The best boxing gym for beginners
I am very out of shape but beginning boxing here is one of the best things I have done for myself in many years. The students and coaches have all been welcoming and I've never experienced any judgement for moving at my own pace. It is a good environment to push yourself in no matter where you are at with your skills or fitness. I already have a more positive outlook on life and I am excited to see how I look and feel 12 months from now.
This place is dope! They have everything you need to get an amazing workout no mater how you like to get a burn! Boxing, strength and conditioning, grappling, machines they got it all!

This gym is amazing, and if I had a few extra bucks I'd sign-up to join my kids. I'm not a boxer, so would have to rely on the experience of the coaches at the gym - BUT, I am a father to three sons and have been to more sports programs in the valley than I care to count. With that experience, I have to say that Protege has been an unbelievable experience so far. We're only a week in, but the coaches have been amazing with my two sons, who are still learning. You also don't have to be an aspiring boxer (my boys just wanted to get in shape) to get value out of this gym. This is a great gym, and it feels like a friendly family. My boys are excited to participate for another couple of months and get back in shape. If anyone is looking for more personal fitness, this is an amazing place to find it.
Uhaul Dealer - The Uhaul representative at this location has the BEST customer service, there was an issue with the 24/7 pick-up through the app and he was so helpful. He got us checked out and was super fast. Very knowledgeable, willingness to assist with an issue, professional - ALL AROUND 5 STARS! Would recommend and reuse this dealer every time. The trucks are parked behind the shopping center - if you aren't familiar with renting from a Uhaul Dealer (a separate entity that also provides Uhaul rentals) this is fairly common. I called ahead to verify and he gave me very clear instructions 🙂 I could not express more how pleased I was with this rep and the service he provided.
Great gym, after a year you become an unbeatable machine, this is the place for sure.

Great gym and run by chill people — shout out to Chosen and Igor! I was visiting from out of town and this gym had everything I needed (weights, squat rack, punching bags/gear) without the unnecessary chaos of mega gyms. I will definitely come back whenever I am in town!! Thanks guys!!
New gym home. Reasonable and approachable ownership. Get your work on! This gym is the fresh start I sorely needed due to past gym experiences. The coaches will actually TAKE THE TIME to walk you through on technique. As any gym worth their salt should do that for you. They offer training for children as well. And as a dad of an 8 year old- I’m sure you can tell the importance of that! The gym is also incredibly close from where I live and easy to find as it is quite close to the 101 freeway. Please feel free to give the gym an honest try. Believe me- part of me was NOT looking forward to start. Starting is the hardest thing. Once you start- keep consistent. It’ll be the best decision you’ve made for yourself and those you care about.
The coach and staff here is very professional, easygoing, and fun. They provide good classes and trainings with reasonable price. Been here for a while. Highly recommended!!!!

So I’ve been to many many gym and when I say this place is the gym of gyms I mean this is the DRAGONBALL Z hyperbolic time chamber of gyms. It doesn’t just rank first it exceeds the rankings. With cryo therapy, massage therapy, the motivation the coaches, and the family vibe it’s more then just a gym I promise you won’t wanna leave after you join. There is so much more to this place you have to come see it for yourself it changed my life.

Going to a fighting gym can be incredibly nerve wracking your first time! Luckily the staff and students create an amazing environment that has something for everyone. From excellent kids boxing by coach Chosen to high level grappling from coach Mario. I have grown so much as an athlete from my time training here. The team atmosphere is very real. We support our members when they compete and regularly get together inside and outside the gym. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking to train, compete, or up their fitness level.
My kids love the class I have 4yrs and 6yrs old.. and I have a good training also good motivation. A mis hijos les gusta mucho la clase creo pueden entrar desde los 4 a 8 años hay otra clase de 8 a 12 años Muy buena para que practiquen su disciplina aprenden a seguir instrucciones y trabajar con más niños Y mientras yo también entreno en una clase y hay maquinas para hacer cardio te mantienen motivada y no dejan que te aburras En la clase y vas a sudar tenlo por seguro... El más pequeño sigue trabajando en no distraerse y seguir instrucciones pero le encanta ir al box

Lots of Fun! The atmosphere is positive and everyone is excited to train. Most gyms treat you like just another body and do not spend much time with you, while still throwing you into the ring. Not at Protege, they make sure that you learn whatever your discipline and make it fun. You will not be thrown into the ring until you are ready. I leave always wanting to return and learn more. Best atmosphere, best gym membership around. Many different affordable options. Classes for every skill level. Self defense, no-gi Jujitsu, Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Boxing programs. Youth classes available, competition team membership available. Morning classes and evening classes available. This place changed my life for the better and has become a second home. Welcoming staff and friendly environment. Not intimidating or pushy like other gyms, very respectful and clean. Staff cleans after every class. If you want to get in shape this is the place, if you want to compete, this is the place. If you want a friendly place to workout, this is your home.

I started with boxing and kickboxing in August. Fell in love with working out at Protege. Best Gym in town. Great coaches, very clean. I became interested in Jiu-jitsu and was so happy to hear that we could start! Best Jiu-jitsu team!

I went in for cryotherapy and it was a fantastic experience that really improved my day. The staff is professional and taking all the precautions during the current pandemic. I was a little nervous to get into the chamber but the staff provided reassurance and went above-beyond in making me feel comfortable. I recommend going in for cryotherapy if you are feeling sore or just need to recover.

I've only been there once, but both my son AND my husband enjoy going to the gym. This was only the 5th class that my son attended and he already has a connection with Coach. I really enjoy getting to see the excitement in my son's face - especially after THIS past year. I am excited to watch him develop his skills. 🙂
I take the boxing classes at 4:30 or the one at 5:30 aswell as the Muay Thai at 7:30 they also have bjj at 5:30 I've done it a few times teachers/ instructors are great
This place is so messed up I can’t even train when little kids are bothering me the couches are to harsh when I don’t want help and the music is WAY to loud
I would not recommend this gym to anyone. During one training session, I hurt my ankle because the mats were not properly aligned properly, causing their foot to get caught and resulting in a sprained ankle. To make matters worse, the owner tried to persuade me to work there, offering to pay me in cash, which felt very unprofessional and suspicious. Overall, I cannot recommend this gym to anyone looking for a decent place to train. It's better to find a more reputable and well-maintained facility.
I've been coming to Protégé for the past three months, and I've been attending the kickboxing class for the past month. Unfortunately, my experience has not been good Every time I attend the class, the bags used for training are not set up. This makes it feel like a complete waste of money since I'm not able to use the entire gym as intended. The instructors are very nice, but they do not treat the staff properly. In addition, the mats are not cleaned frequently and it is very dusty, which is concerning for hygiene. It's unbearably hot because the owner refuses to turn on the air conditioning. To make matters worse, there is no water fountain available, and the vending machine has been broken for quite some time. Overall, I am very disappointed with the conditions at Protégé and would not recommend it to others.
The general manager at this gym is very unprofessional. My fiancé and I both felt uncomfortable . Our son went to 3 classes and all 3 the Times were unprofessional. We pulled our son from the program. We asked for some of our money back and he lied saying it will be back in my account that same day. We never received it. I do not recommend this gym to anyone.
