The King Of Wakanda
This gym held a seminar training that my 10 year old son attended. The gym is outstanding and that includes the trainers, students and the management staff. Very welcoming, had a list of what the daily training was and instruction was great! Will come again!

Precision is a great place to train for adults and children of all skill levels. I, as well as both of my children (5 & 7) train here and it’s a great experience. The kids love learning new techniques and the discipline the coaches instill in them is invaluable. The instructors and everyone at the gym always make everyone feel welcome and the atmosphere is friendly while also being competitive. If you’re looking for a school this is a great place to be. If you’re on the fence about starting training, just drop in and give it a shot.

Was traveling and ended up around this area for a week. Did just a drop in week. Amazing atmosphere and excellent instructors. The high quality of instructors shows through their students. We let them know we were preparing for NAGA Nationals and was SO helpful in getting preparing with matches. Definitely will come again if in town and HIGHLY recommend!

I am from out of town and have gone to Precision 2-3 times with a friend who is an active member. Only been when Josh is teaching and he is great guy and coach. The other coaches have also been around and helped tremendously. I’ve only rolled a handful of times and they really slow it down for you at the beginning and make sure you are getting your mechanics right. Very grateful to have the opportunity to be around that group to learn!

This review is longer than normal, but it’s thorough. I learned that I would be traveling to the Jackson/Flowood area for work and wanted to continue training. I asked my Coach David Morris where I should train, and he wholeheartedly stated that I should go to Precision Martial Arts. I took his advice and dropped in for a class. I was immediately greeted by Coach Josh Kennon who was friendly and direct. I got to class about 45 minutes early and was able to sit and observe kids' class. Coach Josh was able to keep the kids attention, by engaging them in Jiu Jitsu based games and helping focus their attention during instruction by asking tournament point-based questions, which may not seem like a lot, but you could see these kids light up when they got the answer right. Each of those kids were smiling during the entirety of that class. As the kids class ended, I observed the Coaching staffs dedication to hygiene and cleanliness, and in todays day and age, that is of paramount importance. Not only was Coach Josh Kennon cleaning the mats, but he also employed numerous adult students, who eagerly volunteered to help. The adult class was friendly and informative, and all of the fellow students went out of their way to introduce themselves, and at no time did I feel like I was a stranger. This is where I was introduced to Coach Anthony Mitchell. Coach Mitchell instructed the adult class, and it was awesome. Coach Mitchells passion and devotion to the art and sport was apparent from the start. The hour plus, spent learning and then rolling with my partner for the night, and later Coach Mitchell were fantastic! I never felt like an outsider who was just “visiting”. This is one of the common bonds that is shared between those who participate and live both the art and sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. If you’re in the Jackson Mississippi area and want to get into BJJ, get back into BJJ, get your kids into BJJ, look no further, this is the place to go! The professionalism, dedication to the art and sport, cleanliness and overall family feel experienced in this school are second to none.

My 7 year old has been with precision for about 2 years now and has grown into the young man that my wife and I want him to be. Self control, discipline, and situational awareness has grown exponentially. Awesome instructors and plenty of them in every class help to bring the 1 on 1 instruction take every lesson to a higher standard. I started adult classes a month ago and love it! I love coming into the studio. There is ample time provided for free-rolling, but the lessons are brief and in-depth. I prefer smaller classes because Josh, the instructor at the Flowood location, is hands-on, especially in smaller classes. I learn better that way. The building is always clean and Josh has always provided me with a temporary gi when I needed one. He’s a giver and a great instructor to have. Precision is my sanctuary.

I've had the pleasure of training at this gym for the past 3 weeks. Even my daughter has decided to try it and so far has fell in love with it. When I first arrived everyone was very welcoming. Also being prior military and current law enforcement, I've been in multiple training environments. The training that is given here is by far second to none. 5 months back, at the age of 50 I start training cold turkey at Precision Martial in Flowood. It’s been very challenging and just as rewarding. Josh and the instructors are very knowledgeable and take great pride watching as each student progresses. Everyone whether novice or advanced gains from each class and helps each other in a family type atmosphere. I’ve been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for several years. Throughout that time, I’ve experienced a wide variety of Jiu Jitsu gyms; from other states, to other countries. Been going here around a year now, and it has been an awesome experience. Everyone is very knowledgeable and friendly. I joined with no experience in fighting sports other than watching MMA occasionally, and I have learned so much since joining. The class schedule works great for me with 2 or 3 classes on most days. It is also convenient being able to go to both the Flowood and the Ridgeland location with one membership. There are a wide variety of people of different skill levels, sizes, and levels of fitness. I was not in the best shape when I first joined, but my cardio has vastly improved since starting training. Definitely recommend!

The people at this gym create an atmosphere that makes you want to come back, night after night. I can’t recommend this gym enough and am thankful for the friendships that I have developed over the past year!

Precision Martial Arts is a very high end jui jitsu academy. Multiple black belts teaching with Anthony Mitchell leading. While the instruction is top notch, the best part about Precision is the family atmosphere. They care about you as a person. Whether you want to compete at a high level or want to get in shape and be able to defend yourself, this is the place to be. In the few months I've been here, I am amazed at the quality of instruction here. I can't recommend Precision enough

As a complete newbie to this whole sport, I had very insecure thoughts as I began, but so far, everyone I have encountered have been very understanding, encouraging, and patient...aside from that, you get to interact with a great group of people who are very skilled at what they do, and you will also get a great cardio workout

Two of our children (6yo female and 8yo male) attend Coach Josh's kids class regularly. They both love Coach Josh and enjoy his class. As their parents, we have seen their confidence grow and their athletic abilities increase. We plan to begin attending adult classes soon and wouldn't let our kids train anywhere else.

My first experience at the gym was an amazing one. All of the people there were nice and easy to talk to. They were willing to help when I had questions and pointed out my mistakes when I made them to be sure I was doing things correctly. Overall a great experience and cannot wait to be there more.
