Greer is a seasoned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor with over 2 years of experience and a brown belt under Professor Norbert Nowak. Known for his professionalism, well-rounded skills, and patient teaching style. His coaching philosophy emphasizes patience and personalized instruction, creating a supportive environment for students of all levels.
Harpreet began his journey with us in 2017 as a white belt and has been a consistent and valued member of the team ever since. While he approaches jiu-jitsu as a hobbyist, his depth of understanding and technical knowledge of the art is truly impressive. Now a brown belt, Harpreet continues to grow in the sport while contributing to the positive culture of the team.
Norbert Nowak is the head instructor of Pro Jiu Jitsu, a third degree Black Belt In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. During his career, Norbert has competed at many national and international tournaments in both Wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has won countless Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitions around the world. Norbert has also been teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for over 16 Years and has taught seminars across the U.K. and throughout Europe. He has coached many National, International and European Champions.
Ram Dau is a highly skilled instructor at Pro Jiu Jitsu with over 4 years of experience. She is a talented coach with a passion for empowering students of all ages with the knowledge and skills required to excel at the art and achieve their personal best. Ram heads up the Pro Jiu Jitsu Children's programme and is committed to helping students hone their techniques, improve their fitness, and foster mental resilience in a fun and safe environment.
Wasim Ahmed is a talented instructor at Pro Jiu-jitsu. He started his Brazilian Jiu-jitsu journey 2012 and has been training under Norbert since 2015, receiving blackbelt in May 2023. Wasim specialises in a modern style of jiu-jitsu and strives to keep up to date with the latest techniques.

Ash McCarthy began his journey with us at Pro Jiu Jitsu as a white belt and has been a dedicated and valued member of the team ever since. Through years of consistent training and commitment, he has developed a deep understanding of the art, with a particular passion for modern jiu jitsu and its evolving techniques. Now a black belt, Ash brings a sharp technical mind and a thoughtful approach to the mats.

I have had a great time training here! I paid for a month as I was only in the city for a short time and it was great! The BJJ taught is great and the environment is welcoming and fun. I felt very safe and comfromatale as a women training here. I could not reomment the gym enough!
My daughter loves it here. The instructor Ram is great with the kids. They are passionate about what they do and great at it. Comes across at every visit.

Top quality jiujitsu gym. 10/10. - Really awesome training and techniques, super thorough technique and drilling, brilliant details - Great team, the people are super welcoming and friendly. - Great competitors, tough rolls, great training all round. - Had a great kids class set up on the weekends which was awesome to see too I dropped into this gym travelling from Australia. Pro jiujitsu is one of the best places I’ve dropped into, it’s just an all round great gym and place to train, it’s got everything you can ask for from top quality training and tough rolls, to fantastic technique and world class details. Norbert and Ram are top quality coaches, with brilliant jiujitsu, it was awesome getting to train with them and the team. Highly recommend training at Pro jiujitsu if you’re a local, or dropping in if you’re travelling. Looking forward to dropping by whenever I am in town 💯👍
Been training here since I moved to Birmingham is an amazing place good teachers with lots of experience. The health and safety is very good teaching me lots of safe ways to enhance my skills. I been here now 6 moves and learning so much privates with the professor Norby wicked teacher. I have been brought into a great community oss
The Pro Jiu Jitsu team in my experience are amazing people and they really take the time to study each student individually. This has really assisted in my growth often confronting me with skilfull frustrations to improve my BJJ. It's so much more than just method and drill system routines, they really care about their students. At the moment I train in the women's only class with Ram but I've also trained with the guys and I've always felt welcome and comfortable on the mat.
Posted 2 years agoPro Jiu Jitsu is a amazing place to train for, a while ago i attended a free wrestling class under the instruction of Norbert Novak who is a amazing tutor his understanding and approach to the people is so kind and good , i could not attend the second free class for my own private reasons but definitely in the first opportunity i ll be back to pro jiu jitsu again.

Felt super welcome for someone with little experience, mats are comfy and the place is really clean too. Wholeheartedly recommend 😊

The atmosphere is great, and everyone is treated with respect regardless of their experience, age, gender etc. Norbi is extremely knowledgeable and I am surprised at how much I have improved over the last 12 months - all thanks to Professor Norbi and the other excellent instructors. If you want to train somewhere that has excellent instructors, fellow students that will help improve you everyday, and a lovely new gym, this is the place ☺️
Posted 2 years agoGreat place to train. I trained here for 5 weeks while visiting from Texas. My wrestling and Jiu Jitsu greatly improved in the short time I was there. Coach Norbert is very friendly and always goes out of his way to help. Whether you are an expert grappler or someone new to Jiu Jitsu, this is the place for you.
