Precision Submission Grappling is awesome! I am 38 years old and I have been practicing Jiu Jitsu for 7 years. Coach Jordan has created an amazing environment to learn, exercise, and make solid connections with like minded individuals. The unique style of training with games based scenarios makes it possible to "roll" hard for a longer period of time with less wear and tear on the body. We also have plenty of "free" rounds to experiment on our own. If you want to learn Jiu Jitsu from any level this style is definitely worth a try. My guess is you may end up sticking around. Update: The new permanent location is amazing! It's huge and has showers. The training room where the Mats are has a big garage door which is really cool. fresh air and sunlight is a big plus. Update 2: My son started training at PSG and absolutely loves it. He thinks it's fun and engaging. The game based system of learning really seems like a fun way for kids to train.

My son, Easton, started attending the kid’s Foundations class over the summer and loved it from day 1. He is neurodivergent and does not take to new things easily, which tells me he just sort of “clicked” in this gym. It’s a very welcoming, inclusive space where Coach Jordan truly pours into the kids. He offers a great balance between class instruction and 1:1. All of the littles stay well engaged with a variety of fun games and training strategies, but when someone gets a little silly (as kids do) he does a great job of discipling/redirecting while still maintaining the same encouraging environment. For us that aspect is just as important as the jujitsu skills, finding a gym that cares about the whole athlete/character building is everything. We just recently moved up to the Precision class and feel excited to continue to challenge our son to grow in the sport and as a person with Coach Jordan!

The structure and games Jordan leads us through at PSG are not only a better way to learn grappling than traditional drilling, it is way more fun! You’d be hard pressed to find a coach/owner that genuinely cares about the progress of their athletes the way Jordan cares about the athletes at PSG. Top notch place to train. The other athletes at the gym are highly motivated to get better themselves, and help you along the way where they can.

Precision Submission Grappling Dear Jordan Peitzman, It was an absolute honor to host you at Mason City Fight Team for your No-Gi Jiu Jitsu seminar. We greatly appreciate the time and expertise you shared with our team. I’ve trained/grappled with Jordan on and off throughout the years, and he consistently proves to be a challenging instructor at the highest levels. He also has a remarkable ability to teach individuals of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners, and does exceptionally well with that. During your seminar at our gym, my team learned a lot and really enjoyed the experience. Your coaching style made a significant impact, and we are excited to apply what we’ve learned in our training. I highly recommend visiting Jordan’s gym Precision Submission Grappling, booking a private lesson, or considering him for a seminar—it’s an opportunity that shouldn’t be missed! We look forward to welcoming you back for future seminars. Thank you once again for your contributions to our community! Best regards, Brown Belt Mike Estus Mason City Fight Team North Iowa Fights

If you’re looking to get your kids into martial arts PSG is the place to go! Whether it’s Casual training or competition style. Jordan is an amazing instructor. Both of my daughters attend the kids class they do high-level jiu Jitsu competitions and Jordan always gets them prepared for their matches and they love it there. I also attend the adult morning class at 6am-7am. Very friendly environment. The kids are awesome to be around. And They even offer a three day free trial!

I was traveling to Des Moines for work and stopped into Precision to get some training in. Jordan and the other people in the gym were wonderful and friendly. They have a great training program and are one of the best places in town to get real live training. Warning! You will get better at Jiu Jitsu coming here.

My boys have been in Jiu Jitsu for 5 years. It’s their favorite sport! We have loved training with Jordan and going to his Sub Spectrum competitions. You can tell he really loves and is passionate about Jiu Jitsu. He’s a wonderful instructor and creates a wonderful learning environment! I’m very thankful to have found this amazing sport and group of people for my kids to be around.

Coach Jordan really knows his stuff. His attention to detail makes him a great instructor, and his skills as a competitor shine through. He's bringing something new to our area that could change how we all train. If you're looking to level up your grappling game, I'd definitely recommend checking out Precision Submission Grappling.

Jordan is an outstanding Coach and person. Since moving to the area over three and half years ago, I’ve been a regular at his 6am class. I often tell him that I receive more guidance and expertise in his one-hour sessions than I ever did in 90-minute or two-hour classes at other gyms. It was a true honor to receive my purple belt from Jordan, as he is an incredible ambassador for the sport of Jiu Jitsu. He runs the most well-organized, exciting and fun tournaments at Subspectrum, and I’m confident his gym will reflect the same passion and dedication. Jordan has also taught my son and does an exceptional job working with youth. While it’s selfishly sad to see Jordan pursue a different path outside of No Coast, it’s exciting to imagine the amazing new community he will grow.

Jordan is a fantastic jiu jitsu instructor. He introduced me to no gi jiu jitsu and I’ll never wear a gi again. His teaching style is interactive with little drilling and better flow. He puts the students into positions and allows them to be creative on advancing the position. He guides and teaches but doesn’t focus on memorizing long sequences of moves…instead he tells you your goal and the student can work towards that goal in multiple ways. Additionally, I’m almost 40 years old and my body can’t take the punishment it used to. There is more focus on learning and much less focus on rolling at 100%. He tries to pair up student of similar skill…it’s not fun rolling with someone who is 50 pounds bigger and been rolling for 10 years longer. I just don’t learn in that environment. Jordan ensures you are always learning. My seven year old son has been learning under Jordan since he was five. My son absolutely loves it and has learned so much in the past two years. It’s a life long skill that he will never forget. I highly recommend you train under Jordan as an adult or child.

My sons have trained with Coach Jordan for two years now and he is exceptional. He patiently explains and demonstrates techniques, keeping classes fun and engaging while ensuring real skill development. He truly cares about his students, providing individual attention and creating a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where kids can thrive. They really enjoy his classes! Since starting with Coach Jordan, they've not only gained strong grappling skills, but also confidence and a growth mindset. If you're looking for a great coach to help your child learn and love grappling, Coach Jordan has made all the difference for my sons.

I’ve gotten to train under Jordan, and I’m blessed that this opportunity came across my plate. He runs a great practice, and his approach to teaching jiu jitsu, which focuses on games and constraints over traditional drills, has markedly improved my game. It is sort of like Jedi mind tricks because you learn jiu jitsu without “learning jiu jitsu.” As someone who has experienced both styles, there is not a better way to learn, especially if you are brand new to the sport. Not a bought and paid for review, he’s just a great guy who loves grappling and teaching it to others.

Jordan has been my Jiu Jitsu instructor for over a year now and I’ve learned so much. His teaching style has made learning and getting better much easier for me. Always willing to help and answer questions, definitely going to make this my home gym for the future!

I have trained with head coach Jordan Peitzman for over 3 years and my Jiu Jitsu has improved immensely. What sets Jordan apart from other coaches is the attention and effort he puts into coaching. I have trained at many gyms throughout the country and most of them have the same formula: show technique, practice against partner who isn't resisting, then spar. This formula isn't conducive for success. Jordan's approach is different. Instead of showing overly complex techniques, there are objective based games against a live resisting opponent the entire practice. This allows me to get the most out of my hour of Jiu Jitsu in the morning and makes it simpler for someone who wants to try out Jiu Jitsu. The last thing I love is that there is mutual respect in Jordan's rooms from white belt to black belt. There is not any idolatry of upper belts or strange rules which creates an environment of equality that makes it easy to walk in, make friends, and train hard. I highly recommend Precision Submission Grappling!
